Not only is the Toaster bringing Pirates to Springfield, but now we find out that’s how the presidents have been coming to Springfield all along! As Bart has flashed back in time to bring President Mike Ike (mmm now I want candy) to Springfield to help him with his homework!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to grab this past president because he’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add President Eisenhower and his 4×4 to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this likable prez to your town…
Character: President Dwight D. Eisenhower
Building/Decoration:Eisenhower’s 4×4
Donut Cost: 150 Donuts
Earns: 4% bonus on all cash and XP, also 1,445

Other Info: Can be placed on the grass|pavement|boardwalk|pier|dirt|beach (sadly the 4×4 does not move around Springfield. When Ike uses it it’s stationary)

Pros
-Ike will have a task inside the 4×4
-Animated when in use or tapped, lights turn on when tapped. When in use it shakes and Ike sits inside of it and waves his club around.
-Fun animations

-Not voiced
-4×4 doesn’t move around Springfield (even when in use)
Final Thought
Premium:
I like this combo. Then again I like ALL the Presidential combos that have hit this game. But when you break this one down it’s 75 donuts for a character and 75 donuts for a decoration paying a 4% bonus, that’s not a bad deal on either of those. So I’d pick this one up.
Freemium:
I’d pass. (even though I like Ike) You’re better off spending your donuts on the Mystery Box and getting another president for less donuts.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell I picked him up immediately. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before he leaves our games for good (or for now).

Can’t find Ike anywhere. Checked if there was an update but there is nonever. Do I need to contact EA?
To get the prize you want in the mystery box…this worked for me,
Open box, see line up of items. If the one you want isn’t the first in line, close, re-open. The items will rotate, keep doing that until you see the one you want is first in line then buy it.

How do I get my emails started again? I haven’t done anything different with my device so am confused as to why they stopped. Any suggestions?

I like Ike (see what I did there?) but I was waiting for the discounted “Springfield Pet Shop & Jub Jub” to become available in the Vault. Has anyone else seen this in the vault yet?

I just got all of the presidents that were in the mystery box (I had none of them before), so I think I’ll hold off on Ike (or, as Swype wanted me to say, “Ikea” lol) until he’s on discount sometime down the road. (I have enough donuts to get him now, but it’s the principle…. I wasn’t dying to have any of the presidents, so why pay full price for any of them?)
Just think, guys! 50 more years and Tapped Out can give us ALL the presidents!
In 50 more years there will be at least 13 more presidents
2 terms of 4 years makes at least 6/7 presidents.

I agree trend of EA selling items at rebated prices has made me more hesitant to buy anything that I do not really, really want right then and there.
As to 4th of July, not a big fan of it, besides America becoming free, collecting presidents and fireworks just not my thing, but it is nice as I know it is a lot of other peoples thing. Obvious from posting here, and life in general.
I did go, as mentioned in different post, for the National Park that was available in the Mystery Box discounted items.
Happily I was able to get it 🙂
Happy Fourth of July to all
With all the great buys and the mystery box I have depleted my donuts. I need to quickly farm donuts over the next few days to get the remaining 2 presidents from the mystery box. Can anyone advise whether it is better use of my in game cash ($15m) to increase the size of my KEMF (currently 28 KEMs 4 times a day at 450%) or to purchase bloodmobiles.
Nevermind, I answered my own question. BMs cost $132,000 and yield 13,200XP, so that’s 0.1 XP/$. KEMs cost $14,400 (for additional KEMs over the 28 I am already farming) and yield 2000XP, so that’s 0.14 XP/$. Therefore, additional full price KEMs are more cost effective than Bloodmobiles. Looks like I need to increase my farm production.
Bloodmobiles are good for speedy returns, so you can always do a last minute push if you’re a little short
Ike is ok, but I’d rather have Patton and the Jeep with an option for him to be using the tank.
As for other Presidents, I can think of several that rank higher than Ike for being in the game. FDR, Grant, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison. Heck Ben Franklin would be funny as well.
Franklin, although never a president, would be a GREAT 4th addition, imo. Second that.
I agree…would rather have Franklin…think he would be a great addition, could have Bart getting lightning zapped with the kite/key gag.😁
IRL, I think Ike is a terribly underrated president. I’ve no idea if some of the dialogue they gave him with Lisa is actually based on anything, or just lazy stereotyping on the part of the writers.

Last year something inside of me decided I needed to have the presidents and so I saved up my freemium donuts and bought all four (along with Rex Banner, making it a very expensive July for me!)
So it’s a little discouraging to see them all essentially at least half off in a 75-donut box, but I was happy with my purchases at the time, and it is what it is.
And it’s a further reminder that, in the current climate of Tapped Out, unless you HAVE to have something, never pay full donuts for it.
…that being said, and even though Ike doesn’t seem that interesting, I’m probably gonna pick him up just the same…
I’d like to get all the Presidents, but I would have to buy a 132 donut pack to get him. And as Ike isn’t all that exciting, I am on the fence so far.
I passed on Eisenhower for 150 donuts, but I splurged and bought every item in the 4th of July Mystery Box. #noregrets

The mystery box deals were too good to pass up. Grabbed all the presidents, unfortunately got saddled with Republican HQ in the meantime, but got lucky and the only thing left in the box I don’t have is the Presidential Estate. Leaving it right there, too! And, alas, I got all the other Presidents, so I snatched up Ike as well. He’s actually not a bad deal as Alyssa states, but I’m sure he’ll come back next year for 75 or something. In the meantime, I’ll have benefited substantially from the 4% bonus and the premium character to (hopefully) justify the 150 vs. 75.

If I needed other presidents, I would for sure use the mystery box.
I spent all my donuts, very unlike me, on the mystery box. I have gotten all but Nixon and the lard lad. Could have done without the Republican HQ and the presidential estate. Happy to finally have Washington and Roosevelt. Have had Lincoln for years. Ike will wait for another year, though I would love a Willy in my town!!

Right there with you bnfire. I blew just about all my donuts on all 6 mystery boxes and only had Lincoln previously. Ike can wait while I save for %bonus and vault items. Look how fast americatown and sailor Kumiko returned… it’ll be a quick year to get Ike on rebate next time around.
