Showoff Announcement: Homerpalooza

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s that time…calling all Addict Designers!  Now that Homerpalooza is in its final act, we’re getting ready to do the next Springfield Showoff and we want you to show us what you’ve done!  So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!

The next Showoff will feature your Homerpalooza designs! So use the rest of Act 3 to polish up those festival areas and show us how creative you’ve been with the Homerpalooza stuff!  Send in your designs and we’ll be putting up the Showoff Post featuring your designs on Tuesday, September 12th.

So you’ve got 2 weeks to work on them, including 2 weekends.

So finish up those designs and grab some screenshots of your town…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm ET Monday September 11th (giving you loads of time to get your areas together) can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.

You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com.  We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.

IF you Email your submissions please put Showoff Homerpalooza in the subject line, and make sure your photos are in JPEG or PNG format..please.  Also, be sure your submissions are in on time.

Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots.  We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images.  Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too).  We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two.  If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week.  You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page.  We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme.  Remember, this isn’t a contest.  There’s nothing to win.  It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts.  🙂

Do you want to be featured on the next Springfield Showoff?  Post your images  in the Comments below or email us your screenshots at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We can’t wait to see YOUR designs! (Need help with images, just ask.)

  1. Finally!! 🙌
After 30 screenshots and 15 layers, I was able to come up with this… I know, I could have picked up a smaller area (PLEASE ZOOM IN) but, it was important for me to show up how ‘the HOMERPALOOZA event’ was the perfect addition to my already existing ‘linear park’ so, yeah, even after ALL the hard work from this event, e-v-e-r-y single tap was worth it. What do you guys think?

P.S. Not every item from the event was featured on my design but I always try to make the most of everything, integrating new stuff with old ones.

    • I like the way you camouflaged the bomb shelters as port-a-potties by putting the crowds right up against them! I had thought of using them for that purpose, but wasn’t sure how to camouflage what they really are. I might just have to steal that (although I’ve already submitted my entries for the show-off, and don’t have the time or energy to redo that one, so only my neighbors and I will get to see the updated version).

  2. Fiiinished 😛

I’m still farming some more crowds but basic design and location are final.
My final thoughts about Homerpalooza: Decent offers (premium), new characters (free), good crafting items (fences, open-air stage equipment, beer tents, the spotlights AND crowds en masse), a lot of fun.
The act III prices are a little bit underwhelming. On the other side I gave the mystery box 3 tries to unlock rockstar Maggie (missed her out at TTT) and got saxophone Lisa (… ok…) and the open air stage (yeah!) which provides a 4h-task for moocher Bart and Cecil as well 🙂
Best hopes for an even better THOH’17!

  3. Add me i’m daily player. Level 130 now.

  4. Since completing all the tasks I’ve gathered more than 60k bling but have been offered no donuts. I’ve tried signing off and rebooting to no avail.
So time to give up on Homerpalooza and use the characters for other tasks..
A disappointing end to a disappointing game..

  5. Wow. You might as well have been speaking in Klingon. 🙂 I never get this right

  6. Does Praiseland count? Or just the actual Homerpalooza part?

  7. I personally don’t think EA have done to badly with this event. I have made my own mini Glastonbury with the pyramid stage all setup nicely.

My only grumble though is why no TENTS. I need a shed load of tents to be happy with my design.

  8. Made a nice Rock’n’Roll camp, but haven’t found the right groove for the Pop or Hip-Hop Stage yet. Maybe I will be event’s end.

I don’t have anything to showoff this time around, besides Jay G and Praiseland, which isn’t really Homerpalooza. As Mark said, we are really lacking in the Pop and Hip-hop craftables, so it’s tough to design. And with Pop being my favourite genre, it is a real let down for me.. 😞 Hopefully the next mini event is a good one, and of course, Halloween! 🎃

  10. The laser lights, smoke machines and floor lights definitely say Rock Concert. With the lack of craftables it’s difficult to get a pop music vibe or a Hip Hop feel to the venues we have. EA got lazy in regards to variety for all 3 Acts.

    • Yes, I agree heavily I truly think that E.A fumbled the ball on this one. E.A. could’ve done so much more like the casino event or superheroes remember the different games, the themes, lots of cool prizes, buildings characters, etc… they did a fantastic job in my opinion best events i started playing right after clash of clones or was it stone cutters (which I’ve read a lot of people just enjoyed and feel that E.A has not lived up to it again but I didn’t get a chance to play so I can’t comment. But with a music event E.A. could’ve added rides, food, games, but I don’t want to take up a long thread I just think that there was huge potential for this event and E.A totally failed by half-assing it. Great event but very lazy hopefully, hopefully E.A will come back strong this Halloween to make up for it. Thx for anyone who listened.

    • I think I’m going to use the Praiseland walls with the Pop stage. The bright garish walls match the gaudy tween vibe of the stage. Of course it will be the only stage without fans, because nobody likes Pop. As for the rest of Praiseland I’ll move the Solomon’s Temple next to my Egypt / Prehistoric area. The Rockin Ark boat ride will either be in my Duff Gardens or Pirate area.
