Just a reminder that the Rock Act (Act 1) of the Homerpalooza Ends TOMORROW August 15th at 0800 GMT (4am ET).
Once the Act 1 is over you will no longer be able to earn Rock Prizes for free. So get everything you can before it’s all gone! (but remember to keep earning cuffs if you haven’t unlocked all of the prizes because the closer you get to unlocking the next prize the lower the donut cost would be should you need to purchase it when the next Act starts…)
Crafting will STILL be available in the next Act As will the Tickets you’ve accumulated.

What are the best groups to yield the most on the stages?
Here’s one option you can do if you have premium characters:
Rock Stage (Rock only): Peter, Freddy, Shredder, Nick
Simpsons House (Rock only): Dr Hibbert, Apu
Pop Stage (Pop only): Bart, Milhouse, Ralph, Nelson
Springfield Elementary (Pop only): Leon K, Rockstar Maggie
Moe’s and KEM (both Rock): Lisa, Bleeding Gums, Weird Al, Rev Lovejoy, Homer, or Rockin’ Otto
Moe’s and KEM (one Rock & one Pop): Weird Al, Rev Lovejoy, Homer, or Rockin’ Otto on Rock and Lisa or Bleeding Gums on Pop
Moe’s and KEM (both Pop): Lisa, Bleeding Gums, and eventually Alaska Nebraska, baby Maggie and Pop Weird Al
If you only have freemium players, you will have empty venues. Here’s what I would do:

I too am underwhelmed by returning items in the crafting prize track. I already have stored more spotlights than I’d ever need or use – white, coloured or cycling from a previous event – So haven’t crafted them @ all. I need to buy more rubbish to store in order to level up & keep crafting – but haven’t crafted for days! Can’t be bothered! Is anyone else unimpressed by the smoke machines that only work when you tap on them? So lame! I crafted to get there, but the things are so disappointing!

I started playing a few days before the Secret Agents event and this is the first one where I unlocked the last prize from Act 1 (so sad I missed Cave Moe), three days before the ending, so I think everything is great to me so far. I have no premium characters to the jam sessions, I wish I could buy the Otto skin, but 120 donuts is offensive (I bought him in the bundle with Greenhouse and I think it was a great deal, so I’m happy for the new players who had the opportunity to buy him now). Not sure what to expect for Act 2 and 3.
I just got the Sungazer Studio and its still being built so I have not got any design ideas yet for it (I think it was Ebron’s that I seen on a post), I think that it would look good by the beach with some Springfield Heights decorations with it. The crafting for this event is much easier than previous events, however, it would of been nice of EA to add a craftable building to the mix. I have not seen any comments on this post of players saying that they are not going to get the last prize. Question, is there going to be a poll like in the Time Travel Toaster Event about who got the final prize in this act?
I like the stage, but no visual at Moe’s, house or kem. 😵
Was that update that just dropped just for act 2?
They released a patch recently to fix the land issue

You have to unlock Nick and do the one quest line he has to rock out on the Rock Stage (it has to be that stage and not one of the other venues) After doing that, I got the collect cuffs for donuts.

I have a question which I’m not sure if you can answer. So If I keep my daily challenges with the Cuffs will they transfer over tomorrow? Because I have 2 daily challenges which I could turn into next events currency very quickly.

So if I complete the daily quests but don’t ‘collect’ in the upper right, will that roll the new currency over? Or should I not do the daily tasks with rewards until tomorrow?
Theoretically… it should work that way. I’m counting on the same thing. But, with EA, there is no real way to know for sure.
I did the same in the last event…finished my daily tasks, but didn’t collect them…the first day of the new act, they all converted to the new currency. No promises, of course, but as Safi would say “I’m 99.99% sure”…😉

The craftables are the only things I like in this event. Don’t know why, it’s just not appealing to me
I’m enjoying it more than the time traveling event but I’m not exactly looking forward to 4 more weeks of the same.
Just think…If it were the time traveling event, we could skip the last two weeks! 😁

Any idea if the lawyers will still be around for Act 2? I didn’t have time to drop any in friends’ towns over the weekend and wondering if I should do it today to try for more bonuts or save them for Act 2.

So, I’m hoping the currency that allows you to drop lawyers in friends’ towns will roll over. I’m saving them for the next act.
I liked the early bonut opportunity on this one. Partially because the task made it easier to find those difficult to find Concert Fans. (such a nightmare in “friends” towns, that I pretty much gave up). I had every stage filled and got all the premium characters, so finished this one with ease (4 hour tapping).
Was that a glitch? I expected the bonut task to start after I had collected all the Act 1 items, but instead it started after the tasks were done. Not complaining as I got lots of bonuts from it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s “fixed” in Act 2.
Not sure if it was a glitch, but was happy it happened because it gave me the bump I needed to pick up Otto 😉 [of course, now I’m down to almost zero donuts for the next two acts, and I want to start saving up for Halloween!]
So, I know these last few events crafting seemed to be slow, but, for this event, I’ve unlocked everything in the merchandise except for the final two items and we’re still in Act 1. I hope they put more stuff in there for Act 2 and Act 3…or else I’m gonna be accumulating meaningless tickets for quite awhile.
Yeah, the crafting stuff is pretty unimpressive this time…was hoping for a few surprises, but I don’t think anything else is coming. Got some extra Duff and Buzz tents for my Stadium area, so I guess the “crowds” will have to be my only continuing purchases. I’m predicting a surplus of tickets in most peoples games…as our fearless leader would say…”sad”.
I think they will add a prize from Act 2 and 3 to the crafting list like they did with the pig balloon, but other than that, not much else. I agree the crafting has been very underwhelming this event. The spotlights are just rehashes from the Casino event and many of the craftable items aren’t much use outside this event.
Isn’t the pig balloon just part of the crafting list, I don’t remember it being added special, but I could be wrong.
The pig balloon didn’t appear in crafting until we unlocked it in the prize quest. It was the same situation as the time travel event where we got some as a prize and only then could we craft more.
For the first time, I haven’t even bothered crafting anything since the first few days. I guess I’ll do it before the event ends, but, bleh….
I am saving a couple of daily challenges and most of my lawyers for the next act, that might give me a bit of a head start. Rumour is, the goals are much higher in act 2. I guess we’ll see about that.
The goals will definitely be higher as your performers are now more experienced and can thus earn at a faster rate.

I’m hoping that they will release new craftable items, just got the cup today.
Not a big fan of this event. I was waiting for a music event, but this is lame. Otto for 120 donuts is insane since I already have him. If they wanted to make real money in this event they should of had The Rolling Stones & Green Day available to buy.
It’s highly likely that neither of those bands would grant permission for EA to do that. I was pleasantly surprised we even got Weird Al.
Good event so far, lots of great prizes. Event mystery box was underwhelming tho. Looking forward to adding more characters to my town. Bring on act II. 🙂

Was able to earn everything for the act, a few days early to boot. Picked up BGM, and the 2 character combo, so got a nice boost from them. I’d estimate I’ve earned over 10% of their worth back in bonuts (nearly 40 for sure, from all sources) during these two weeks, so I’d consider it a bargain. 😉
Can’t wait for the next act, have been enjoying the event so far! 🙂
