Homerpalooza Prize Guide: Act 2 (Pop), Prize 3 Stage Turret

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Put another dime in a jukebox and grab your dancing shoes, because Homerpalooza has arrived in Springfield!  Yes, the biggest music fest to hit our pocket-sized Springfields since the Singing Stones is live and rocking on our devices!  The latest event in TSTO has us feeling the beat as we experience different genres of music…with a little Weird Al thrown in the mix!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the second Act, Pop, you’re tasked with collecting Sunglasses () to unlock each prize!

The third Pop Prize awarded at 41,100  is the Stage Turret, because what’s a Pop concert without a little F.U.N…

So let’s take a closer look at this third prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 41,100 you’ll automatically be awarded the Turret and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place the shed in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.

It does come with a little questline/dialogue when placed…

Bursting with F.U.N.

Bart: Whoa!  Are we finally going to war with Shelbyville?
LT: Unfortunately, no.  This turret is decommissioned. It is now just a confetti cannon, firing Fractured Unprinted Newspaper
Bart: F.U.N.?  Did you just say it shoots F.U.N.?
LT: The military loves its acronyms.
Tap the Stage Turret

And here are the quick details:

Size: 4×4
Earns: Nada. Just a decoration, not much F.U.N. in that…
Conform-O-Meter:
Vanity +100
Other Info: Can be placed on the grass/pavement/dirt/Boardwalk/Pier.
Animation: Animated when tapped.  Gun goes off.  Personally, I think EA missed a big opportunity here to actually have this thing shoot confetti.  That would have been cool…

And that’s it.  No permanent tasks, no income earned.  Just a retired Turret

And there you have it, the details behind the Stage Turret, the third Homerpalooza Act 2 prize!

What’s Next?

Popstar Plane- Awarded at 60,100.  This will be the next prize we break down in the prize guide post.

What are your thoughts on the Turret? Have you unlocked it yet? Where have you placed it in your Springfield?  Do you think EA missed the boat on animated with this one? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Just added two turrets to defend Krusty’s oil platform. There be pirates in these waters, matey…aaarrgh🙀.

  2. A lot of people saying they don’t think it fits and have stored it. Ill be crafting several as it can be used on:
    – boardwalk tiles to defend the shoreline alongside the submarine.
    – Rommelwood as ceremonial guns

A shame the Party Posse can’t use it for performances though.

  3. ‘Personally, I think EA missed a big opportunity here to actually have this thing shoot confetti. That would have been cool…’

    Agreed 🙁

    An eyesore
Me thinks they could do better
    Enough with these loooooooooong events

  5. My torret is in front of the rockstage, coming in the showoff.

  6. Agree that this should shoot SOMEthing! A few lines of programming in the nEAxt update could make this lame item pretty cool.

  7. Just got Alaska. Her first Quest USA 4 hour stint at a Pop Stage.
So be forewarned- hold off on sending everyone else on their Jam Sessions until you can send A.K.

  8. I crafted a second ine in case I could someday place them on the beach.

  9. I agree with what Alissa and other people have commented, it really should shoot confetti or at least the (F)ractured (U)nprinted (N)ewspapers.

  10. Just feel like it’s a returning decoration, it just doesn’t fit in with anything from this event.
I was also looking forward to the smoke machine, but another massive let down, it’s too small to make it worth tapping especially when I usually end up tapping the stage instead

Got it a few days ago, agree with the confetti, would be nice if it rained confetti like the donut rain. Oh well..
On another note, sorry neighbours, I haven’t dropped lawyers in a few days, I’ve been hoarding them so I could drop ten in everyone’s towns, p.s. have fun finding them all 😁😁
I will revisit soon for those who already had some in their town. 😃

  12. Agree that it’s lame and it went straight into storage (after I placed it and tapped on it once). I did, however, craft a second one, because I thought that, if I ever found a use for it in the future, I’d probably want two, for symmetry. (I’ve learned to craft at least a couple of pretty much everything, because you never know what might come in handy down the road…)

  13. May get a couple more and place them on the water(great idea BA) defending the Krusy oil rig…the two I have are at Rommelwood next to the training plane. Off topic…a new neighbor for Disco Stu…The Snub Club. 😁

    • I was going to just store the thing after having looked at it just sitting where my Hip-hop stage will likely go, but it bugs me every time I see it there seemingly out of place with anything that might surround it. I also might have to “borrow” your crowds at the clubs idea. 😁

      • They’re also at my party section of Squid World, my stadium area, and at my movie theaters. The rest of my crafting will probably just be crowds, since we don’t seem to be getting anything new. ☹️

  14. Instead of shooting Fractured Unprinted Newspaper, it seems, as items go, it Lacks All Measureable Excitement (LAME).

  15. Should schoot confetti indeed.
    oxome

  16. You are right, it should shoot confetti.

It’s quite a poor prize in my eyes, which is why I stored it.

  17. Has anyone else got a message saying they have completed act 2 when you actually haven’t? I still have a roll of tickets and Nebraska to collect…

  18. Bursting with lame. It shoulda shot something out of it….tshirts (look out Maude), confetti, bubbles…..
You know what’s better than nothing? ANYTHING!!!! Lol.

    • Bubbles would have been fun😃…of course, if the smoke machine is any example, we would have gotton one tiny bubble…that’s it…sigh😞.

  19. Into storage.
If it been designed slightly different, it could have doubled as an anchor – then it would have been PART of the ⛵️ boat instead of missing it entirely.

  20. place it on a fancy SH water tile and it looks like a shore gun out on the water to place next to the lighthouse or submarine. Kinda neat to fit into everyday springfield

  21. After the dialogue, I actually thought that thing would shoot confetti. That would have been cool… As it is, it’s probably more at home in a military environment than at a Music Festival.

  22. Agree ea missed out, confetti or donuts

  23. That’s what I like about the donut boat. You tap it and the sky is filled with donuts: “DRRRRROOOOLLLLL! Donuts! 🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩”

  24. Great for the castle and my walking dead prison. 🙂

Not putting them anywhere near my stage!
