Addicts Bracket Challenge: Most Desired Building, Week 3

How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there are plenty of buildings in the rich history of The Simpsons universe still not in our little game. We present to you TSTO Addicts’ Most Desired Building Bracket Battle.

Like last year, with your help, we created a Bracket of 64 beloved buildings we believe would bring a smile to your face, have great tasks, could make for an awesome event, or simply be a nice idea for a new Friends Point prize. Unlike last year though, you had a huge say in what buildings made the cut.

We pre-selected 96 buildings organized into eight thematic conferences. We had chosen four to get automatic entries into the Bracket. However, your votes in the pre-Bracket polls selected which four buildings would join them in each conference. Those 64 buildings would then battle each other in six rounds of head-to-head matchups, that we hope produces the most debate in the comments below.

With the Bracket determined, every Friday over summer, we’ll post that week’s matchups and your votes will determine which buildings advance to the next round, until we’ve crowned “The Most Desired Building” on Friday September 1st.

Here’s a recap of the results from our second set of eight Round 1 matchups:

#2 seed Murder House (57% – 779 votes) defeated #7 Brockman Mansion (43% – 591 votes)

#2 Snuggler’s Cove (64% – 851 votes) defeated #7 Aphrodite Inn (36% – 484 votes)

#2 13 Euclid Street (51% – 682 votes) barely beat #7 Saint Sebastian’s School for Wicked Girls (49% – 655 votes)

#2 City Zoo (55% – 743 votes) defeated #7 Marine World (45% – 598 votes)

#2 The Jazz Hole (74% – 992 votes) defeated #7 One Night Stan’s (26% – 350 votes) – Had One Night Stan’s won, it would have been disqualified and replaced by The Jazz Hole in Round 2 on the basis of it’s emergence in our games

#2 The Pretzel Wagon (68% – 897 votes) defeated #7 Taj Mah-All-You-Can-Eat (32% – 431 votes)

#2 Martial Arts Academy (60% – 798 votes) defeated #7 All Creatures Great and Cheap (40% – 526 votes)

and in the only upset of the week, and second consecutive upset in the Businesses/Factories Conference

#7 Pillow Factory (61% – 811 votes) upset #2 Springfield Laundromat (39% – 518votes)

Also of note, as The League of Extra-Horny Gentlemen was added to the game before it’s Round 1 matchup, it will be replaced by the next highest vote getter in the pre-Bracket Battle Poll – The Hate Box.

Here’s a look at the updated Bracket:

Now without further ado, our next eight matchups from Round 1 featuring the #3 seed versus the #6 seed in all eight conferences:

Reminder, voting is open until noon EDT Thursday July 13.

  1. In general I wish they would release more character’s houses.

  2. Safi, you have it as “Quality Inn” as the poll question, not “Quantity Inn”.

    • Thanks MeIAm. I don’t actually make, embed, or have access to the polls. The Addicts, and in particular Alissa, spend a lot of time creating the polls, embedding them, and sending me the results every week. But I’ll try to get it corrected.

  3. do i have the chance to earn barbarian statue homer from dig site

  4. Fourth! Lol

  5. This round I mostly agreed with Safi. If all these were in the finals, Troy McClure’s House would win.

  6. I voted for the Houseboat, Quantity Inn, Museum of Flight, CBGB’s, Krusty Fried Chicken, Eye Caramba + the Box Factory. Since the Pride update was released it looks like about 4 items from the bracket have been added to the game (Julio from character Bracket, LOEHG, One Night Stans and the Village Apartments). Maybe EA really are looking at this site for ideas of what to add.

  7. This week I agreed with you all 6 times.
The running total so far is, in reverse order:

    Safi – 16
    Wookie – 18
    Patric – 18
    Alissa – 19

I can’t believe the Jazz Hole only got 74%! In my opinion it is the best building in this challenge and needs to be in our games along with BLEEDING GUMS MURPHY!!!!!!!

    • Personally, I think the vote should be based strictly on the building and not on any characters that might be bundled with it. Otherwise, Troys house or I Can’t Believe It’s A Lawfirm would be the runaway favourites.
