We’ve flashed forward from the land of Egypt to the era of rum, jolly rogers, pirate ships and scurvy…and of course we’ve got loads of Pirate Era items in our Springfield just temping us with those sprinkles!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Candy Apple Island to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this deliciously named island to your town…

Donut Cost: 45 donuts
Earns: 2% Bonus % on all cash and XP, also earns 435 
when placed
Size: 9×9

Other Info: Can be placed in Ocean only

Pros
-Ok (but not great) bonus %
-Animated when tapped, “eyes” (big cave openings) light up blue.
-Reasonably priced for such a large item
Cons
-No benefit for the event
-No questline or tasks associated with it (not even dialogue)
-Large ocean footprint
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
It’s a reasonably priced decoration, that offers an OK bonus percent. It offers no benefit for the event, and really doesn’t do much. So,this one is going to come down to, if you like it get it…otherwise pass.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can you I’ll likely be passsing. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

I bought it & like it, it looks good as a “destination” for the row boat, and is probably why the maidenhead ship wrecked 😂😂😂
I was thinking pretty much exactly what you posted! I embellished the island scene in my town with additional small islands, including the one from awhile back with an airplane tail sticking out of the sand. In my mind, it makes sense because Amelia Earhart could easily have gotten caught up in all of the time travel happening in this event.

I got it.. I like the look of the eyes and i had a big open water space. Fits perfectly. I usually get one or two premium items from each event. This and the water slide tree we’re my two purchases.
I got it, just because it’s an island and all pirates need an island or two. 🙂
