Homerpalooza Prize Guide: Act 1 (Rock), Prize 4 Nick Delacourt

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Put another dime in a jukebox and grab your dancing shoes, because Homerpalooza has arrived in Springfield!  Yes, the biggest music fest to hit our pocket-sized Springfields since the Singing Stones is live and rocking on our devices!  The latest event in TSTO has us feeling the beat as we experience different genres of music…with a little Weird Al thrown in the mix!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the first Act, Rock, you’re tasked with collecting Cuffs () to unlock each prize!

The fourth Rock Prize awarded at 27,500 is Nick Delacourt, because what’s Rock music without a drummer?

So let’s take a closer look at this fourth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 27,500 you’ll automatically be awarded Nick and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place him in your Springfield or store in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store him you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.

Once placed in Springfield you’ll see his character unlock message popup:

And he’s part of the Homerpalooza Rock 2017 Character Collection…

Nick does come with a questline, and here’s a look at the Turbo Tappin’ version of that questline..

**You can hold off on doing his questline until the event is over…no rush***

  1. How do I make Nick spin his drumsticks???

  2. Nick Delacourt

Can you drum as good as Dr. Hibbert?
    (shhh, I’m not telling!) 😅

  3. Finished act 1 already, which surprised me as I lost some tapping time due to being sick with flu this week (along with hubby and toddler).

  4. What? Three Brown House tasks??? Geez, that’s rather crummy – I don’t think I’ve ever seen this before with any other character. And he doesn’t have a 4 hr task at all. RS

    • I thought that……. His playing the drums animation will never be seen after the event?

Or maybe after the event, the whole group will have a new 4hr task to jam on the stage (like the terwilligers on the opera stage)

      🇬🇧😁

    I’m enjoying this character

  6. I recently watched this episode for the first time, not a bad episode but not great either. Certainly not a classic.
I like how you can win donuts before getting the final prize, but if I don’t get the stargazer studio, I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. I hope act 2 is better.

I like the skylights though, they look great in my casino area.

  7. Wish some of his tasks were at King Toots or other music related locations. Three Brown house tasks are not exactly the most inspired.

I imagine his future 4 hour task will be to rock out onstage.

  8. So this morning the game installed an update, which fixed the ‘new land’ issue, and now it sends me right to my neighbor’s stage (instead of whatever random place), which is all good, but also I got the “Part 1 Completed!” message and the “Collect Cuffs” (0/5000) task, even though I still need 4,000 cuffs to unlock Sungazer Studio. So it seems to ‘think’ I completed al tasks… Hopefully that won’t be an issue when I reach 48,300 cuffs…

    • As mentioned in numerous posts and comments over the last 6 days, the bonuts actually unlock once you complete the send Nick to Jam on a Rock Stage quest. It doesn’t have anything to do with the update. The rest however, is related to the updated.

  9. I started a day late and I was so afraid of not getting everything. Now I’m ahead of the calendar. I have almost 42,000 wristbands and I’ll have the final prize later today or tomorrow. Picking up Bleeding Gums Murphy helped a lot. It’s much easier than I anticipated!

  10. Once I completed Buck’s tasks I was able to start collecting bonuts, before Sungazer Studio.

  11. Need some pro advice. After I unlock everything, should I keep dropping lawyers, or save them for the next act?

    • Depends on how much trouble you expect to have finishing act two and much you care about helping your neighbors. I finished this act with several days to spare and I have the ability to painlessly buy whatever new premium characters might help with act two, so I’m opting to use my lawyers now to help those neighbors of mine who haven’t finished the act, but look like they could be within striking distance with a little extra help.

However, that doesn’t mean that everyone should do that…if you barely squeaked by with act one, or if you know hook be away from the game more than usual during act two, then it would make total sense to hoard your lawyers for act two.

  12. I actually swear I will spend my last 108 donuts to get stargazer studio if i dont have enough, i dont care about pop so its just rock and hip hop I wanna complete

    • Don’t spend donuts till the last minute………..
The price for buying it continues to reduce as your cuff count goes up

      🇬🇧😁

  13. Download the update in Apps and the roads and other things have been fixed. Now, when you go to a friends town, you go to the main
    stage. It is great!

    • The update was out for iOS and Android before it was available for Kindle, but it did finally get released for Kindle a few hours ago, so I’ve now updated all three of my devices.

Oh, and the update also brought back the Money Mountain questline (unfortunately, bumping it back up to the top of my task book, with the annoying pointing finger), and, I assume the redwood questline, too (but I finished that one, so I can’t say for absolute sure).

      • MydadlookslikeFlanders

Wow. Thanks a million sandrashill for the info! I lost my Redwood and Burns questlines last week and had been very confused and on the verge of contacting EA for help. I just updated and the problems are fixed 🙂

  14. it would probably be prudent if I complete his and his band mates tasks BEFORE the first act expires, right?

    • I don’t think it matters, usually I complete character quests after the event has passed as you only get money for completing it.

      • oh, so I can save ALL tasks until the end? did not know that.

        • I think that if the character quest task generates *event* currency, then you should do it now; if the task only generates *regular* currency, then it can be deferred until after the event is over.
