Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Looks like we’ve got a new little questline (it’s only 5 parts) to work on in Springfield! And this time we get a free (in-game cash, NOT donuts..so it technically is free…)cannon!
So what’s going on? What the heck happened to our down time? Let’s take a look…
Note: This post includes the Turbo Tappin’ version of the questline…
11:45am ET: Just updated this with some new info at the bottom, so take a second look if you haven’t seen it yet…
So this morning when you start up you’ll pocket-sized Springfield you’ll get a little dialogue auto start for you…
Bart: Dad, Lisa, come quick! I’ve found something amazing! The closest where Mom hid all the things she doesn’t want us playing with.
Lisa: My old safety blanket!
Bart: The samurai sword Grampa gave me!
Homer: My cannon from when I was a stunt performer at the Hullabalooza Festival!
Marge: No. Not the cannon. Don’t you dare place that!
Because all good things come from Samurai Swords and Cannons…
And your first task will be to place/buy the Cannon…
Cannon- $1,400 and 2×7 in size
Then you’ll get this popup…
And here’s a look at the questline you’ll have to play through in order to unlock the task…

Homer starts
Make Homer Polish the Cannon- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp
Make Lisa Suck Her Thumb and Hug Her Blanket- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp

Homer starts
Make Homer Guzzle Beers- 1hr, Earns $70, 17xp
A Gut-Bustin’ Good Time Pt. 4
Homer starts
Make Homer Eat Many Pizzas- 3hrs, Earns $135, 35xp

Homer starts
Make Homer Do Stunt Cannon Performance- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp
And from there on out you’ll have a 4hr task for Homer to do a Stunt Cannon Performance!
So now the question that I’m sure most of you are asking…what does this mean?!
Honestly, I think it’s just a fun little side quest to keep everyone tapping and give them something to do (plus bring a fun animation/decoration into the game). I do not think this is a prelude to the next event (of course I could be wrong..wouldn’t be the first time), since there’s no indication of “Stay tuned for ….” etc.
Update: I just found something in the files labeled “Stunt Cannon Teaser” so this COULD be a prelude to the next event. (Homerpalooza perhaps?!
This little update ends July 31st, and puts us on that same path of a new event hitting August 1st that we speculated about here. Honestly, I think it’s just something fun to keep you tapping, considering most people finished the Superhero questline already…this gives you a reason to login.
And that’s it my friends, the details on the latest little update to hit our pocket-size Springfields!

A couple things I’ve noticed since the last update:
Dr. Colossus’ 1hr task has returned.
Cyborg Snake tasks now earn $ at the premium level.
Polish the cannon is a euphemism

Anybody else noticed that Homer looks like a Minion in this animation? Crossover update 😂😂😂?
Few days from now i experienced few glitches and bugs in my game. When i opened my game it simultaneously showed with popup messages that all my passed events have ended. Then penny mountain started giving me past event’s useless pennies as well as tire fire started giving me past event’s participant ribbons which is again useless.In World largest Redwood, i am in part 7 but the level visual is showing that of level 1. This also can be said of the money mountain. I completed all task and got Mr burns premium skin but the money mountain visual is showing that of level1. The right side character level icon of the game is supposed to lead you to the character but it’s not working. Claw machine is still giving me bowling shoes when the event has ended long time ago. The monorail weekly prize track is not working as well. “Superheroes Return” store was giving spooky campfire for free. But that didn’t show in my store either. I completed all Friendship levels and won all the prizes but it still showing my Friendship level at 1. Yes. I logged in and out a few tImes but nothing happened. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the game but still the same. I tried login to another mobile with my account but it’s showing the same glitches in that mobile too. I contacted ea about these but no reply. I don’t know what to do. Please help
The only normal thing is the Campfire 🔥 It has been reissued.
For all other glitches you have to contact EA. Don’t email them, start a chat or ask for a callback. Especially the last was successful. The caller was a native speaker of my language. He was very supportive and patient aaannnndddd he solved my problem 😁
The only thing I’d add is, if you have an Origin account (in other words, you’re not playing anonymously), it’d try doing an uninstall and reinstall before contacting EA, since that could fix the problem and they’ll probably make you do that first anyway, if you haven’t already.
I tried reinstalling. Nothing happened. I even log into my account with another mobile. But that mobile too showing the same glitches.
Sounds like it’s time to contact EA then. Best if you can call (try to get someone in the U.S. or Ireland call centers), or, if that’s not possible, chat…those seem to have been the most successful options for people, in general.
Okay. Will do that. Lets hope they will fix it soon.
I have a same problem with the toll booth still giving me karma
I put the cannon on the boardwalk in my B game; & in with the Pagan Xmas area in my A game. Both seem to work for me!
How do I use that page where I try to advertise my details to add more friends? I keep going round in circles

Anticipating some downtime til next week, I’ve been sending my characters on 24 hour tasks. So I’ll be starting this one late tonight.

Homer choked when the canon was fired. He stepped aside. His love for Marge and the kids made hum do that.

This may not be the right place for this, and it may be addressed elsewhere, but here goes:
I got the Collider in the mystery box but his questline will not start. I have Dr. Collusus & Death Mountain as well as Radioactive Man if that matters. Anyone know what gives?
If this Canon Mini Event (the dialog’s amusing) is a distraction before a potential BIGGER Event (Homerpalooza would be awesome!) ….. then it’s a minor distraction that’s not keeping me from KEM Farming 😄
