Addicts Bracket Challenge: Most Desired Building, Week 6

How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there are plenty of buildings in the rich history of The Simpsons universe still not in our little game. We present to you TSTO Addicts’ Most Desired Building Bracket Battle.

Like last year, with your help, we created a Bracket of 64 beloved buildings we believe would bring a smile to your face, have great tasks, could make for an awesome event, or simply be a nice idea for a new Friends Point prize. Unlike last year though, you had a huge say in what buildings made the cut.

We pre-selected 96 buildings organized into eight thematic conferences. We had chosen four to get automatic entries into the Bracket. However, your votes in the pre-Bracket polls selected which four buildings would join them in each conference. Those 64 buildings would then battle each other in six rounds of head-to-head matchups, that we hope produces the most debate in the comments below.

With the Bracket determined, every Friday over summer, we’ll post that week’s matchups and your votes will determine which buildings advance to the next round, until we’ve crowned “The Most Desired Building” on Friday September 1st.

For general housekeeping rules and guidelines, please click on the link to the first pre-Bracket poll.

Here’s a recap of the results from our first set of eight Round 2 matchups:

#5 seed Lenny’s House (61% – 905 votes) upset #1 Bouvier House (39% – 571 votes)

#1 Moe’s Apartment (62% – 919 votes) defeated #4 Ye Olde Off-Ramp Inn (38% – 555 votes)

#1 Springfield University (62% – 918 votes) defeated #4 Krusty’s Clown College (38% – 565 votes)

#1 Praiseland (61% – 893 votes) defeated #5 Springfield Speedway (39% – 581 votes)

#5 Moe’s Express (68% – 985 votes) defeated #8 P.F. Wangs (32% – 474 votes)

#1 The Slaughterhouse (51% – 740 votes) barely beat #5 Kentucky Fried Panda (49% – 712 votes)

#1 I Can’t Believe It’s a Law Firm (77% – 1,120 votes) defeated #5 The Creamatorium (23% – 331 votes)

and lastly

#5 KrustyCo SweatShop (76% – 1,097 votes) defeated #8 Quitters (24% – 344 votes)

Here’s a look at the updated Bracket:

Now without further ado, Round 2 concludes with eight Conference Semi-Final matchups:

  1. Woohoo, voted!

  2. Just did a “send all Springfielders” task and….wait for it…everybody came out still wearing their premium skins! Woo-hoo! No more changing everybody back to premium after a mass task…thanks EA😘

  3. I wanna go to Mount Splashmore, take me take me take me take me now! NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW!

  4. This might be the wrong post to put this but with only 1 day to go until the next Sunday blog I don’t think people will go back to last week’s to read and hopefully answer my question!
So my question is: I’m trying QEM farming for the fist time (Eek!) and I understand having all the heights building out increases your %, do you also have to have out all the extra bits that comes with leveling up the buildings?
    Thank you all 🙂

    • I didn’t think you need the extra bits except the beach hideaway
      🇬🇧😁

    • Just the core buildings (and you don’t even need to bother with the resort buildings, since those don’t earn a bonus, but you do need to level up the private islands to at least level 2 to get the bonus on those).

  5. Am I crazy to want the police academy so that the training walls would finally make sense? lol

  6. There’s loads of these I’d love in the game.
Box factory has to be right up there.
    But especially a zoo.

  7. ThatOneWeirdTap

I was just thinking of the Murder House this morning and I didn’t know if they added it or not, so I was going through all the old Halloween posts lol.
It might not be, but, as well as being the house Ned moved into, wasn’t this Mrs Bellamy’s house? I might have to do my research 😛
Hiiiiiiii I’m Troy McClure you might recognise me from this site 😀 😀

  8. Is murder house the same as bad dream house which we already have from years ago?

    • No, murder house is the one Marge almost sells to the Flanders during her stint as a real estate agent but she’s too honest for the job

      🇬🇧😁

  9. I can’t believe praise land beat the speedway

    🇬🇧😁

    • Me either.
      Poole Pirates or Weymouth Wildcats?

      • Poole is nearest to me (and Feliciafancy) but I’ve never been to the speedway racing ….but I have been to see greyhound racing (same place)

But now you’ve confused things…. I don’t want Poole dog track in the game …..I want a NASCAR track
        🇬🇧😁

  10. Off topic but I was doing the excavation and it said I found a barbarian statue of homer and it was going to inventory only it’s not there. Anyone else have this?

    • Yes happened to me too.. isnt barbarian statue unique tho?! Strange

    • This happened to me couple of time already. It’s because the barbarian statue is a unique item (you can’t have more than 1), so if you already have it, you don’t get anything.

    • I managed to excavate additional barbarian statues two days in a row, but couldn’t find any of them in my inventory (and I looked several times through all parts of inventory). I believe I already had one barbarian statue placed somewhere in my town, only now I can’t find that one as well…

    • Its unique, so wont let you have another. Its all over the forums.

    • It’s a unique item. Bad coding doesn’t recognize if someone already has one.

  11. I actually had to pounder over the choice of The Jazz Hole and CBGB… As someone from NY, I have to honor the history and significance of CBGB (the real venue that is modeled after, Comic Book Guy doesn’t actually have a place in NYC). Musicians such as The Talking Heads, Blondie, and The Romones all started out there… That said, I finally went The Jazz Hole on the condition that it comes with Bleeding Gums Murphy. I would also probably hang out at a place like The Jazz Hole more so than CBGB myself.

  12. A tad disappointed that Kentucky Fried Panda lost out to The Slaughterhouse.

  13. This week I agreed with Wookie and Patric 7 times, Alissa 5 times and Safi 4 times.
I made a mistake adding up last week and Patric had one more point making him equal with Alissa.
    The total so far is:
    Safi 28
    Alissa 35
    Wookie 36
    Patric 37

The easiest choice was The Jazz Hole as it is also my choice as final winner.

  14. I’m really digging this contest, I think it’s fun to do in the downtime we have. 👍👍 Thx.
