Put another dime in a jukebox and grab your dancing shoes, because Homerpalooza has arrived in Springfield! Yes, the biggest music fest to hit our pocket-sized Springfields since the Singing Stones is live and rocking on our devices! The latest event in TSTO has us feeling the beat as we experience different genres of music…with a little Weird Al thrown in the mix!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the first Act, Rock, you’re tasked with collecting Cuffs (
) to unlock each prize!
The third Rock Prize awarded at 18,800 is the Rock Camp Thread Shed, because nothing says rock like digging through Lenny Kravitz’s things…
So let’s take a closer look at this third prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 18,800 you’ll automatically be awarded the shed and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place the shed in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.
It does come with a little questline when placed…
Hidden Threads
Wiggum: The Thread Shed! That would be perfect for buying undercover costumes. I have reason to suspect that there may, just may be, drugs in rock and roll.
Lou: Fine I’ll dress up as Prince, you can dress as Meatloaf.
Wiggum: Did you say meatloaf? The drugs can wait, I’m hungry.
Make Wiggum Shop for Undercover Outfits- 6hrs, Earns $225, 55xp
Make Lou Regret Talking- 6hrs, Earns $225, 55xp
That’s it. Just place and move on…

How to I make Lou regret talking in Hidden Threads? I only have Wiggums and can’t see a way of getting Lou. There’s no quest when you tap the shed and Wiggums doesn’t have an option to Make Lou Regret talking. I’ve had him shop for undercover cloths and I’ve made the chief do a stake out… thinking that makes him were undercover clothes.
Any suggestions?
What are the little icons on performers meaning? One green one blue one pink. ..money sign. Rock hand sign…microphone?

Hadn’t noticed that it was a non-earning building though….it may end up in storage, but I’m waiting to see what we get in acts two and three before I decide what to keep out and what to store. I also have some buildings, including Sungazer studio, that are out, but just in a random temporary place where I had space for it. I think it would be nice to put that on the beach in Springfield Heights, but I’d have to open more ocean up and redesign my beach hideaway pieces to accomplish that. Don’t have time right now to mess with all if that, so I guess I’ll just settle for the mess I have right now. 😉
I had a good idea with this shed, possibly a small backstage area but I have an area which is going to be dedicated to the Sungazers as today I just placed their studio and I bought Shredder Stevens and the other one (forgot his name), But I finished the event 3 days early so Im happy

The Task with Chief Wiggum and Officer Lou was funny …. but this goes right into storage (like an NPC) until EA decides to make it earn $ XP or % Bonus ! 🤔

The currency usually changes, but the lawyers? Who knows. 🤷♀️
I’m taking a break for a few days, so they’ll pile up anyway. I’m also saving up my daily challenges until I am 3 ahead…I know they’ll convert to the new currency after Act 2 starts.👍

FWIW, the new in-store update fixed the road dilemma on the new strip of land.
If the writers had been awake that day, they would have called it “The Grateful Thread” shed. (and she drops the mike and walks away…)😎
Well, the writers might have missed an opportunity, but I don’t think the translators are awake at any time – I still can’t get over the fact that the “Cuffs” we are collecting are “Handschellen” in the german version. Meaning handcuffs, the ones police use on obstreperous perps. *facepalm*
In Spanish is correct (brazaletes), but there are some gems around. For example, the 4 hour task for future Bart is “play to change”, but they have used the word that means play as in playground or play sports or poker. Which makes absolute no sense when you see him playing an instrument. As with Handschellen, the literal translation may be right, but it seems they translate completely out of context.
Now that I think if it, “brazalete” goes higher in the arm (brazo). May be the correct word is “muñequera” from muñeca, wrist. Not 100% sure since I don’t use such fashion complements 🙂
Interesting! Plus it should be “Play FOR change,” which means something quite different than “Play TO change.” Did they use the correct Spanish word for “change” as in loose coins, or did they also mistranslate that as “change” as in become something different?
Sorry, don’t know the original sentence in English, I was (mis)translating myself 🙂 The word used is “para” which can either be “to” or “for” depending on the context.
And change is translated as becoming something different. Oh my, thanks tou you I finally get the original sense, he’s playing for some small coins from the pedestrians. As worded now gives the impression that he’s playing to change (himself).
So where it says “jugar para cambiar” should say “tocar por calderilla”, completely different meaning even if the translation word by word is correct.
That’s what I was afraid of in terms of the translation…you’re right in your new understanding of what was meant. I don’t think Mooch Bart is emotionally “deep” enough to allow music to change him, lol!
Thanks again for the enlightenment 🙂 I’d say the translation is generally quite decent in dialogs, but if they’re given 3 words with multiple meanings and no context at all, chances for faliure are high. I wonder how many other “gems” are hidden in the game…
I have been starting to wonder how they do the translations. If they really just get a list of words and phrases, without any context, you can’t really blame them. And especially with a limited time event, they can’t even test-play the game to help them with the translations.
Takes the game to a whole new level😂.
We are having the same problem with the translation to Brazilian Portuguese, it says “algema”, this annoys me a lot. D:
