Guitar Central – a 2 Hour Task for Otto (50 Donuts / Bonuts isn’t bad for a Building that generates $ and XP) 👍

The beer truck is so cool visually, but that price and no bonus % makes me sad!
Grabbed the party bus immediately. Been wanting to flesh out my brewery for a while and this was perfect. I wanted the tanker truck too but then saw there was no bonus %.
I kinda want the guitar central building and the party bus, but I am seeing if I can save up for BGM in time.
Woodstock Casino makes an horrendous noise when tapped; best avoided for that reason alone!
There is a solution for that noise problem, turn down the volume of your padular device or use a headphone 😛
Just to add my 2 cents worth on Woodstock Casino, it’s massive and has sat in my storage more or less ever since unlocking it. However, I will likely pull it back out at some point in this event as it suits the items we’re getting quite well.
The signs of things to come…. I don’t think returning items are going to have bonus % added much anymore unless they are re-released as a ‘new’ item
I’m not sure what to do about rock star Otto. My brain says, hard pass… but I’m an addict. I need confirmation.
I got him. Nothing special really, unless you don’t have Otto or you have like over 1000 donuts my opinion is to pass. 🎸
Yeah, I predict that Rock Star Otto will be a go only IF you don’t already have Otto. A character, a skin and a sign seems like a good deal. If it’s just the skin and the sign then they will likely call it a pass.
You need Otto to use the skin!
There are two Rockin’ Otto Bundles. Those with Otto are offered just the Rock Sign and Otto’s Skin. For those that do not already have Otto in their town they are offered the Schoolbus with Otto, the Rock Sign, and Rockin’ Otto’s skin. So if you don’t have him already your bundle offer will be the one that includes him as part of the package. Whichever bundle you are offered, at least according to tapped out section on the simpsonswiki anyway, cost 120 donuts.
I’m very disappointed with the pricing of this skin. I already have Otto and was looking forward to having him jamming with the others, but this is too expensive for a character that I have already which already is a premium character. The skin shouldn’t had been more than 60 donuts, and even that is a lot for an already premium character.
I already had Otto so I bought the skin. The price for just the skin and sign suck big time! But…I just had to have it. I think if it weren’t for the fact that I had plenty of donuts I probably wouldn’t have bought it. What I would say is if you don’t have Otto then you gotta get him. However if you already have him then only pick up the skin if you have a very good donut cushion.
Once again, they want us to pay the cost of the character for a skin. It’s something they need to stop doing. I will never, ever spring for one of these “bundles” that basically doubles the cost of a character I already bought.
I’ve reluctantly held off on picking up Otto for the three months I’ve been playing and am happy I forced myself to wait. I picked up the bundle immediately. That said, as much as I love the music theme, I think I’d have to pass if I was only getting the skin and sign for 120. Issues like this are why my strategy has become only getting the “always available” premium characters via rebates/bundles

Indeed it is. I’ve been playing long enough to have almost every regular character, though, and certainly all the ones I want. Otto was my second premium purchase, so I’ve had him for three or four years.
I bought it and was very disappointed it came only with the skin and the sign. I wish I would have investigated it. I would pass if I knew that. Describing it as a bundle is overstating it.

I’m KEM farming and always looking for decent items to boost my %. I’m only in the mid 200s boost wise, and almost level 600. I grabbed the Duff Party Bus immediately.

I have experimented that with a new Springfield.
I got 11 Lard Lad Donuts, but only 68% bonus boost 😭
How many total donuts did you spend? Did you keep track of what your received each time? For example, if you start with 30 donuts, and get 3 vans and 6 other items and 30 donuts (ending with 0), do you count that as 6% for 30 donuts or 60 donuts?
I don’t go for the 6 donut mystery boxes even though they’re the best value in the game simply because I have way too many vans, Lard Lads and billboards, and don’t want more just for the sake of the % bonus.
My thoughts exactly! I stick to collecting tens of million game cash and then buy/sell BMs or RTDTs with a running XP Collider. This gives me up to 1,000 donuts every time.
You can hide billboards and vans behind buildings. Once I achieved the % I wanted, I stopped by MBs. But for those who want to increase their %, MBs is the cheapest way to go.
I am quite happy with my 1,063 percent bonus 😎

The MB cycle (provided you have got the unique items/characters) ist 180 boxes.
Including the bonus donuts you’ll spend 540 donuts (makes 3 donuts netto for a MB!).
The bonus raise will be 69%, you’ll get 14 Lard Lads and 23 news van and 23 I&S billboards.
This makes 7,8 donuts per 1% bonus.
My mileage varies 😭
