Addicts Bracket Challenge: Most Desired Building, Week 4

How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there are plenty of buildings in the rich history of The Simpsons universe still not in our little game. We present to you TSTO Addicts’ Most Desired Building Bracket Battle.

Like last year, with your help, we created a Bracket of 64 beloved buildings we believe would bring a smile to your face, have great tasks, could make for an awesome event, or simply be a nice idea for a new Friends Point prize. Unlike last year though, you had a huge say in what buildings made the cut.

We pre-selected 96 buildings organized into eight thematic conferences. We had chosen four to get automatic entries into the Bracket. However, your votes in the pre-Bracket polls selected which four buildings would join them in each conference. Those 64 buildings would then battle each other in six rounds of head-to-head matchups, that we hope produces the most debate in the comments below.

With the Bracket determined, every Friday over summer, we’ll post that week’s matchups and your votes will determine which buildings advance to the next round, until we’ve crowned “The Most Desired Building” on Friday September 1st.

Here’s a recap of the results from our third set of eight Round 1 matchups:

#3 seed Troy McClure’s House (78% – 1,220 votes) defeated #6 Judge Harm’s Houseboat (22% – 336 votes)

#6 Bates Motel (62% – 947 votes) upset #3 Quantity Inn (38% – 575 votes)

#3 Springfield Police Academy (59% – 899 votes) defeated #6 Springfield Museum of Flight (41% – 625 votes)

#6 Mt. Splashmore (53% – 807 votes) barely upset #3 Springfield Union Station (47% – 710 votes)

#3 CBGB (57% – 867 votes) defeated #6 Poppa Wheelie’s (43% – 643 votes)

#3 Krusty Fried Chicken (70% – 1,042 votes) defeated #6 General Chang’s Taco Italiano (30% – 454 votes)

#3 The Happy Sailor Tattoo Parlor (54% – 814 votes) defeated #6 Eye Caramba (46% – 686 votes)

and in the biggest landslide of the week

#3 Box Factory (82% – 1,254 votes) destroyed #6 Smoke Factory (18% – 267 votes)

Here’s a look at the updated Bracket:

Now without further ado, our final eight matchups from Round 1 featuring the #4 seed versus the #5 seed in all eight conferences:

Reminder: as the next highest finisher in the pre-Bracket poll, The Hate Box replaces The League of Extra-Horny Gentlemen as the 4th seed, due to the latter being introduced into our game in this Pride mini-event.

Reminder, voting is open until noon EDT Thursday July 20.

What are your thoughts on last weeks results? Any surprises? How’s your Bracket pick’em looking? What are your thoughts on this weeks eight match-ups? Of the eight match-ups above, which was the easiest decision and which was the hardest? Which Addict did you agree with most? Which Addict doesn’t think like you at all? 1. Had to vote for mindys mansion should also add Mindy permanently into the game if player previously didn’t get her
Missed valentines event with her 😢😢😢

  2. Tried to remember what I picked in the contest, but I just can’t. Here’s hoping that my hazy memory is not tripping up my chances of winning that thing 😉

    • And: This week I agreed the same number of times with each Addict: 6. I have always been a middle-of-the-road kind of gal… Now you tell me what I voted for using that information! 🙂

  3. I know every time I see it, Kentucky Fried Panda will make me crack up…had to vote for it😄. Moe can ‘smuggle endangered species’ so they never runs out of Panda Tenders🐼…love that Szechuan dipping sauce🍵!

  4. Speedway!
    with NASCARs!
Did Jeff Gordon appear on the show? Or is it my wishful memory?

    🇫🇷🏁😁

    • Aslo, is S24 E03, Adventures in Baby-Getting, Jeff Gordon voiced himself. When Kent Brockman was interviewing Moe, Moe was listing things verbally and he mentioned Jeff Gordon and then Jeff walked by and said hello to Moe. Moe then said that he’d bet Kent Brockman that they would never see him again and then Barney said that he was going to call it a day and left.
      Jeff Gordon

  5. Is there a Bail Bonds in the Simpsons? Would look cool by the police station.

  6. Decided not to go for the speedway as I felt that the kart race place we got for the Springfield games event kinda filled that purpose nicely. It’s a shame the smoke factory didn’t win, I wouldnt mind seeing some smoke constantly being pushed out of there. Oh well. I voted for the taco place too, since despite my love for Krusty, I would love a taco place! But alas, it has fallen.

I decided not to vote for the Mindy dream house simply because of the fact that it looks way too similar to the country club, which we already have.

Voted for the Greaser Cafe, because I just love seeing all these retro buildings in my town. I shelled out for the Sha-Boom Ka-Boom cafe during secret agents and feel that with the Retro Lard Lad and Greaser Cafe, I could start a little retro block.

Voted for Moe’s Express since it would be nice to give a little more attention to the boardwalk. It would be nice as a boardwalk only decoration or building I think.

Voted for Creamatorium because of the pun. Couldn’t help myself.

  7. Lenny needs a house

  8. Why would people prefer a SECOND tattoo parlor over a FIRST eyeglasses store?? Hmmph. 😒

    • Maybe because everyone seems to get their tattoos in the brown house. Of course, everyone would probably get their eyes examined in a brown house even if we did get an eyeglass store…. (btw, I voted for Eye Caramba🤓)

      • Yeah – it’s annoying (and lazy programming) when they do things like that. But I like that they’ve made fun of that in event dialog sometimes!

  9. This week I agreed with Alissa 5 times, Patric & Wookie 7 times and Safi only 3 times (sorry again Safi). The Planetarium an Speedway were two of my easiest choices and therefore gave Patric & Wookie the lead this week.
My running total so far is:
    Safi 19
    Alissa 24
    Patric 25
    Wookie 25

  10. Seem I’m rooting for mostly underdogs this week.
