Homerpalooza Prize Guide: Act 2 (Pop), Prize 4 Pop Star Plane

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Put another dime in a jukebox and grab your dancing shoes, because Homerpalooza has arrived in Springfield!  Yes, the biggest music fest to hit our pocket-sized Springfields since the Singing Stones is live and rocking on our devices!  The latest event in TSTO has us feeling the beat as we experience different genres of music…with a little Weird Al thrown in the mix!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the second Act, Pop, you’re tasked with collecting Sunglasses () to unlock each prize!

The fourth Pop Prize awarded at 60,100  is the Pop Star Plane, because nothing will attract Pop Stars to Springfield quite like a big plane with sunglasses…

So let’s take a closer look at this fourth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 60,100 you’ll automatically be awarded the plane and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place the plane in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.

It does come with a little questline/dialogue when placed…

Wide-Eyed Optimism
Lisa starts

Lisa: Okay, Dad, this glamorous plane is just what we need to attract more pop stars to Springfield.
Homer: I’ve never seen anything uglier. Who’s gonna be crazy enough to want to spend time with it.
Abe: Hiya toots! I like a lady with glasses!
Lisa: Asked and answered.
Make Grampa Woo a Pop Star Plane- 3hrs, Earns $135, 35xp

And here are the quick details:

Size: 9×10
Earns: Nada. Just a decoration, doofy glasses and all…
Conform-O-Meter:
Vanity +100
Task: Grampa has a 3hr task there, Woo a Pop Star Plane ($135, 35xp)
Other Info: Can be placed on the grass/pavement/dirt

And that’s it.

And there you have it, the details behind the Pop Star Plane, the fourth Homerpalooza Act 2 prize!

Also, once you’ve unlocked the plane and completed the main questline for it (which you can view here) you’ll start earning Bonuts.

What’s Next?

Technically 400 tickets is the next prize, awarded at 79,100, but since that’s not a tangible prize for Springfield (just some extra crafting currency).  The next prize we’ll cover is…

Alaska Nebraska- Awarded at 105,500.  This will be the next prize we break down in the prize guide post.

What are your thoughts on the Pop Star Plane? Have you unlocked it yet? Where have you placed it in your Springfield?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Has anyone else unlocked Alaska Nebraska but not had her appear? I earned the required amount of sunglasses while in a friends town. When I got back to mine she shows as unlocked but hasn’t appeared??

  2. How do you get more sunglasses maybe abit late for this stage but im at 42000 and ive played multiple times everyday but my friends have way over 70000 plus where am i going wrong!

    • Pat’s post here covers most of the math. Basically sending characters to jam every 4 hours (ideally at least 4 times a day), completing the daily tasks that award 1000 or 1500 sunglasses, and to a lesser extened sending and finding lawyers and visiting 10 neighbours every day.

  3. I like the plane I just got unlocked it a few days ago and I am working to get Alaska Nebraska I think it will fit in nicely with my other airport themed things. When is the crafting post going to be up?

  4. This prize is pretty meh for me. I already have several planes and I don’t need a nerdy one! Now before anyone gets on me for calling glasses wearers nerds, I should point out that I wear glasses. But I’m still 😎

  5. Eighteen days left in this Event.
It takes 16 Jam Sessions to add 1/2 Star. Soooo
Figure out how many Half-Stars a character is from a full Five Star rating, and that is how many Jam Sessions per day you need in order to bring it to a full 5 Star rating.
And still have a couple of days of play.

And that is what I’m doing, sending my lowest rated characters so that they build up.

  6. I really liked the land token prize

  7. My airport is now quite busy!

  8. Another plane for my Airplane Museum 🙂

  9. Really really wish we got Elton with this act somehow….

  10. I really like that this plane is the exact same size as the black leather one from the around the world update. I thought that this looked familiar when I first seen it, “Its that damn chandelier again.”

  11. This event has left me with several observations :

    1. I can’t shake the feeling that this new format of triggering the bonut rounds way before the last prize has been unlocked, is EA trying to say sory with out actually saying sorry. Someone must have realized that they had botched the last event with their mid-act nerfing ouf payouts. I wouldn’t be surprised if they reverted back to the old format (bonuts after last prize) with the next event.

    2. The prizes have been in general rather meh, but considering that by the end of act 2 we’ll alrady have 4 new fully functional characters makes up for that to a point.

    3. Also interesting to note that EA still seems to expect a lot of new players as all the characters doing Weird-Al-tasks and jam sessions are pre-level 30. That of course makes it hard for Freemium players to collect all the recycling prizes/Monorail parts.

  12. Got it, should have AN today. I placed the plane randomly in a field at the moment until I get around to renovating my airport. It’s at capacity now!

  13. EA should offen an incinerator, where a completely horrible decoration (like this plane with glasses) will be burned in a fire for 24 hrs. and then (after a final confirmation) gets deleted forever from your game. Until the incinerator is released, I’ll store this “decoration”.

  14. I like it… another airplane for my airport!
Would like some more runway but hey ho. 🙂
