4th of July Mystery Box

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

We’ve been traveling back in time, but now it’s time to put on our American History hats (cue the groans from those outside the US) as we gear up for Independence Day here in America!  And nothing says Happy Birthday America quite like a dip in the old Mystery Box…

This is a premium box full of your change to get those limited-time premium character/building/decorations with an American flair to them.  By now we should all be familiar with how Mystery Boxes work, so let’s jump to the breakdown of what’s inside..

This is the third of THREE Mystery Boxes that are slated to be released before this event is over.  This theme is all American Stuff,  and the last one we’ll see with this event.

And…if you already have everything in the box you won’t see the box in your store.

So for 75 donuts you can have your shot at a variety of American Themed premium characters and buildings from the past,  75 Donuts is less than the initial value for each item…

4th of July Mystery Box Leaves Games July 5th…

Here’s what you can win…

Presidential Estate (w/ Freedom Falcon)- Should I Buy Estate. Should I buy Freedom Was originally 85 donuts for the Estate, 45 donuts for Freedom.

Americatown (w/Kumiko & Sailor Kumiko)- Returns from Around the World 2017. Should I Buy. Was Originally 135-175 Donuts

Republican Party HQ- Should I Buy was originally 90 Donuts.

Retro Lard Lad (w/ Laird Ladd)- Originally from a 2017 Episode Tie-In.  Should I Buy. Was originally 120 Donuts

Springfield National Park (w/ Teddy Roosevelt)- Originally from 4th of July 2016. Should I Buy Was originally 200 Donuts

Scandalgate Hotel (w/ Richard Nixon)- Originally from 4th of July 2015. Should I Buy. Was originally 150 Donuts

Ye Olde Cherry Tree (w/ George Washington)- Originally from 4th of July 2014. Should I Buy. Was originally 180 Donuts

Lincoln’s Cabin (w/ Abraham Lincoln)- Originally from 4th of July 2013.   Should I Buy. Was originally 150 Donuts

Now, while I know you can’t pick and choose which items you want from the box, I included the Should I Buy posts from the past so y’all can see how much they originally cost & what specifically each building/character does.

75 Donuts is a true bargain for any of these items…as they originally all were way more than 75 donuts (especially for those character combos).  So it’s certainly worth giving it a try if you have the donuts and want the items!

And that’s it my friends!  The details on the 4th of July Mystery Box….

What are your thoughts on the Mystery Box? Have you tried it yet? What have you won so far? What do you hope to get? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Instead of Retro Lard Lad I have Sprawl Mart in my box..and also Eisenhower, who isn’t listed in this post..strange..

  2. I already had Kumiko. I got Retro Lard Lad, Then Lincoln, then Nixon, then Roosevelt. I stopped there. The odds of getting the Republican HQ are getting too high. 🙂 Washington maybe next year…

  3. ‘Doh. Only one I didn’t want was republican hq, thought my odds were pretty good, but no, got hq. Ugh

  4. So the vault reset today and The Happy Sumo came along with Akira. Am unsure whether to go for the mystery box or get Akira. I have 107 donuts and don’t farm so won’t have time to get both. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😊

  5. I manage to take showers
    even eat and work

farming the hell out of it the TSTO

    Could buy
    Scandalgate Hotel (w/ Richard Nixon)
Springfield National Park (w/ Teddy Roosevelt)

    I’ll go after another president
    maaaaaybe
    President Eisenhower…

    Cheers from BRAZIL

  6. Does the Retro Lard Lad come with the character it originally came with? The picture doesn’t show him, but might be the deciding factor if I try for the box.

  7. Wanted all presidents but luck wasn’t on my side so i had to buy all of the content that was available from the mystery box.

Same with me, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Great stuff and really fun dialog! Not sure why I was so meh about all of the presidential stuff before. Plus, and as much as I dislike the idea of tying bonus characters with buying donuts, I ended up also getting both Manhattan Shelbyville and Jebediah Springfield.

  8. I was saving donuts to buy Washington and Lincoln for the 4th. The mystery box it is and i got AmericaTown (meh) Retro Lard Lad (double meh) and the Presidential Estate (triple meh). Debating buying donuts to try my chances again….

  9. I got the boxes in following order:
    5of8 Americatown
    5of7 Presidential Estate
    4of6 George Washington
    2of5 National Park
    4of4 Lard Lad Retro
    3of3 Republican HQ
(“Position in row” of “sum of possible items”)

    Lincoln and Nixon are left.
Items, I absolutley didn’t want: Republican HQ
Items, which are okay, but not wanted: Presidental Estate, Lard Lad Retro, Americatown
    Items, I preferred: all presidents

Conclusion: 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th attempt were bad luck; 6th was completely sh###y, 3rd and 4th were good, 7th and 8th will be good as well. There is definetly no trick to get only good items…

Presidential estate plus freedom not what I wanted and used my donuts up😖, wanted a President

I love the Mystery Boxes! Sure, I passed on the Medeival and the Old West boxes, but that is because I wasn’t interested in what was available. But this one? I couldn’t resist!

So, I already had Nixon, Roosevelt, and Americatown. The one I wanted most was Washington. I bought a box and I got Lincoln (my 2nd choice). I tried again and got Washington. What luck! Now, with 200 donuts left, do I complete the presidents and get Ike? Go for the mystery box? Or save until the next event?

  12. I got Teddy on the first try!

  13. …then I got the presidential estate and decided to buy out the box. Totally worth it.
