With the time Travel Event EA is letting us take not only a trip back in World History but also a trip back in TSTO history…with items from TSTO events past in the Medieval Mystery Box!
This is a premium box full of your change to get those limited-time premium character/building/decorations with a Medieval flair to them. By now we should all be familiar with how Mystery Boxes work, so let’s jump to the breakdown of what’s inside..
This is the second of THREE Mystery Boxes that are slated to be released before this event is over. This theme is more Medieval Stuff, the next (and last) one is for 4th of July. It will hit later in the event (and yes, I’ll write posts just like this one for that one…so please don’t ask. It’s on my to do list..)
And…if you already have everything in the box you’ll get the popup but you won’t see the box in your store.
So for 60 donuts you can have your shot at a variety of Medieval Themed premium characters and buildings from the past, 60 Donuts is less than the initial value for each item…

Here’s what you can win…
Catapult- Returns from Clash of Clones 2014. Offers 2.25% bonus
Barbarian Statue- Returns from Clash of Clones 2014. Offers a 2% bonus.
Notre Dame of Springfield & Seamus- Should I Buy was originally 150 Donuts.
Two-nicorn- Should I Buy, Originally 70 donuts. NPC, pukes rainbows when tapped.
Shadow Knight’s Throne & Shadow Knight (Skin for Bart)- Should I Buy, Originally 200 donuts, throne has a 2.75% bonus. Shadow Knight is a skin for Bart.
Castle of Equalia & Queen Helvetica (skin for Lisa)- Should I Buy, Originally 175 donuts. Queen Helvetica is a skin for Lisa.
Freakshow Tent- From Halloween 2013. Was originally free, offers no bonus %.
The three worst items are the Catapult, Barbarian Statue and the Freakshow tent. The Tent is by far the worst item though, at least the others have a bonus %
Now, while I know you can’t pick and choose which items you want from the box, I included the Should I Buy posts from the past so y’all can see how much they originally cost & what specifically each building/character does.
60 Donuts is a bargain for any of these items…as they originally all were more than 60 donuts (especially for a couple of those character combos and decorations). (except for the 3 worst items I listed above) So it’s certainly worth giving it a try if you have the donuts and want the items!

Got the Statue. Luckily i joined after CoC so it’s a great addition to my town next to Jeb’s statue!
i wasted 60bonuts, ofc i get the lame statue…
is it known what will be in the 3rd act’s mysteery box (if there will be any)?
Only things in it were Seamus, the Twonicorn, Equalia Lisa and the Bart one. Hoped for Seamus or the Twonicorn but would have been fine if I wound up with Equalia. Didn’t really want the Throne, but could have lived with it. Got the Twonicorn. Would have rather had the full character Seamus, but I’m more than fine with Furious D chasing a rainbow puking Twonicorn around.
Luckily didn’t have to worry about the catapult, Homer statue or the freak show tent. Very happy with the results, picked up Shadow Knight, Queen Lisa Helvitica and Seamus on my three tries.
Debating whether I should get the last mystery item, Two-nicorn, for 60 donuts. Any advice?
Depends on if you like NPCs. If you’re donut poor… I’d pass but personally I love having it walk around.
Technically, it’s only a mostly NPC. I know many others (myself included) have said it before, but the Two-nicorn has a 16 hour task where Furious D follows it around. It’s pretty funny to watch!
I’m not sure if it’s 60 donuts funny, though. If I didn’t love its animations, I would pass.
Lisa and I are so happy…we just got Castle Equalia on the first try!!

I skipped the mystery boxes in the first act, but I kind of wanted the Two-nicorn, so I gambled this time. I pulled Equalia on the first try and the catapult on the second. I might try a third time, but that freak show tent is mocking me!
I picked up a few I’d been wanting. I have no idea why I still have my Freak show Tent even out, it was stored for a long time until the abandoned warehouse came into play, then it kind of fit with the theme. I already had the 3 worst, so I ended up buying the castle/Lisa skin combo, Throne/Bart skin, & the one I wanted the most… Twonicorn (tunacorn😂)
Furious D has a task with Twonicorn, it pays better, but I liked having another horse(?) 😂 I’d already bought the Seamus combo during the ATW event. Happy so far, but I’m farming my butt off! Now I see they added more items OY VEY! When does it stop? I should be happy being able to get past items I missed, but slow down already EA 😂
I tried and got Seamus on the last attempt. Some of the other stuff was useful but I fell in to the trap.
I already had the crap items from the past events, I did it twice and got the twonicorn and Equalia which I’m super happy with because they were the two things I wanted. Sometimes gambling does pay off.
I wanted the shadow knight so bad, it looks so cool!
I spent 180 donuts and got the catapult, statue and Seamus. Not sure if I want to risk any more, knowing that darned tent is still available.
If I already had the item (statue, tent) it wasn’t an option. Tried once, got Notre Dame, very satisfied. Not going to push my luck!
Didn’t have any of the items, opened one box, and got the item I wanted most! Shadow Knight!
I had all options available but only wanted Seamus. Went in and out a few times till he was the first in the list. Don’t know if that actually made a difference but I got him all the same. Great deal for 60 donuts. Will take him and run until the pirate mystery box becomes available!!
I just wasted 120 donuts. Got the Freakshow tent and the Barbarian statue. Should’ve known better.
Well I was VERY fortunate – I actually only had TWO items in my Medieval Mystery Box – the Shadow Knight & Notre Dame/Seamus!! So for 60 donuts apiece this seemed like an absolute steal! DONE!! 🙂

Got Seamus and then Queen Helvetica so I guess I shouldn’t complain… Thing is I actually wanted Two-nicorn lol
Does anybody have any idea what will be in the four of July mystery box? I really want the medieval items but I’m concerned that if I spend all my donuts on them I will regret it when fourth of July comes out.

G’ah. I really don’t want that Freakshow Tent or Two-nicorn. And I have three castles already at this point. Might not be worth the gamble at this point…
thankfully, I already had the freakshow tent.
I decided to go all out on this mystery box selection because I already have quite a few castles and i really wanted Lisa’s castle to add to my collection. (it’s a lot smaller than I expected but still looks great.)
What will the next mystery box theme be? The future?
Glad they are charging 60 donuts for these medieval mystery prizes. (80 donuts for the Wild West was too much to risk when I only wanted 2 out of the 6 prizes)
