Of course with that limited-time label, it can be tempting to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Sungazer Bus & Freddy Freeman/Shredder Stevens to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Rock -n- Roll combo to your town…

Pros
-Good price for TWO Premium characters and a bonus % earning decoration
-Bus is animated when in use, lights up and chopper blades spin
Cons
-Not voiced
-Each character only has 4 tasks, they’re both missing the 4hr task (which may change when the event ends, but for now they’re missing it)
-Only 1 visual task each
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
It’s a good value for this combo. 150 donuts gets you TWO premium characters and a 1% bonus earning decoration. If you figure a 1% bonus item should be around 20 donuts, that’s 130 donuts for two characters (or 65 donuts each). That’s not a bad price. Not a steal by any means, but not a bad price. I like the combo, even if it didn’t help with the event. It’s a good value for 2 Premium Characters that will last long beyond the Homerpalooza Event in Springfield. Buy them. (of course assuming you have the donuts & you want them)
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell you I already got it. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before they leaves our games for good (or for now).

I got this in the mystery summer concert box and I only got a 0.5% bonus. Maybe they changed it.
Apologies if I missed it answered elsewhere or if it’s an obvious thing I should know: Does their questline help with the event or can I put it off until afterward so they can keep jamming?

If you work a lot with minimal access to the Game App? This Premium Combo seems like it could help earn Event Currency / Craftables👍 …. but if EA is only allowing these Premium Characters to benefit Act One? That’s just chinzy! 👎
When will we get rocking Otto?
As with any good rock show, need to sit through the opening acts before the main attraction performs.
Rocking Otto is appearing in my store despite me not owning otto. Does that mean if I purchase it, I wouldn’t be able to use him?
It is not clearly labelled in store, whether it’s only a skin.
Or is it a combo like booberella cave girl where u unlock the premium character together with the skin with that single purchase?
It’s a combo. You get Otto, his Rockin Otto skin, and the school bus. A pretty good deal for those who didn’t already have Otto.

Does the Freddy Freeman and Shredder Stevens questlines deliver event currency (cuffs)? Up to this point, I have only sent them on jam sessions.
Will this combo be able to play jam sessions/earn event currency in Acts 2 and 3?
No one (but EA) can say for sure until Act 2 hits. However, I am of the strong belief that yes, you can use the Act 1 characters for Jam Sessions in Acts 2 and 3.
Thanks, think that will seal the deal for me on going for this combo. I typically have no problem completing events as a dedicated (every 4 hour) freemium player, but I’m a day and a half behind on the calendar already…
Oh boy, no pressure. I’d kept my prediction to myself all along and shared it with just Alissa up to this point. Now I kinda regret saying it. I’m going to feel even worse if my speculation is wrong and these guys don’t help you in Acts 2 and 3. (Though of all the speculations I’ve read, I still feel I’m the most likely to be right)
I think you’re right, too…the Rock Stage is unlikely to remain empty for acts 2 and 3. I think that the Sungazers may be limited to the current stage, but will still earn currency thru the entire event. But, like you say, we’ll have to wait and see.
Do they have the headphones and $ symbols next to them when you try to have them play a jam session? Or is it just the hand symbol? Think the headphones and $ indicate which characters will be available for future acts. Thanks
I’m fairly certain you’re right because we get 2x of the Sungazers as prizes. It’d be a major break with EA’s past practices if they didn’t help with Act 2/3.
And it’d be even more unusual if premium characters sold as being helpful to the event ends up only being useful for part of it.
I’d also note EA has an auto-fill functionality in the performer-to-stage selection screen. I believe that’s in anticipation of the fact that there’ll eventually be multiple types of stages which only SOME characters can use. Auto-fill means you don’t have to scroll to match the type.

I “think” Freddy Freeman and Shredder Stevens would NOT be helpful in Acts 2 & 3
Also there is the clue of how BGM has all 3 rock, pop & hop-hop signs next to him, whereas these 2 have only rock next to them …….. I have therefore bought BGM, and not Freddy Freeman and Shredder Stevens
Im pretty much keeping up with Patric’s calendar without these 2, so Im taking a huge risk by NOT buying Freddy Freeman and Shredder Stevens ……. If they end up helping in Acts 2 & 3, I would very much regret not buying them
But if my theory is right, then I suspect EA will have lots of angry players who bought Freddy Freeman and Shredder Stevens, assuming they would help for all 3 Acts

Are they treated as Springfielders ? Can I send them to the 4 hour task in the Steel Mill ?
I take it you’re holding the Ajax/Roscoe quest line at the point where you can send all Springfielders there for 4 hours with the Employment agency by not sending Roscoe on his 12 hour task. I’m doing something similar with the Kwik-E-Mart Central Office and a 1-hour task for all Springfielders. Next time my jam sessions cycle through I’ll check whether they can go on that “all Springfielders” task and report back…
For the Kwik-E-Mart Office “all Springfielders” task I’m keeping open, these guys *don’t* have the task available to them. It’s not the same task as you’re keeping open and I don’t know if EA is likely to switch things around, but I’d consider that they possibly won’t participate in your 4-hour Steel Mill task with everyone else when making your purchase decision.

Have they completed their quests yet, or have they been used only for jamming? If they still have jobs assigned from their questline, I don’t think they will be included in “all Springfielders” tasks until they finish.
KEM farmed for this combo and Bleeding Gums Murphy. Really enjoy this event so far!
