Homerpalooza Prize Guide: Act 2 (Pop), Prize 1 Pop Stage

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Put another dime in a jukebox and grab your dancing shoes, because Homerpalooza has arrived in Springfield!  Yes, the biggest music fest to hit our pocket-sized Springfields since the Singing Stones is live and rocking on our devices!  The latest event in TSTO has us feeling the beat as we experience different genres of music…with a little Weird Al thrown in the mix!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the second Act, Pop, you’re tasked with collecting Sunglasses () to unlock each prize!

The First Pop Prize awarded at 10,500  is the Pop Stage, because nothing says boy band like a multicolored stage and flashing lights…

So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 10,500 you’ll automatically be awarded the Pop Stage and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place the stage in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later.  Don’t store it…if you do you won’t be able to complete the Act 2 questline…

The Pop Stage is essential to Act 2, without it you won’t be able to have the Pop Acts perform Jam Sessions.

For more details about Pop Stage Jam Sessions check out Safi’s post here.

Let’s move onto the quick details on the stage…

Size: 7×9
Earns: Nada for now. But characters can Jam there, so it’ll earn event currency for their tasks.
Conform-O-Meter:
Vanity +100
Other Info: Can be placed on the grass/pavement/beach/boardwalk/dirt/pier.  This is it’s own stage, not a “skin” for the Rock stage.

And there you have it, the details behind the Pop Stage, the first Homerpalooza Act 2 prize!

What’s Next?

ico_stor_single_freelandtokenTechnically the Free Land Tile and a new venue unlocked is next….awarded at 24,200 , but since that’s not a tangible gift for Springfield (just a free land space & unlocking the Springfield Elementary for Jam Sessions.  And a real quick note about the Jam Venue…it’s not a physical item for Springfield.  This just unlocks your ability to hold Jam Sessions at Springfield Elementary)

the next prize we’ll cover is…

Stage Turret- Awarded at 41,100 .  This will be the next prize we break down in the prize guide post.

What are your thoughts on the Pop Stage? Safe to assume you’ve unlocked it by now?  Where have you placed it in your Springfield? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Hi all,
I’ve unlocked the pop stage but I can’t assigne any performers….it doesn’t show up in the console. Is there a quest line that needs to be unlocked also? Thanks

  2. Maggie (not to mistake with Rockstar Maggie) is supposedly a performer for Act II and Act III, but even though I finished the main Pop stage questline on Aug 23rd morning, she hasn’t showed up as a performer. Does anyone know what to do to make her perform?

  3. As a thought; As more bonuses are awarded for a quick clearance of lawyers; Those that have their nationality flags from prior events – please place one near the splash screen for visitors! My Aussie flag is usually near the Simpson house; But I do move it for events that are time sensitive! Some people’s usernames suggest where they live; But after 5 years of constant play it’s hard for me to recall whom is from where!

  4. Hi to my neighbour Brad! (Whom posted earlier) You must be awake when I’m asleep & vice versa – I’m having trouble dropping lawyers in your town. I’m Australia eastcoast & reset 7.30 am my time every morning. Usually do the visits on my 2 towns before noon each day. I’ve tried 3am my time & still your town is full of lawyers! Sorry for the scanty drop!

  5. My pop stage wont activate it wont work at all. I am pretty bummed. Any suggestions
My granndaughter was even able to buy more pigs and a guitar for the shack. Along the side of her Rock Stage which wasnt present on my phone.

  6. Reply for Charles- Hello neighbour! My A game has been going since the first few weeks of the game. No donuts for me on either my A or B games! I’m the dexterous usernames.

I’ve a problem also; Since the Pop stage landed I’ve been unable to send band people to KEM or Springfield School (never even sent a character there!) All I get is 8 slots for performers & a promo to buy someone named Leon. This leaves me with 5 star players wandering around without a stage! Anyone else only have 8 spaces for performers? I send my rock ones to rock stage. Rock Maggie & Lisa to Moe’s. 2 @ 5 stars to Simpson house & am stuck with sending the 4 low score kids to the pop stage. I’d rather send higher earning players, but theyre not showing. Nothing else to scroll down & use – though characters are free to be used!

Message for EA – Not happy EA! I spent money on donuts to buy characters & skins & upgrade them & they don’t appear on my playlist for any stage! This is by far the worst event since the Easter wheel (whichever year that was! & Whacking Day!) For the first time in many years I’m really thinking of regaining my life & to stop playing. Worst event ever!!

  7. On several occasions I have ended up locking out available musicians with empty spots open. If you make a mistake after hitting the jam button can you undo at start over. Tried storing the stages but that didn’t work. Hate not having Homer play somewhere

    • Unfortunately without spending donuts, your only option is waiting 4 hours. My Homer is still at 1.5 stars. I haven’t used him in over 10 days.

  8. Homer, Apu, Hubert, and Lovejoy can no longer perform at the Kwik-E-Mart this morning. Is this happening to anyone else?

  9. btw, was there a drop with the Anniversary Announcement?

    • A few people (including my neighbours Doorman, Swissy, Sparky) who keep track of donuts say their count went up by 5. A few people state they track their donuts and didn’t see it change. I don’t keep track so I have no idea.

      • MydadlookslikeFlanders

Cool! That explains where my five donuts came from that appeared. I thought I had won them in the Krustyland balloon game without noticing. That explains it for sure 🙂

  10. I’m onto the 5th prize now… I’ve placed the plane and finished the main questline, so now the bonuts are on their way!

  11. Confetti Stage Cannon : Useless….that’s all 🙂

  12. For one day only…..
Just to fool neighbours and make them disoriented…..

I put my pop stage on the boardwalk…looks ok, maybe a permanent home for it after the event

    🇬🇧😁

    • That’s actually a pretty good idea! I was going to have it next to my Rock Stage but without any fans to show my disdain of pop… but I really like the idea of not having it there at all, while livening up the boardwalk area at the same time

  13. Don’t know what’s going on, but ever since the Anniversary update I don’t seem to get any lawyers. Haven’t changed the way I play but I’ve only gotten about 5 lawyers today. My apologies to my neighbors for not giving any out.😫😫😫
P.S. I didn’t notice an increase of donuts after the Anniversary pop up.

  14. Just when i thought there wasnt a lamer thing than the smoke puff machine along comes the stage turret……lol

  15. 1st – this is a slow 👏 for EA (5th year anniversary and not 1 free Donut? Thanks – but No Thanks!)

The Pop Stage – I giggle every time I zoom in on my Springfield Characters lip syncing to their dance moves)😅

Those Stage Turrets are so big? They need Judas Priest logos!😅

    • Several players who keep track of their donuts are reporting that their donut total went up by 5 donuts following the message.

      • Maybe the donuts only went to players who started in 2012.

        • I didn’t receive a donut boost and pretty sure I’ve been playing since the beginning, certainly for a very long time. I stuck with it during the very buggy early days. Disappointed. 🙁🇬🇧

          • MydadlookslikeFlanders

I lucked out and got the five donuts and the anniversary message. I started playing in January of this year and I’m freemium. My android tablet was a Christmas gift and I had always wanted to play tapped out for ages

      • If that were true, it would make no sense for EA not to mention it in the message…why bother to give people donuts they might not even notice that they got?

        • Several players who keep track of their donuts are reporting that their donut total went up by 5 donuts following the message. I’m just conveying what they said. I don’t really keep track of donuts to that extent. However, this wouldn’t be the first time EA had a vague pop up message and we got donuts without them specifically mentioning donuts.

  16. 5 year message
    No prize?
    No bonuts?

    • Several players who keep track of their donuts are reporting that their donut total went up by 5 donuts following the message.

  17. Got a couple of turrets and decided to put them out at Rommelwood instead (they’re really too big for my stage area)…a good place for Classified Records also😄.

  18. no donuts w/ anniversary message

  19. I also did not get the anniversary message along with the donuts. When did this happen?

  20. LT Smash will be able to play jam sessions?

  21. When you allocate performers to the pop stage,…. the third and bonus slots are the ones who will appear on the top step at the back, and the first two slots appear at the front of the stage

    🇬🇧😁

  22. Anyone else get the “Happy Anniversary” message?

  23. Was there a server side update yesterday to block (slow down) Kwik-E-Mart donut farming? I have only 1 KEM and the price is locked at 14 400?

    • Are you sure you didn’t accidentally put them in storage instead of selling them? Mines are the same price.

    • I’ve cycled my farm this morning and the first ones were priced as usual. Check if you accidentally stored some in inventory.

    • You likely accidentally stored your KEMs when you meant to sell them – check your inventory. 🙂

    • The price in my store this morning for one is $10,300.

      • $10,300 is the price of the 24th KEM, as listed in my post on KEM farming here. I suspect you already have 23 KEM iin your town or inventory. Perhaps you hit store instead of sell during one round of farming.

        • Hi I do not have any in storage and 13 in my town currently, that is the price in my store. Thx

          • Do the following three prices match? You can try selling the 13. And re-buy them and see if it starts at $220. If it doesn;t, the others are hiding somewhere, whether in your town or inventory.

          • Thanks I did recheck my giant inventory and did find eight of them. Appreciate the advise and glad this subject came up as I was paying too much for them each time.

    • what is donut farming? Ive been playing this game since it came out and its the first i’ve heard of it.

  24. I’ve I’ve unlocked Springfield Elementary Jam Session. The best I’ve come up,with is.
Start there. Assign pop artists. Move to Moe’s. Assign Pop artists. Keep working back. Eventually assigning Pop and Rock.
By the time time i reach the Pop Stage, hopefully I will still have 4 players who can do Pop.
I’ve bought BGM and Shredder and the other optional characters. But usually I can fill all stages.

And with my Star upgrades, I’m getting 1500 to 1800 combined pay out.

But boy, do I have to work at assignments.

    • I have 15 of the 16 available characters so far (no Rockin Otto and no Pop Weird Al yet either). I have 14 of them filling all 6 venues again.

Here’s one option you can do:
Rock Stage (Rock only): Peter, Freddy, Shredder, Nick
Simpsons House (Rock only): Dr Hibbert, Apu
Pop Stage (Pop only): Bart, Milhouse, Ralph, Nelson
Springfield Elementary (Pop only): Leon K, Rockstar Maggie
Moe’s and KEM (both Rock): Lisa, Bleeding Gums, Weird Al, Rev Lovejoy, Homer, or Rockin’ Otto
Moe’s and KEM (one Rock & one Pop): Weird Al, Rev Lovejoy, Homer, or Rockin’ Otto on Rock and Lisa or Bleeding Gums on Pop
Moe’s and KEM (both Pop): Lisa, Bleeding Gums, and eventually baby Maggie and Pop Weird Al

      • Thank you, that will be very useful!

      • It’s so weird, it seems like some of the venues change which they’ll allow, but they sure as heck never tell you.

        • Just Moe’s and KEM will randomly change. The rest are all fixed. Not sure if you saw the Act 2 post on Jam Sessions here.

          • if just moe and kem change: would it be best to fill up those venues first??

            • It depends on how many characters you have. If you have the premium characters or just the freemium ones. I have 15 of the 16 available characters so far (no Rockin Otto and no Pop Weird Al yet either). I have 14 of them filling all 6 venues again.

Here’s one option you can do if you have premium characters:
Rock Stage (Rock only): Peter, Freddy, Shredder, Nick
Simpsons House (Rock only): Dr Hibbert, Apu
Pop Stage (Pop only): Bart, Milhouse, Ralph, Nelson
Springfield Elementary (Pop only): Leon K, Rockstar Maggie
Moe’s and KEM (both Rock): Lisa, Bleeding Gums, Weird Al, Rev Lovejoy, Homer, or Rockin’ Otto
Moe’s and KEM (one Rock & one Pop): Weird Al, Rev Lovejoy, Homer, or Rockin’ Otto on Rock and Lisa or Bleeding Gums on Pop
Moe’s and KEM (both Pop): Lisa, Bleeding Gums, and eventually baby Maggie and Pop Weird Al

If you only have freemium players, you will have empty venues. Here’s what I would do:

Scenario A – Moe’s and KEM (both Rock)
Moe’s and KEM (both Rock): Lisa, Weird Al, Rev Lovejoy, Homer
Rock Stage (Rock only): Peter, Nick, Dr Hibbert, Apu
              Simpsons House (Rock only): empty
Pop Stage (Pop only): Bart, Milhouse, Ralph, Nelson
              Springfield Elementary (Pop only): empty

Scenario B – Moe’s and KEM (one Rock & one Pop) if Pop Weird Al unlocked
Moe’s and KEM (one Rock & one Pop): Rev Lovejoy and Homer at Rock; Lisa and Pop Weird Al at Pop
Rock Stage (Rock only): Peter, Nick, Dr Hibbert, Apu
              Simpsons House (Rock only): empty
Pop Stage (Pop only): Bart, Milhouse, Ralph, Nelson
              Springfield Elementary (Pop only): empty

Scenario C – Moe’s and KEM (one Rock & one Pop) if Pop Weird Al not available
Moe’s and KEM (one Rock & one Pop): Rev Lovejoy and Homer at Rock; Lisa and Bart at Pop
Rock Stage (Rock only): Peter, Nick, Dr. Hibbert, Apu
Simpsons House (Rock only): Rock Weird Al alone
Pop Stage (Pop only): Nelson alone
Springfield Elementary (Pop only): Milhouse and Ralph

Scenario D – Moe’s and KEM (both Pop)
Moe’s and KEM (both Pop): Bart, Milhouse, Ralph, Nelson
Rock Stage (Rock only): Peter, Nick, Dr. Hibbert, Apu
Simpsons House (Rock only): Rev Lovejoy, Homer
              Pop Stage (Pop only): empty
Springfield Elementary (Pop only): Lisa and Weird Al Pop if available at Pop

It will get easier to fill Pop once you have Pop Weird Al and Alaska Nebraska as well.

          • thank you so much. those scenario’s really helped. also i just noticed that since i have weird al rock > i can place him in the simpson’s house alone rather than keep an empty venue in scenario C. again, ty for the much needed help. 🙂

    • Thanks! I’ve had some empty spots a few times, but working in reverse from the school using only one stage characters first seems to have filled all my spots.

On a side note about crafting, I spent 20 on Duff Fences to advance to level 11, but nothing new opened up and now I need 500 more for the next level. I wanted a few concert lights, but they are still locked. Makes me kinda sad.
