Time Travel Toaster Prize Guide: Pirate Era, Prize 6 the Gallows

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Hang onto your toasters my friends because we’re going flying through space and time!  The latest event in TSTO has us going wayyy back in time to when Dinosaurs roamed the earth, Pharaohs were building pyramids & Pirates hobbled around on their peg legs!

This Event is broken up into 3 Eras, with each Era containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the third (and final) Era, Pirate, you’re tasked with collecting Eye Patches () to unlock each prize!

The Sixth Pirate Era Prize awarded at 67,200 is the Gallows, because Pirates need some way of public humiliation and torture…

So let’s take a closer look at this sixth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 67,200 you’ll automatically be awarded the gallows and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it (and you won’t get Tachyon credit until you’ve placed it)

And that’s it, just place it and move on.  No dialogue, no questline.  Nada.

Here are the quick details..

Size: 3×5
Tachyons When Placed: 851
Earns: Nada for now.
Conform-O-Meter: Obedience +5
Other Info: Can be placed grass|pavement|boardwalk|pier|dirt|beach
Animation: When tapped the prisoner gets a wedgie…pretty amusing animation!

What’s Next?

Sexy Pirate- Awarded at 88,200.  This will be the next prize we break down in the prize guide post.

What are your thoughts on the Gallows? Have you unlocked it yet?  Thoughts on the animation?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I don’t know if I’m going to make it!! With a 2 days and hours left to go I’m just BARELY getting the gallows. There’s no way I can make the sexy pirate in two days!!! As a Fremium Player that is. My only hope is that I can farm it enough so that it doesn’t cost too many donuts before the event ends and I just purchase the final bit with 50+ donuts or something (I’ve got a store of 166 right now). It’s poopy, but at least I’ll get it. I’ve found this one so tough to acquire the final prizes in each prize line this time. 🙁

I’m just here to grumble about the bridge animatronic that can’t be placed on water. Grumble, grumble…

  3. This is a silly question, I know, but has anyone else had a excavation site without a prize? Got a few more places still to dig, but there can’t be any treasure there because of the neighbouring squares. What to do…?

  4. The Gallows

Tappers deserved more lol worthy Decor like this (interactive) vs NPC’s (non player characters)!😅

Who knows what EA will make it do post Event (just glad it’s not causing as much anger as the Walt Disney Co is with their future plans to their Pirates Rides)

  5. Bonut-Reward is per 9.150 😑 It’s pretty high imo .. I’ll go for 4-5 Rounds of Bonuts and then wait for next event / save for Halloween

  6. This one went straight into storage for me.

  7. What crafting items give the most XP points on placement?

  8. CyanideTipped

The gallows works nicely in my pirate area and I rather like the Sexy Pirate (and the dialogue).

  9. There seems to be a big gap between the gallows & the pirate prizes. Taking me an age to accumulate the currency.
At least a couple more days I reckon.
Some freemium players will struggle to reach that pirate !!!

    • I found that with the last Act, I’m freemium and did manage to get the final prize. I do have Gravedigger Billy. It was a long hard slog though.

    • Yeah, it took me a while but I unlocked the Pirate with 6 days to spare. I’m Farmium more than Freemium though, as I bought Booberella and Blackbeard. I’m still logging in periodically, but I’m not really concerned with bonuts as I get more from KEM’s, and 150,000 to retry (instead of the usual 50,000) makes it even less appealing.

      • So I have maybe a stupid question… (sorry, relative newbie here – only been playing a few months): Does KEM farming (or any farming?) only work to get all the bonuts if you are at the highest level?!

        • It’s actually much easier to KEM Farm if you’re not at the highest level. Once you get to Level 939, the amount of XP you need to fill the level bar doubles so it essentially takes twice as much effort than if you’re not at max level. There is a great post on this site written by Safi about KEM farming, you should search for it & check it out.

          • But you’re missing the part where you can earn 3 donuts every level-up at level 939, instead of only one donut at the lower levels. (True, if you don’t pick the box with three donuts the first time, you’ll have to pay extra to get to the box that does, but, if your bonus multiplier isn’t super, super high, it’s worth the extra $50-100K.)

        • Nope – it just changes how many you’ll get when. All farming does is earn XP faster. By earning XP, you level up your XP meter and either earn one donut for a true level-up (like from level 122 to 123) every 500,000 XP, if you’re under level 939, our earn you a round of bonus boxes every million XP, if you’re at level 939. Does that make sense?

(Actually, if you’re under level 60, there are some levels for which you earn two donuts for leveling up, IIRC….it’s been a while for me….)
