Time Travel Toaster Prize Guide: Pirate Era, Prize 1 Pirate Animatronic

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Hang onto your toasters my friends because we’re going flying through space and time!  The latest event in TSTO has us going wayyy back in time to when Dinosaurs roamed the earth, Pharaohs were building pyramids & Pirates hobbled around on their peg legs!

This Event is broken up into 3 Eras, with each Era containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the third (and final) Era, Pirate, you’re tasked with collecting Eye Patches () to unlock each prize!

The FirstPirate Era Prize awarded at 10,100 is the Pirate Animatronic Sign, because nothing says Pirate like some fun Animatronics…

So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 10,100 you’ll automatically be awarded the sign and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place the sign in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it (and you won’t get Tachyon credit until you’ve placed it)

It does come with a little big of dialogue when placed…

Sea Captain: Oh, nice to see a friendly face.  What be your name, sailor?  Not much of a talker, are ye? The sea will do that to a man. Aye, it will.  Well, if you don’t mind the company, I’ll join ye in robotically waving my arms around for a spell.

That’s it.  Just place and move on…

And here are the quick details:

Size: 2×5
Tachyons When Placed: 486  (Remember you have to PLACE it in your Springfield to get the Tachyon credit.  You won’t get credit if you store it in your Inventory and never place it…after placed and Tachyons are paid out you can store it without consequence)
Earns: Nada for now.  Just a decoration..but who knows.  I’m sure one day EA will bring it back as a premium item and throw a bonus % on it…
Conform-O-Meter:
Vanity +100
Other Info: Can be placed on the grass/pavement/beach/boardwalk/dirt/pier
Animation: Always animated…

And there you have it, the details behind the Pirate Animatronic, the first Pirate Prize!

What’s Next?

ico_stor_single_freelandtokenTechnically the Free Land Tile is next….awarded at 18,500, but since that’s not a tangible gift for Springfield (just a free land space) the next prize we’ll cover is…

Pirate Fire Pit- Awarded at 31,100.  This will be the next prize we break down in the prize guide post.

What are your thoughts on the sign? Safe to assume you’ve unlocked it by now?  Where have you placed it in your Springfield?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Pirate Animatronic

You inspired my cheap Cedar Faire version of a Disneyland Pirates of the Caribbean Flume Ride (lol) – a shame everything Pirate can’t be placed in Krustyland (a real bum’arrrr)

I really like the animations for the Pirate Era items! When I bought the mermaid pond, I was kind of mehhhh, this is going to be boring, but so far the Pirate stuff is fun 😊

  3. Well…that was kinda anticlimactic: I just got the final prize: pirate ship and sexy pirate, 7d12h ahead of schedule… It took me only two days to get all the excavation prizes. Also crafted all the prizes with 50k specimens saved up since I got the mermaid. I am a premium player, this event was too easy/quick! Considering the problems non-premium players seem to have to get all the prizes, there is definitely a problem with balancing the gameplay between free to play and premium. On the plus side, There is some time now to nuke my town and rebuild the basics before the 4th of july event. Or maybe I’ll just take a break…. just kidding, I’m an addict!!!

    • Was there a pattern you figured out that got you all the excavation prizes that quickly?

      • I ended up saving shovels near the end of act 1 and 2, and after those were used up I used one of the patterns suggested by the detailed post on this site. But having 220+ shovels at the start of act 3 really sped things along…

  4. I wish you could make the span over water like the bridge!

  5. All the items of Act 3 are small (except the last price) 😶
