Time Travel Toaster Prize Guide: Pirate Era, Prize 4 Wisecracking Parrot

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Hang onto your toasters my friends because we’re going flying through space and time!  The latest event in TSTO has us going wayyy back in time to when Dinosaurs roamed the earth, Pharaohs were building pyramids & Pirates hobbled around on their peg legs!

This Event is broken up into 3 Eras, with each Era containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the third (and final) Era, Pirate, you’re tasked with collecting Eye Patches () to unlock each prize!

The Fourth Pirate Era Prize awarded at 43,700 is the Wisecracking Parrot, because every pirate needs a parrot…

So let’s take a closer look at this fourth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 43,700 you’ll automatically be awarded the parrot and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place the parrot in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it (and you won’t get Tachyon credit until you’ve placed it)

Once placed you’ll get his character unlocked message…

And he’s part of the Swashbucklers Character Collection..

It does come with a little questline when placed…

Intellectual Parroty
Marge starts

Marge: Look Maggie, it’s your favorite wisecracking parrot from all those movies!
Blue Haired Lawyer: This parrot infringes on the intellectual property of a company so big, I can’t even say its name without getting sued.
Marge: You can’t just own the entire concept of a talking parrot.
Blue Haired Lawyer: You can when you are a rapacious foe of all that is innocent and good in the world.
Tap the Wisecracking Parrot- x3

The Parrot is an NPC.  He is not really voiced, he makes a little noise, but I wouldn’t really call it a voice.

He does (similar to the Globe from Around the World) say some hilarious jokes when tapped….

That last one is probably my favorite…

Ok they may not be hilarious to you..but I’ve been cracking up like crazy reading them.  While my husband just shakes his head at me.  In our house we call these “Alissa Jokes”…the cheesiest, corniest jokes around.  Make me giggle every time!

And there you have it, the details behind the Wisecracking Parrot, the fourth Pirate Prize!

What’s Next?

Technically the next prize is 1,000 Specimen awarded at 52,100, but since that’s not a tangible item for Springfield, just extra crafting currency.  So the next prize we’ll cover is…

Gallows- Awarded at 67,200.  This will be the next prize we break down in the prize guide post.

What are your thoughts on the Parrot? Safe to assume you’ve unlocked it by now?  Thoughts on his jokes?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Into storage with most of my NPCs.

  2. The Parrot

    Another damn NPC
Another NPC put right into storage
I’ll take the Parrot out of storage IF EA does the right thing
(turn the Parrot into a Character – like Krusty’s Monkey!)

Too many NPC’s in this Event 👎

  3. Am I the only one to be disappointed with this? I wanted him to SPEAK, now I’m hoping I don’t tap him otherwise I have to wait for the message to end like that annoying 🐸 i occasionally tap or the 🌎 … yes, I know I can store them…

  4. I love love love the parrot and his jokes! When I heard he was a tiny NPC I was bummed out but once I read the jokes I was cracking up. What a nice surprise!

One thing I find interesting about “placing” this type of item…..
The game seems to have a mind of its own as to where it wants to ‘place’ it.
Travels waaaaaaaaaaaaaay over to the other end of my town. And then places it. Sort of takes me on a scenic tour.
    😎

  12. Best npc ever! ☆

Two thoughts come to my mind.
Store the Spooky Story Swamp and then pull it out of inventorystore Bart’s Treehouse and then pull it out of inventory.

    • Have you tried store the threehouse?

    • I had Martin stuck there a couple of weeks ago. I just ended up storing the library (which stored Martin) to get him out. You could do the same with Bart-just store his treehouse. Once you get his treehouse out of storage, Bart should come with it.
