Wowsa! Homerpalooza has made a big ol’ splash in Springfield! What better way to cap off the summer than with a huge music fest in Springfield?! Complete with not only the character we’ve all been dying to get in our games but another Helpful Guest Star in Springfield…WEIRD AL!
For Act 2 of Homerpalooza you’re tasked with working your way through the Pop Sensations in Springfield…including Jam Sessions, funding Weird Al’s bedazzling habits, killing the kids with Buzz cola and selling loads of Kwik-E-Merch to the fans scattered across Springfield…
As was mentioned on the run down post Act 2 of Homerpalooza runs until August 29th (when Act 3 will start), and you’ll need a whole lotta sunglasses to get things started….
Don’t forget the Questline will help you get some bonus prize currency…so make sure you complete it to earn that extra currency…
Let’s take a look at the quick walkthrough for the second Act of Homerpalooza…
Pop and Circumstance Pt. 1
Lisa starts
Build the Pop Stage- 10,500

Completed Task Earns 50 , 10xp
Pop and Circumstance Pt. 2
Milhouse starts
Make a Performer Jam on the Pop Stage- 4hrs, Bart, Ralph, Nelson & Milhouse can all now perform on the Pop Stage.
Completed Task Earns 25 , 10xp
Pop and Circumstance Pt. 3
Lisa starts
Craft Buzz Cola Tent- 100 
, and you need to be on Crafting Level 8
Completed Task Earns 25 , 10xp
Pop and Circumstance Pt. 4
Lisa starts
Place Pop Star Plane- 60,100
Completed Task Earns 25 , 10xp
Pop and Circumstance Pt. 5
Lisa starts
Make Celebrities Take Selfies in Pop Star Plane- x3. 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp Freemium and $260, 70xp Premium
Completed Task Earns 50 , 10xp
And just like in Act 1, once you finish the Act 2 Questline (complete Pt. 5 of Pop and Circumstance) you’ll have a chance for Bonuts! Yes, for every 10,000 you collect AFTER completing the questline (questline, not the prize track) you’ll have a chance for 1, 2 or 3 donuts!
Pro Tip: If you tap “Do It” on the More Pop task box it’ll take you to where fans are in your Springfield. Great way to find them quickly, aside from our other tips we wrote about here.

I play a lot, but have somehow come up short with only one day left and over 15,000 sunglasses short to get Alaska Nebraska. I’ve only got a few true blue friends who’ve regularly sent me lawyers (even though I distribute to all 100 of my friends). Not sure if this is why I came up short, but bummed I won’t be getting Alaska despite what seems like constant tapping!
Ok – not sure where to post this. One serious question and one he🏒🏒 yeah question:
(1) If I have an uncollected daily task that awards sunglasses and I don’t collect them before Act 3 starts, will they convert to Act 3 currency?
(2) Would anyone else be SUPER psyched for B-Sharps skins (with stage tasks, of course) for the five (if you count Wiggum – could be an interesting side quest) as a premium item at the start of Act 3?!!
Yes, but don’t start saving them until Sunday. You can only save 2 (you’ll get a new one Tuesday Morning), so save Sunday and Monday
The B-Sharps are already available, if you buy the Open Air Stage. That’s the main reason I bought it, although I must admit that the B-Sharps don’t appear there too often, because it’s hard to find a time when all of those characters are available at once (and the task is a 3-hour one, which doesn’t always fit into the general task schedule.
But I do love to watch them perform, and they even have a great little (and I do mean little!) sound clip that goes with it. 🙂
I still am not able to get any way to have the Pop Stage open so that the kids can go do tasks on the Pop Stage. The kids show up in the list that all the other characters who do the Rock performances but there is no clickable anything to send them to perform on the Pop Stage. I contacted EA and they just told me to do the trouble shooting which I even uninstalled/reinstalled and I still can’t to the Pop and Circumstances quest.
Call EA back. Let them know you’ve done the uninstall/reinstall thing. Keep calling until you find a rep who can truly help you.
Just a question, are there any cash/free items in this event that help improve yor bonus XP/Cash rating?
No, unfortunately not.

I laughed so hard at that beginning of Act 2 … Yes you have more Springfield Characters to jam and obtain event currency / crafting currency … I just wish the excess of the Punk / Post-punk Generation X wasn’t excluded (we’ll see how Act 3 turns out!)

Note that the new characters like Bart are not always available for jam sessions.
I’m not sure I know what you mean… They are always available, as long as there’s the right kind of venue for them to play at and they’re not on some other task. If there is a spot available on, say, the pop stage, and Bart isn’t already on some other task, he will always be available to play there.
I wish they’d release new, “tween” crowds…the rock crowds just don’t look right at the pop venue…they need to be younger and have a higher percentage of females.
I want to buy Rock Maggie. if I hit the buy now for her in the rockers selection box, and that takes me to the Mystery Box, is it still a random crapshoot? or will it buy Maggie?

Anyone know if there will be anything else coming to fill out the rock school campground? My extra spooky sheds aren’t cutting it. At least bring back the Rommelwood (?) Military school barracks as an option.

Send all your rock stars 1st while waiting for the pop stage. Bigger stars. Bigger payouts. And keeps ’em rockin’ collecting glasses instead of doing other tasks.
If I already have a Buzz Cola tent built, will that count? Or do I need to make another one?

I would like to know this also. The last couple of times (the pyre & the small iceberg) I had to purchase another item even though I had previously done so. I’m hoping that will not be the case this time.

I don’t know how I did it but my pop stage is not built yet but I am using the kids. They only show up at Moes and KwikE Mart. In my husband’s town, however, they do not show up for use. Any thoughts?
Moe’s and KEM are multi-purpose venues for all three Acts, while each Act has two unique venues. More to be revealed in the Jam Sessions post.
But for now, Rock Stage and Simpsons House are Rock only; Pop Stage and (wait for the post – how’s that for building anticipation 🙂 ) are Pop only; and Moe’s and KEM are both Rock and Pop.
So when you go to jam at Moe’s and KEM, they will randomly require either Rock or Pop. So you may find both Rock, both Pop, or one of each at those two venues. So when you went earlier, one or both were Pop (which is why you could send the Party Posse). However, when your husband went, both were Rock (which is why he couldn’t send the Party Posse).
Maybe it is time for a post on the subject, even if it is not explaining ALL the ins and outs – I must have read your comment on that for the fiftieth time now… 😉

@Elissa I was able to do this too, but suddenly the kids aren’t available to perform anymore. I do t have the pop stage yet either. I’m guessing maybe a glitch?
