Addicts Bracket Challenge: Most Desired Building, Week 1

How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there are plenty of buildings in the rich history of The Simpsons universe still not in our little game. We present to you TSTO Addicts’ Most Desired Building Bracket Battle.

Like last year, with your help, we created a Bracket of 64 beloved buildings we believe would bring a smile to your face, have great tasks, could make for an awesome event, or simply be a nice idea for a new Friends Point prize. Unlike last year though, you had a huge say in what buildings made the cut.

We pre-selected 96 buildings organized into eight thematic conferences. We had chosen four to get automatic entries into the Bracket. However, your votes in the pre-Bracket polls selected which four buildings would join them in each conference. Those 64 buildings would then battle each other in six rounds of head-to-head matchups, that we hope produces the most debate in the comments below.

With the Bracket determined, every Friday over summer, we’ll post that week’s matchups and your votes will determine which buildings advance to the next round, until we’ve crowned “The Most Desired Building” on Friday September 1st.

For general housekeeping rules and guidelines, please click on the link to the first pre-Bracket poll.

Here’s a recap of the results from our last two polls:

Joining Praiseland, City Zoo, Springfield Union Station, and Springfield Mystery Spot in the Attractions/Landmarks conference is…..

5th seed Springfield Speedway (700 votes)
6th seed Mt. Splashmore (659 votes)
7th seed Marine World (592 votes)
and 8th seed Fort Springfield (518 votes).

Missing the Bracket were…
Diz-Nee-Land (418 votes), Springfield Playhouse (341 votes), Plaster Mountain Theme Park (294 votes), and Fort Fragg (269 votes).

Joining Joe’s Tavern, The Jazz Hole, CBGB, and The League of Extra-Horny Gentlemen in the Bars/Clubs conference is….

and 8th seed P.F. Wangs (448 votes).

  1. problem with voting. it lets you vote on both items in each category. just letting you know.

  2. Off-topic…..

Readers at EA™ forum are excited because the pirate bridge can go over rivers (like a “real” bridge) and across the ocean between two sections of boardwalk

Was anyone else disappointed that Pirate Kang had to take off his pirate skin to do the pirate tasks?

    🇬🇧😁

  3. Great 👍 bracket challenge. And since I am incapable of making any decisions on my own when it comes to this game….to buy or not to buy?!?!?!?!….it nice to see how my masters (and yes Safi….that includes you, and yes one of these decades I will catch-up on SH) voted. Some I agreed with and some I didn’t 🙂

    • 😂😂

    • You know you’re special to me Swissy. I have 88 neighbours, and you’re one of only two who isn’t a Springfield Heights billionaire. If you weren’t you, my SH elitist attitude would have dropped you as a neighbour months/years ago, lol.

  4. Put in the inventory brazier of Winter 2016 Event and ruins of Treehouse of Horror XXVII Event. Then put them back in your Springfield, you can do it unlimited !!! 😉
(I found this on a French site)

  5. Alissa’s picks were right on .
But need to add hemp farm or festival

  6. Love having a new bracket challenge, but I missed the Safi’s tale-of-the-tape commentary, etc. Also, and don’t take this personally, mods, but I don’t think we should see what they vote for (or at least not until after the results are announced), because I think it has too much potential to affect how folks will vote.

But, overall, having fun with this bracket challenge! 🙂

I’m glad you said this, I thought it might skew the results as well, even on a subconscious level.

  7. Bouvier house Moe’s Apartment Springfield University
Fort Springfield Joe’s Tavern The Slaughterhouse
    Law Firm

  8. I couldn’t choose, all of the buildings reminded good laughs I had so I voted for all of them 😁.

  9. I agreed with Alissa 7 times, Safi 6 times and Patric & Wookie 5 times.
Patric and Alissa both had a vote that nobody else went for and on both occasions I agreed with their choice. My favourite of all the buildings is Jazzy Goodtimes. I love jazz music so even though we did not agree on as many of the buildings as the others I go with Patric as he is the only one who agrees with my favourite. I we get it in the game it would be great if it came as a combo with BLEEDING GUMS MURPHY!

    • Lol well goes to show im “in touch” with the readers 😉

      • The Jazz Hole is also getting my vote but I think Jazzy Goodtimes is a nicer looking building. I don’t mind admitting that I actually cried in that episode of The Simpsons (Jazzman?). In my opinion the best Simpsons episode ever!

  10. I voted for the Bouvier House, Smooches on the Beach, Springfield U, Fort Springfield, PF Wangs, Jazzy Goodtimes, Law Firm + Springfield Shopper. I also forgotten to vote in the last challenge so I didn’t want to miss out on this one. 🙂
