Superheroes Mystery Box

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Look! Up in the Sky!  It’s a bird! It’s a Plane! No, it’s a box full of Superheroes stuff….

This is a premium box full of your chance to get those limited-time premium character/building/decorations with an Super flair to them.  By now we should all be familiar with how Mystery Boxes work, so let’s jump to the breakdown of what’s inside..

This Mystery Box is a great way to get items you may have missed out on from Previous Superhero Events at a low price…

And…if you already have everything in the box you won’t see the box in your store.

So for 60 donuts you can have your shot at a variety of Superhero Themed premium characters and buildings from the past,  60 Donuts is less than the initial value for each item…

Superhero Mystery Box Leaves Games July 30th…

Here’s what you can win…

Now, while I know you can’t pick and choose which items you want from the box, I included the Should I Buy posts from the past so y’all can see how much they originally cost & what specifically each building/character does.

60 Donuts is a bargain for most of these items…it is frustrating when items that were once free come back as premium..but still 60 donuts is a fair price for the characters at least.  So my thoughts are, if you have something in there you want…give it a try.  You’ll likely get something worth it.

And that’s it my friends!  The details on the Superheroes Mystery Box….

What are your thoughts on the Mystery Box? Have you tried it yet? What have you won so far? What do you hope to get? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Is Springfield Asylum good value? I bought two boxes and got it and Petroleus Rex. I guess they’re the two highest value items so it could have been far worse. Just wondering after from giving millhouse a 2 hour job if there’s any other benefits?

  2. I have Old King Coal and Charcoal Briquette from the previous event and they’re not paying premium now. I thought when characters come back and cost donuts they’re usually premium characters from then on.

I think.I did rather well. I had 6 items available of which Wholesome and Fruit Batman I didn’t particularly want. So after 5 purchases I got all I wanted. The crap one being Fruit Batman. The other 4 I got where always Premium Items. I had earned crafted or been awarded all the ex fremium items.

  4. There’s no mystery in it, you always get the first item on the left. If you don’t like it, close the mystery box and re-open it until the one you want is on the left 😉

    • Afraid not. It’s completely random.

    • I had six things in my box and all I really wanted was Plopper. I tried this multiple times and it never worked. I ended up buying everything, as once I was halfway there, I had to get him.

That movie set is huge and I’ll probably store it soon.

I love Mystery Boxes. There were six items in my box. I wanted The Fracker. First try, I got the RMMS. Not bad. Second try, the Wholesome and Sons Publishing building. Meh. Then, my third try Petroleus Rex and the Tar Pits. Pretty good.

    No Fracker.

All that’s left is The Fracker, the Asylum, and the dreaded Fruit Bat Man. I don’t like my odds…..

Ahh I should of quit after my first go. Ended up getting Dr Crab and the stupid Publisher building, should of saved for next event. Hopefully it doesn’t offer anything I want to buy otherwise it will be a really hard pass. 😞

  7. I had all of them in my vault. I have been playing on and off for 4 years so I’m upset that I didn’t play during the other 2 super hero events. I had to pay for all of them and well… My donugts and pockets were drained lol.

Now that I have this site though, I should be playing more often (and more importantly, more effectively) since you email me with every new post. If I stop playing, I can start at the start of a new event.

  8. I had six of the thirteen options (including all of the free content) so it wasn’t hard for me to see the value of draining this Mystery Box dry. So I came out with four more characters, four more buildings and another skin for Burns… and all of the new questlines associated with those. Not too bad, overall.

Now, fire that cannon, Homer, so we can get on with the next event! 🙂

  9. I had 7 things in the box, bought it all since the 4 things i wanted came last (i should never gamble with my luck :-/) I got the Collider but his quest doesn’t start, not a big problem since he’s got all but a 12h job and for that you have to do the quest that doesn’t start.

  10. I’ve only ever bought two mystery boxes. First was to get Sophie Krustofsky, of this one to get Citizen Solar and Wind Lad. Two characters for 60 is quite a good price. This time, I had almost nothing of the above content, except Radioactive Man, and I got what I wanted on the first try. Rather lucky, but then I also got Sophie on the first try…

  11. Well, as well as presidents one, I emptied it completely. Wanted Tar pits and Fracker. Of course had to get all the crap first – Wholesome, Asylum, then I got Fracker, then of course Fruit Batman (does not Burns have enough skins?) and last was Tar pits. Had the rest of the items from previous year.

I love that you do these posts AND include links to the original SIB – very convenient!

One little request, though…when a SIB includes only information about what a building does DURING an event, should it produce event income (ie. The Asylum), it would be great if the income earned AFTER the event (amount of IGC/hour) could be added to the info on the SIB.

  13. I ended up getting everything, or already having them previously. Of the lot, the only one I didn’t want was Fruit-Bat Man, while I could live with the others. The Radioactive Man Movie Set is pretty darned useful. If you do NOT complete the given quest, you can keep assigning Wolfcastle there for a premium 6-second task.

    • Mee too. Got the SH2 characters already, went for Spider Pig … got the items I didn’t want first … finally the last two items Spider Pig and the two super nerds … got them both (three), too. Maybe my wife will not notice the bill for the dionuts 😉

      • I got Spider-Pig right from the very first Superhero event. I eventually paid for Petroleus Rex in the second one, even if I do agree he was way overpriced then, but I wanted him badly. Looking back now, I guess I should’ve waited for this mystery box, but I’ve no regrets.

Sorry this is irrelevant, but I just had the option to finish Bart at the campfire as a friend action. EA will probably fix it soon. Just letting you all be aware of it if you haven’t noticed 🙂

  15. There’s one thing I kinda want out of five, so I’m not going to roll the dice.

  16. Empty. No regrets.

  17. I saved some money and bought all the items in the MB, I passed a long time and missed a lot, so time to grab everything what’s new for me.LOL

  18. Ok, I know I sound like a broken record here but I really loathe the mystery boxes. The odds just aren’t in my favour. However before I build up a head of steam, I come here, see the love and feel mildly less indignant.
I love buildings, I have too many characters and my inventory is full of stuff to the extent I’ve stopped using the junkyard to get donuts because of the build up of monorail pieces. I would pay 120 donuts plus for the Asylum. However I would be annoyed to pay 120 plus and not get the Asylum… And in this case plus would not extend to 180; I think that would be overpriced.

Gosh I love huge donut savings and bought so many mystery boxes, getting everything that I wanted. All that is left is Springfield Asylum and even at a 70% discount I can’t do it. I’m either saving donuts for the next event or splurging on Scout Master at the last moment. Hmm, any other opinions on this?

    • Indiana Puck-Rowan Underwood

That’s a tough one! I love the episode where Lisa and scary steal the diary from the mental House so I’d probably go for the box again, but it’s hard!!

  20. this was a tough one for me… I’m not much of a gambler but I really want the tar pits. got one box and got the movie set… at least it makes money. not sure if i can handle the disappointment of another miss… if i get the burns skin i might pull my hair out. as a totally freemium KEM farming addict i should probably save my donuts.. kind of went on a spending/farming spree for pride event.. which was right on time here in America’s Finest City- our parade is in July.

  21. I got The Fracker which wasn’t so bad. I tested my luck again and I got The Radioactiveman Movie Set. Originally 150 doughnuts was way over priced and a really poor quest associated with this building. I don’t feel so bad getting it at 60 doughnuts but this is nowhere near 150 doughnut worthy.

  22. I liked this Mystery Box as it had a lot of characters. I picked up The Fracker, Citizen Solar and Wind Lad, Tar Pits (w/ P-Rex), Springfield Asylum, and Fruit Bat Man. I didn’t want the Asylum but I’m not unhappy I have it. The only items left in the box were Radioactive Man Movie Set, and Wholesome & Sons Publishing and I don’t want either of them. The RMMS building is nice and all, but way too massive and I don’t want to risk getting the lame WSP building instead.

  23. I like everything but Fruit Bat Man since I have the vest for Mr. Burns. Since I’m sure that is what I would get, I’m going to pass.

  24. I had two buildings and the Fracker and Wind Lad and Citizen Solar to win. 50% chance to win a voiced character I thought were good odds. I ended up winning one of the buildings. Determined to try 1 more time with great odds of landing a voiced character I spent 60 more donuts. As was expected, I won the last building. Stupidly, I then spent the rest of my donuts on the remaining characters. I do love the characters though.

The fracker is not in the MB. It’s available as a stand alone character

  26. ThatOneWeirdTap

I have Rex and Spider Pig from Superhero 1, and the Asylum from a try at the box. If I get enough donuts in time I might have another go at it, fingers crossed for CS/WL or Charcoal Briquette this time 😁😁

  27. I have 81 donuts and Id love to buy I’m really not in the mood in using 60 donuts for a building with no character.

    • Go for “The Hollow Log” it’s 60 doughnuts with a return of 50. It has a good bonus % for the cost of 10 doughnuts. I’d wait for anything else. A new event will be here soon stock up on your sprinkles.

  28. I picked up Fruit Batman, the asylum, Wholesome & Sons, the movie set, the Fracker, and Citizen Solar and Wind Lad. Looks like I saved quite a few donuts by waiting. 🙂

  29. I wish they would have made the radioactive man statue available for those that have him but not it…..
