Hang onto your toasters my friends because we’re going flying through space and time! The latest event in TSTO has us going wayyy back in time to when Dinosaurs roamed the earth, Pharaohs were building pyramids & Pirates hobbled around on their peg legs!
This Event is broken up into 3 Eras, with each Era containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the third (and final) Era, Pirate, you’re tasked with collecting Eye Patches (
) to unlock each prize!
The Seventh (and final) Pirate Era Prize awarded at 88,200 is the Pirate Ship and Sexy Pirate, because someone needs to bring sexy back in that town….
So let’s take a closer look at this seventh prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 88,200 you’ll automatically be awarded the Pirate Ship and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place the ship in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it (and you won’t get Tachyon credit until you’ve placed it)
Once you place you’ll see the Sexy Pirate Character Unlock Message popup:

And now, because I know some of you will ask me this given how some of you have struggled with this and previous Eras. Is it worth it to spend donuts to get the Sexy Pirate? The answer, as it always is, is how many donuts are we talking?
If you can get the Pirate for 65 donuts or less…absolutely yes. Totally worth it. Character and building, no doubt. If it’s 110-66 donuts, probably. Usually great prices for a character/building combo..but this one isn’t premium. The Sexy Pirate (at least not now) won’t pay out premium, even if you spend donuts on him. So that 110-66 donut mark is a probably…if you like him enough. Anything over 110 donuts, pass. Don’t spend the donuts..he’s just not worth it.
Of course that all being said, continue to play until the last second of the Pirate Era so that you can get that donut cost down as low as possible…BUT if you’re going to spend donuts remember to do so before the timer runs out, because there is no next act to go back and purchase him during.

What’s Next?
Bonuts! For every 9,150 you collect after you’ve unlocked the Sexy Pirate you’ll have the opportunity for 1, 2 or 3 donuts. Beyond that it’s just waiting until the event is over and leaves our games.

Not worth wasting Donuts / Bonuts to obtain – there’s more (new) characters, buildings, decor available constantly (ie Pride mini event started immediately with better stuff, in my opinion)!
A fun Event that could’ve (should’ve) been better (I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Time Traveling)
I don’t think EA has ever given a premium character as an event prize, although sometimes event prize characters become premium later on, when they return for sale a year or more later.
I didn’t have any premium characters but since I was able to check a lot I just managed to get the last prize this morning. It wasn’t a fun event, I had to put a lot of effort in to it. Thankfully it paid off as I managed to get all the prizes but not everyone has the time. I’m off college at the moment for summer so if I wasn’t I don’t think I would have been able to do this. Fingers crossed they listen in the future. I might if I’m lucky get one round of donuts but I might not.

I thought this was a pretty nice prize compared to the rest of the event prizes. At the very least, the ship looks great, and this is one item that’s sure to be a premium sometime later.
Should get him in the morning. Usually I’m well ahead of schedule, but I’ve been occupied the last couple weeks. (No biggie; event bonus boxes aren’t the donut source they once were. Much more profitable to build kwik-e-marts.)
Is there a secret to bonut sounds? I have gotten four lots of one donut in a row and I’m losing my mind hahah

I always start with the box on the far right. Then in subsequent rounds I pick whichever box had three donuts last time.
It’s somewhat easier if you’re collecting doughnuts from farming. The 3 almost always shift position from the previous time so you’ve got a 50/50 chance. I always keep going until I get 3 anyway, as 150k or 300k is nothing really, although it’s much higher than normal farming which is only 50k a retry.
No – actually, it’s more likely that the three donuts will be in the same box they were before. Someone one posted a long list of results and that was the one pattern that could definitely be detected. I always start with the box the that the three donuts were in for the previous round.
Yeah, sometimes I get runs where it’s the same… but I’d say from my experiences that 90% of the time it’s different. I have successfully gotten 3 first time, several times in a row, by always shifting my guess one position. Whatever works
FYI I just got my 3 rounds of doughnuts from KEM farming and the results for the 3-donuts position was: 2, 1, 3. My guesses were 2, 3 + 1, 3. So I only had to retry once on the second round as I was fairly sure it wouldn’t be #2 again.
You can’t tell anything from three rounds… You need to look at at least 100 rounds of results to see any meaningful patterns (and even that may be way too few….not sure what the complete rotation is, or whether there even is one – it could actually be random, unlike, say, the mystery boxes).
I’ve thought of tracking the results myself, but I’m not always tapping somewhere where I’d have access to the list (if I started one) and, besides, to readily see the pattern, one would need to often all three boxes each time (even if one got the 3 donuts on the first or second try) and I’m not yet that committed ( don’t have enough cash to waste inn that exercise).
Yeah, it was just an sample to illustrate my experience. The game would need to be left open for days to make it statistically meaningful, as it basically gets reset each time you enter the game. I will keep advising people that it always changes position as that’s what I have noticed the majority of the time, and that’s how I get 3 doughnuts on the first try quite often. Very rarely do I get the same position each time, but whatever works for you 🙂
What makes you think it resets every time you open the game? If, in fact, it’s not random,then idoubt I it resets, since, for example, the mystery boxes don’t.
In my latest harvest, the three donuts were in the same box for at least four rounds in a row. I thought of you when it was happening, lol! 😉
As a KEM farmer myself, I have stopped putting the extra $150k or $300k to get the 3 donuts. If I pick 1 donut (from Maggie or event bonuts), I place 20 extra KEMs to spend the $300k rather than spending it for just 2 more donuts. If I pick 2, then I place 10 extra, and zero extra if I Pick 3 donuts the first try. Doing that takes an extra 4 hours for the KEM to mature, but it is a sure thing for the same amount of donuts and a good chance for even more. Right now my bonus percentage has me at 13 KEM for donuts (with the multiplier on) and will be even better once I am down to 10 with multiplier on.
All good points. It’s only $50-100k for normal KEM farmed doughnuts though, and I build 35 KEM’s every time. I don’t really have any additional space to build extra ones, so I really just want to maximise my return. I can lose a max of 300k after 3 rounds, but my house-farms more than makes up that amount so I’m never short on cash.
Why oh why is his “pirate” ship flying the Union Jack and admiral’s ensigns?
Yeah, it’s weird that tapping the boat doesn’t change them to skull and crossbones or similar

I got the Sexy Pirate with 5 days left. The other 2 final prizes were with 3 days left. It helped to build up shovels right before the next Era. I like the Sexy Pirate, especially since I got Blackbeard. Sexy Pirate is a different take on pirates.

Got it today… upgrading the panini press made all the difference.. that 6 second wait time is awesome, you can get 100 eye patches per hour (or so). I only got caveman Moe after spending a ton of donuts and I lost the second prize… all in all I didn’t care much for this event
This is the first time since I started (December 2015) that I do not get the final prize. I had probems with first act too. Even that I play at least three to four times a day, every single day through the acts…
Pirate needs an 8-hour task independent of Marge (especially if it only pays 87 XP for both of them!).
The sexy pirate’s boat takes up a lot of space but I really like this in the Ocean. I finished my 3rd round of boughnuts today and I was able to get Richard Nixon with the Scandal Gate Hotel. I hope I’ll hit round 4 tomorrow before the Event removal update.
Side note. If you don’t have Luanne, you will only have his task. and then continue on to the next part.

the biggest letdown for me is no rowboats on rivers or lakes
For me the best prize has been Moes cavern
I have no idea why but every time i see caveman moe tending bar it makes me smile

I like the Sexy Pirate and his quest dialogues are funny enough. Shame his 8 hour requires Marge though.

Surprised people may struggle to get him…I’m on my 5th or 6th bonuts round (with over 130,000+ eye patches). But yes…I do have Boobarella and Black Beard. It makes that big of a difference?
It does make a difference but so does hitting the game very regularly & using the daily tasks for currency & of course visiting friends.
I am on my 3rd round of bonuts & had 14 shovels every 4 hours. Those who had say 10 shovels i.e. no premium characters may just make the sexy one.
