“POP” Goes Act 2! Homepalooza Act 2 is Live!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

“Sick and tired of hearing all these people talk about
What’s the deal with this pop life and when is it gonna fade out”

And now that I’ve thrown up a little bit in my mouth quoting N’Suck N’SYNC (BSB for life! haha) Gooooood mooooorning Tappers!  Welcome to the wee early morning hours, who’s ready to get their pop on?  Brush up on those Boy Band dance moves, because it’s time for Homerpalooza to go Pop, as Act 2 is flooded into our Springfields this morning…

Remember…this is an automatic change in your game.  Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..

Lisa will start this for you with dialogue.  This will be followed by needing to keep your Rock characters Jamming, because you’re going to need that prize track currency.

Act 2 “Pop” Runs until August 29th

Just what does Act 2 have in store for us?  Let’s take a look…

New Prize Currency for Act 2

Sunglasses

So the ability to earn Cuffs is now gone.  Your counter prize track for Act 2 has reset to zero because you have zero Sunglasses.  So forget about those Cuffs…time to wear your sunglasses at night, and collect those glasses!

You’ll earn Sunglasses very similar to how you earned Cuffs during Act 1….

-Clearing the fan tappables (they now earn 20 /tap)
– Clearing fans in your Neighbor’s towns (now earns 10/tap)
-Dropping Lawyers in Neighbor’s towns, or clearing Lawyers they dropped in your town
-Jam Sessions
-Weird Al Prize track
-Daily Challenges

You’ll also earn Sunglasses from the questline…don’t ignore the questline.  You earn a ton of Event currency from it, it’s important for your prize track total..

New Details About Fans (Tappables) in Act 2

For Act 2 Fans now drop MORE currency then they did in Act 1.  Each Fan you clear in YOUR OWN town will drop 20  , with a chance for 4 and a lawyer to drop.

Fans you tap in YOUR NEIGHBOR’S TOWN will drop 10 , with a chance for  4 and a lawyer to drop.

This is an increase from Act 1. (and this is projected to increase again in Act 3, so don’t get discouraged by the prize totals)

Weird Al

Weird Al Prize track is still there, this time you can earn Extra Sunglasses and Crafting Currency.  The final prize unlocks the ability for Weird Al to play on the pop stage.

Act 2 Personal Prizes

Pop Stage 10,500

Land Token/New Venue for Jams- 24, 200

Stage Turret- 41,100

Pop Star Plan- 60,100

400 Tickets- 79, 100

Alaska Nebraska- 105,500

Again, don’t be discouraged by the total  required for each prize.  You’ll be earning MORE  for doing the same things you did in Act 1.  So just plug along, you’ll get there.

Act 1 Prizes…

If you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT  1” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright buy each one left at the point you left off at. (Just like every other event recently.)

Crafting

Crafting remains, as it was during Act 1, for Act 2.

Ticket Crafting Currency is earned via the prize track, Weird Al Prizes, Tappables, Lawyers & Flaming Moe’s (if you purchased it)

Bonuts

You’ll once again be able to earn Bonuts (Bonus Donuts) during the questline, instead of when you finish the prize track.  Similar to how it worked in Act 1.  Should unlock once you’ve finished the Act 2 questline.

Now you’ll need to earn 10,000  to earn the Bonuts.

New Items in the Store..

New Bedlam Rest Home & Leon Kompowsky- 150 Donuts

And before you ask…

  1. I preferred the prizes from Act 1 More from looks. Hopefully they are better. I hope that you can can craft the ‘Stage Turret’ after its unlocked, could make for a cool Military Base.

  2. In the last act I got the premium characters sungazer bus with freddy freeman and shredder stevens, as I thought they would be characters I could send on jam sessions, but I can no longer do that in this act.

    • Yes. It was discussed…it isn’t cool. For sure.

    • I have them on the rock stage right now…do they de-activate after you get the pop stage?

    • I have them on my rock stage. I put them on the rock stage when the new act went live (yes I stayed up til 1 am) and put them on the rock stage once again before I went to work (6:30 am) So I’ve used them twice since the second act went live.

    • I am able to use them still on the Rock stage

    • If you tried to send them to KEM or Moe’s, those venues now go back and forth from rock to pop…you will still be able to use all your rockers on the rock stage, at the simpson’ s house and alternately at KEM and Moe’s.

  3. Odd, I was able to use Bart and Millhouse this morning in one of the venues and after the first collection they don’t show up as available anymore.

    • Once you get the Pop stage…

    • Some characters are only able to jam in certain locations. Millhouse > KEM, Sungazer > Rock Stage etc. Nelson > Moes (?)

      • I thought that too, because thats what appeared during my first round of jamming, but after that I was only able to send rock characters to jam anywhere. So Im just waiting what will happen for my third round. Maybe the first one was a glitch… I havent reached the pop stage yet, so that my change things around too.

        • So I am back with news, for my third round the KEM was only able to have a pop session, the rest was on rock. Still haven’t reached Pop Stage.

And to clarify, my first round of Act 2 had two venues pop (KEM and Moe’s) and two rock.

Seems like they will randomly assign Pop or Rock to some venues.

          • Moe’s and KEM are multi-purpose venues for all three Acts, while each Act has two unique venues. More to be revealed in the Jam Sessions post.

But for now, Rock Stage and Simpsons House are Rock only, Pop Stage and (wait for the post, how’s that for building anticipation 🙂 ) are Pop only, and Moe’s and KEM are both Rock and Pop.

            • Nope. In my most recent round, it went back to all four venues being rock-only. Don’t know if it’s just random for the venues that aren’t the stages or what….just know that this round, unlike the previous one, I could only use the act one characters.

              • But that’s exactly what I’m saying. Moe’s and KEM are multi-purpose venues for all three Acts. Every time you go to jam, the KEM might be Rock or might be Pop. Likewise, Moe might be Rock or might be Pop. When you went, both KEM and Moe’s were Rock.

Yes, it’s random. You could have one of four possibilities:
                1) KEM = Rock, Moe = Rock
                2) KEM = Rock, Moe = Pop
                3) KEM = Pop, Moe = Rock
                4) KEM = Pop, Moe = Pop

      • I’m not able to add Bart, Nelson, Ralph, or Millhouse to any stage! What the heck?!?!

  4. Just wondering, will the Pop Stage be a skin, sort of like past events, or a totally distinct stage?

    • A seperate stage/venue…you will be able to send performers there also, as long as they are “pop” performers and have a pink icon.

  5. These prizes stink. I didn’t care about the Covercraft episode, but at least the first act had some decent prizes. Where’s L.T. Smash?

This whole event is accelerating my lack of interest in the game. Managed to finish Act One despite irregular play by pushing the last two days, not even going to try on Act 2.

    • ThatOneWeirdTap

L.T. Smash is probably premium since he isn’t on the prize track, he’ll probably come in the next few days like the Robot Lamp NPC did in Act 1. We haven’t seen Gil yet so it could be his deal, I’m not too sure.

  6. I am disappointed by the “smoke machine” crafting item. No one off option, just a single “puff” per tap. Quite underwhelming. “Laser lights” and “spot lights” can turn on and keep running, why not the “smoke machine”? doesn’t need to fill a big area with smoke(that would be cool), but it should keep “puffing” out smoke with an on/off option.

  7. Yvan Eht Nioj!

  8. well i’d like to do the blogiversary poll for you, however i tap on my age and it closes and scrolls to the bottom of the site every time, so not able to help you

  9. Probably been asked (and answered!) several times but how or when can we unlock the extra performer slots at the stage, Moe’s, Simpsons Hose and Kwik-e-Mart?

  10. i’m a little confused. (nothing new)
which questline were you referring to at the top of your post?
i’ve been holding off on the characters questlines to send them to jam.

    • I believe Alissa is referring to the “event” questline, which is represented by a speaker icon. Each character questline is represented by an icon of the particular character’s head; you can pretty much ignore those.

    • Me to, but not after reading this haha, thanks tappers, great to have a place to go to keep me right lol, thanks guys

  11. Only 1 additional venue available in Homerpalooza Stage 2?
I already have more performers than I can keep gigging – so why would I use donuts to get another character??
Or am I seeing this all wrong?

  12. This time I startet well prepared with 1 daily task in petto, enough donuts for Kompowsky *hehe*, lawyers and fans saved for act II … hope I get the pop stage tonight 😀 Vault is *meh* this time except for the old horse (2%/30D, bought twice) so no wasting my sprinkles.

  13. Crafting is max, no bonut quest, and nothing to click to gather the fans. This is no fun. Am i now to search the whole town for lawyers -and- fans? Is there no way to speed it up anymore?

  14. I totally skipped act1 due to lack of a stabil internet connection.
I wonder how I’ll be penalized in ACT2 and if I’ll struggle (normally I don’t struggle with events)

  15. Did not hesitate to get Leon! I know he’s not voiced but every time I tap him I hear in my head, “Lisa it’s your birthday! Happy birthday, Lisa!” Makes me smile 😉

  16. Pop star plane.
Won’t someone please make this stop.

  17. Second act prizes are pretty underwhelming, the best one costs 140 donuts… I hope act 3 is better cause this isn’t really fun.

  18. It’s not a real party unless the police show up . 🚔

    👽

    • Thanks. I am now going to put a bunch of Police cars over by my overcrowded festival before it gets any worse. 🙂

      • Ooo…great idea…I have a bunch of those puppies just hangin out near donut shops (actually, I have a bunch of those, too😄).

  19. Seriously, EA? You finally give me Leon and THERE’S NO TASK ON HIS LIST TO MOONWALK???
    $#!& @!€+ *£#@$!!!!

  20. Disappointed this time. None of the prize track seems worth the effort. Premiums are stupid expensive now and not worth it.

  21. There’s a whole bunch of characters that can now play pop jam sessions – Ralph, Millhouse, Bart, and Nelson. They all started with 2 stars which is nice as it’s similar to my rock characters levels.
My rock only characters can only play at the Simpson’s house and the rock stage now.
Glad there are more jammers available now, especially as we’re getting a new stage as the first prize on the track.
I’ve been enjoying this event and for the first time in a long time I managed to get all the first act prizes without spending donuts, even though I started a day or two late.
Also I KEM farmed all my money away to get Otto with 5 hours to spare! 😀 I’ve wanted him for such a long time. I would really like Leon, but I doubt I’ll be able to farm enough donuts in time for him as I’m starting at zero.
Looking forward to the rest of the posts for this act 🙂 thank you to all of you for the hard work you put in.

    • I was able to send those 4 characters to jam when Act 2 started but now they don’t seem able to go anymore… Maybe they will be used again when I earn the Pop Stage…

  22. Aww yea, bought MJ the second act 2 started.

“Lisa it’s your birthday, happy birthday Lisa…”

Iconic episode about love between siblings, incredibly moving. :’)

  23. Still seems like this act will be much harder to get it all. I finished with about 2.5 days to spare but the main help was the daily challenge (which didn’t give a bigger reward this morning).
My math may be way off but you need 2.2 x the amount of currency as opposed to act 1, but only 2 of the ways to earn have increased, and even then it’s only by a solid 2 x.
Honestly don’t think I can grind harder than I already have aha

    • I didnt do any maths, but just my thoughts – fans award more and there is one more stage and many of jammers are leveled up (probably not fully, but its still something), I dont know what amount lawyers awards, but i think that if you had days to spare in act 1, you will also finish act 2 🙂

    • Perhaps we will earn currency playing at the Pop Stage.

  24. Pity we did not recieve the new stage straight away, will take a day to reach the first prize. Notice they have not upped the daily bonus, not yet anyway. However there are now more characters able to perform, not sure if you have had time to spot this yet ?

  25. Hello Mr. Kompowsky and welcome to my Springfield. You’ll find the Kwik-E-Mart there, the Simpsons house here and…well the rest is a mess due to KEM-farming. But nevermind and enjoy the tasks I’ll give you! 8)

  26. Looks like the Rock Stage, Kwik-E-Mart and the Simpsons House still allows the Rockers to rock, and Moe’s has been converted to a pop venue. Only the artists with pink symbols can go there now, and Milhouse, Ralph, Nelson and Bart have joined the ranks with 2* each.

    • While Rock Stage and the Simpsons House are unique to Rock; Kwik-e-Mart and Moe’s are multi-Act stages and can currently be used for Rock and Pop. More on this in the Act 2 Jam Sessions post.

      • Hmmm… I looked at another one of my games, and it seems Kwik-E-Mart and Moe’s change (randomly?); but they seem to be either rock or pop, no mix.

  27. @IndianaUnderwood

One of the first times I’m excited to be awake at 5 in the morning! Been a great event so far!

  28. In act one I finished the task with 3 days and 17 hours to spare, I played 4 a 5 times a day every day and did not receive no bonuts
I sincerely hope that when I have completed this task before time I will receive my bonuts.

    • Cannot understand why you received no bonuts, I finished about the same time & had at least 4 rounds of extra bonuts ?

      • In order to activate bonuts, you had to have sent Nick to Jam on the Rock Stage specifically. You wouldn’t get bonuts if he only jammed on one of the other 3 stages.

  29. I would love Kompowsky but….. it cost donuts! I have to save sprinklies for December. I think I will pass.
