Addicts Bracket Challenge: Most Desired Building, Week 7

How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there are plenty of buildings in the rich history of The Simpsons universe still not in our little game. We present to you TSTO Addicts’ Most Desired Building Bracket Battle.

Like last year, with your help, we created a Bracket of 64 beloved buildings we believe would bring a smile to your face, have great tasks, could make for an awesome event, or simply be a nice idea for a new Friends Point prize. Unlike last year though, you had a huge say in what buildings made the cut.

We pre-selected 96 buildings organized into eight thematic conferences. We had chosen four to get automatic entries into the Bracket. However, your votes in the pre-Bracket polls selected which four buildings would join them in each conference. Those 64 buildings would then battle each other in six rounds of head-to-head matchups, that we hope produces the most debate in the comments below.

With the Bracket determined, every Friday over summer, we’ll post that week’s matchups and your votes will determine which buildings advance to the next round, until we’ve crowned “The Most Desired Building” on Friday September 1st.

Here’s a recap of the results from our second set of eight Round 2 matchups:

#3 seed Troy McClure’s House (69% – 1,028 votes) upset #2 Murder House (31% – 469 votes)

#2 Snuggler’s Cove (53% – 784 votes) defeated #6 Bates Motel (47% – 687 votes)

#3 Springfield Police Academy (64% – 938 votes) upset #2 13 Euclid Street (36% – 533 votes)

#6 Mt. Splashmore (69% – 1,015 votes) upset #2 City Zoo (31% – 455 votes)

#2 The Jazz Hole (83% – 1,202 votes) destroyed #3 CBGB (17% – 240 votes) – However, as The Jazz Hole was introduced into our games this week, it will be replaced by CBGB in it’s next matchup

#2 The Pretzel Wagon (50% – 726 votes) barely beat #3 Krusty Fried Chicken (50% – 721 votes) by just 5 mere votes

#3 Happy Sailor Tattoo Parlor (51% – 727 votes) barely upset #2 Springfield Martial Arts Academy (49% – 707 votes) by just 20 votes

and lastly

#3 Box Factory (88% – 1,260 votes) destroyed #7 Pillow Factory (12% – 179 votes)

Here’s a look at the updated Bracket:

Now without further ado, we present the eight Round 3 Conference Final matchups:

Reminder, voting is open until noon EDT Thursday August 10.

What are your thoughts on last weeks results? Any surprises? How’s your Bracket pick’em looking? Did EA introducing The Jazz Hole brEAk your Bracket? What are your thoughts on this weeks eight Round 3 matchups? Of the eight matchups above, which was the easiest decision and which was the hardest? Which Addict did you agree with most? Which Addict doesn’t think like you at all? Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you.

  1. *sigh*

I voted for Mt. Splashmore as it’s one of those insanely iconic locations from the series for me, but I almost guarantee Praiseland is going to beat it… Don’t get me wrong, I like Praiseland too, but it just felt more interesting IMO to have a waterpark in our towns than a (let’s face it) pretty bland rides. King David’s Wild Ride did cause me to laugh when I first saw it, it just wouldn’t translate well into the game’s animation I feel.

    • Mt. Splashmore…it’s a waterpark…in a town full of kids…what more do you need to say? They’re never going to do anything with Krustyland, so I guess this is the closest we’re gonna get to a “destination park”. I can see it near Squidport…or even attached somehow. Sure hope it survives…lots of fun design ideas 💡 😁.

  2. This week I agreed with Alissa and Wookie 3 times, Safi 5 times and Patric 7 times.
    The total so far is:
    Safi 33
    Alissa 38
    Wookie 39
    Patric 43

My original choice of favourite building (The Jazz Hole) is now disqualified from the competition and I am now voting for the building that I think looks the nicest.
As a totally freemium player I did not even have to think about spending my bonuts on the Jazz Hole – Thank you EA!!

  3. I love these polls!

However, I should probably keep in mind that people apparently want the more boring options (obviously my opinion) rather than the more interesting ones in the next Pick’ em contest (REALLY?? The regular old unfunny Bouvier House over the BIRTHPLACE OF MATT FREAKIN’ GROENING WITH A JOKE?? Sorry I’m still shocked about that from round one) :/

  4. Pretzel-Wagon and Marge’s car with the Pretzel-Wagon skin

    🇬🇧😁

  5. What the heck is with people and that tattoo parlor??? It was bad enough when it beat Eye Carumba, given that we already had a tattoo parlor in our game and didn’t have an eyeglass store, but now it beat dieting that could be really fun to have, like a martial arts studio could? You people are nuts!! 😛

    • “dieting ” = “something”

    • LOL! The shockers continue.

    • ^THIS totally! That is why I never do well on these bracket things, I just can’t figure out people’s picks. =-O

    • My theory is that people have fond memories of the episode it was in, so it’s not always a vote based on the game potential.

    • It’s because it is from the very first episode.

      • Thank you! That helps me understand this a little bit better.

Perhaps, for the next contest, I should just vote based on how early or late it appeared in the series. It would be interesting to see an analysis of the battle results based on that one criteria.

    • Amen. I don’t get the overwhelming desire everybody has for the jazz hole. Yes Bleeding Gums Murphy was a good character but the building looks just like every other bar in our town. How Troy McClures house is not the most desired building just boggles my mind. I mean come on it’s not just modern it’s ultra modern. And is has a rock for jubjub.

  6. Lenny’s house or Box factory please.
I don’t want Praiseland anywhere near my game…..
