Time Travel Toaster Prize Guide: Egyptian Era, Prize 7 Pyramid and Taskmaster Willie

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Hang onto your toasters my friends because we’re going flying through space and time!  The latest event in TSTO has us going wayyy back in time to when Dinosaurs roamed the earth, Pharaohs were building pyramids & Pirates hobbled around on their peg legs!

This Event is broken up into 3 Eras, with each Era containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the second Era, Egyptian, you’re tasked with collecting Papyri () to unlock each prize!

The seventh Egyptian Era Prize awarded at 86,900 is the Egyptian Pyramid and Taskmaster Willie, because it’s not a part until Willie’s flashing everyone in his kilt…

So let’s take a closer look at this seventh prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 86,900 you’ll automatically be awarded the Pyramid and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place the Pyramid in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it (and you won’t get Tachyon credit until you’ve placed it)

This is a SKIN for Willie, not a new character (like Caveman Moe was).

Once you place and build (4hr build time) the Pyramid you’ll see Taskmaster Willie’s Character Unlock Message popup:

And he’s part of the Sun Worshippers Character Collection:

He does come with his own questline, here’s a look at the Turbo Tappin’ Version of it…

Taskmaster Willie does NOT earn Shovels. (but regular Willie does…)

And now, because I know some of you will ask me this given how some of you have struggled with aspects of this event.  Is it worth it to spend donuts to get Taskmaster Willie?  The answer, no.  Unless it’s only 10-20 donuts, no it’s not worth spending them for a skin.

Of course that all being said, continue to play until the last second of the Egyptian Era so that you can get that donut cost down as low as possible…

And there you have it, the details behind Taskmaster Willie and the Pyramid the final Egyptian Era Prize.

What’s Next?

Bonuts!  For every 8,800 you collect after you’ve unlocked Taskmaster Willie you’ll have the opportunity for 1, 2 or 3 donuts.  Beyond that it’s just waiting until the next Era (Pirates) hits our games.

What are your thoughts on Taskmaster Willie and the Pyramid? Have you unlocked it yet? Where have you placed the Pyramid in your Springfield?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. It is only a warning, If the game runs smoothly, you can continue it as usual. You didn’t to nuke your game.

  2. I have a question for you guys… I’ve been toying with the idea of entirely redesigning my Springfield from scratch. However, if I make th town go kaboom, will it store EVERYTHING, including the trees, flowers and other plants?

  3. two willie skins in a row that are practically the same, what is the point of this?

  4. So far, these are the first series of tasks in YEARS I haven’t been completing fully and I don’t know how I feel about it. It does give the impression that EA are asking you to spend real life money on donuts to complete when before hand I’ve done without having to.

It’s by no means a grumble, it’s just taken the shine off the game that’s all

    • I would point out that the amount of time per act/era is lower than most past events. Many previous events had official run times of 40 plus days, where as this one was 37. With currency totals that were comparable to other events, you ended up with 2 less days to earn the total. This also had the unfortunate changes of reductions in payouts and the bonus from the excavation site not working as projected. This was also one of the first times friend visits was pretty much required to make the totals. Most events had enough currency sources to make the totals. Also in the past, I had an option of skipping daily quest rewards to try for donuts, this event was a currency or it is a waste set up.

  5. If you didn’t get the last one w Willie n pyramid. Don’t fret. You get one for $1000 in the pirate thing. Cheers.

  6. Got Willie and Pyramid last night. Tapping 4 times a day, with help from Gravedigger but didn’t do any friend visits. Seems clear from reading other people’s posts that 4 times is a day is the sweet spot for this event.

  7. 1 hr 12 minutes to go and Willie and his revealing kilt are mine!

As a Scotsman I would have bee gutted not to get this!

  8. Pyramid and Taskmaster Willie –

I like the scale of the Pyramid (even though it looks more Mayan then Egyptian) and the animation is lol worthy

I accept the fact it’s a Taskmaster Skin for Willie, but HUGE thumbs down on the fact he’s not a Premium (earning double the shovels), HUGE thumbs down the Kids in Springfield are not herded into Tuts and Tots, HUGE thumbs down Springfield Characters can’t visit Pyramid (as a Task) – it’s just another Freemium Building earning XP + $ + increased Vanity

EA got this combo half right, Tappers should not waste Donuts / Bonuts to earn this, just earn (and store) shovels for Act 3!

    • Due to a cold I got willie down to 20 doughnuts. I get the skin may not be much but I’m couriouse about the cat chasing the mouse. You said lol worthy. Is it cute/visual enough for 20 doughy? Thanks ☺

  9. I have missed a bunch of event prizes…I didn’t get Moe’s Cavern this event, but I also missed getting Bont from the Secret Agent event and also Lucius Sweet from the Sports one (was that what he was from, I can’t remember?) and several other final prizes. But I work retail and often I literally can’t stop every four hours to do my Simpsons, or I just forget! But my husband works from home so he CAN schedule four-hour stops……and he’s still not gonna get Taskmaster Willie without spending donuts (which he won’t spend). So it really seems like this event has been made much harder than previous ones….does anyone else feel the same way?

    • I am a long time player, so it’s sort of habit now. I am already through all the pirate crafting items, and my shovels are at 199 just waiting… I didn’t think I had that big of a problem. Perhaps I should go outside more

    • It was only made difficult for those who didn’t spend any donuts on the ‘additional helpers’ with the extra shovels and papyri from Boobarella, Gravedigger Billy and Paharo Skinner, it was ridiculously easy. I couldn’t log in for two and a half days, and I still had the pyramid on the penultimate day and even managed one bonut round.

I think that’s EA’s way of syphoning donuts. On the other hand, considering the myriad of options we have these days, to earn them for free, it’s not so difficult to understand why premium items like Pharao-Skinner tend to bee quite expensive lately.

    • Absolutely. I wonder if they are looking for a way to close out the game by discouraging people to carry on playing. I am on multiple times across the day and was nowhere near completing caveman Mo or getting the Egyptian Pyramid. Despite my best efforts, i am not going to pay 115 donuts for a non-too-impressive looking pyramid.

  10. Tapped a lot more obsessively this round to make sure that I didn’t miss out and got it just now in my B game. Looking forward to Pirate part three. Tough with no premium items to help. My son spent 35 of his 70 donuts on shovels in the B game, so now trying to save some up again in case something good comes along.

  11. Got it with just 12 hours to go and that 12 hours includes trying to get a good night’s sleep in very hot weather in the UK currently. I normally have time to have 2 or 3 rounds of bonuts on events but no chance with this one so I am just saving shovels and friend visits for Pirates Act in the morning.

  12. Willy reminds me of the school caretaker of my old school. Not Scottish, but a real Amsterdammer (Jordanees). Could make sense of him when he was talking, totally incomprehensible.

  13. Since Taskmaster Willie does not earn shovels, there is no reason to finish his tasks until after the event, Correct?

As long as you need to upgrade the Panini Press, Craft and bank Shovels for Act 3
      Wait until the Event ends

Only a building and a skin?
Feels like the rewards for these events have gone seriously downhill.

    • I wouldn’t have a problem with a building and a skin as the last reward it it wasn’t a complete useless building and skin. The Pyramid might be the least interesting build in the event and the wind up the kilt animation freaks me out.
