Addicts Bracket Challenge: Most Desired Building and the Winner Is…

How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there are plenty of buildings in the rich history of The Simpsons universe still not in our little game. We present to you TSTO Addicts’ Most Desired Building Bracket Battle.

Like last year, with your help, we created a Bracket of 64 beloved buildings we believe would bring a smile to your face, have great tasks, could make for an awesome event, or simply be a nice idea for a new Friends Point prize. Unlike last year though, you had a huge say in what buildings made the cut.

We pre-selected 96 buildings organized into eight thematic conferences. We had chosen four to get automatic entries into the Bracket. However, your votes in the pre-Bracket polls selected which four buildings would join them in each conference. Those 64 buildings would then battle each other in six rounds of head-to-head matchups, that we hope produces the most debate in the comments below.

With the Bracket determined, every Friday over summer, we’ll post that week’s matchups and your votes will determine which buildings advance to the next round, until we’ve crowned “The Most Desired Building” on Friday September 1st.

After 4 rounds of pre-Bracket polls and 10 weeks of voting, we finally have a winner. And the winner is…

?
Well, technically The League of Extra-Horny Gentlemen and One Night Stan’s are not the winner of the title “Most Desired Building”. But both do become the co-first buildings from the Bracket Battle introduced into our games, as both were unveiled with the arrival of the Pride mini-event. We’ve actually had quite a few buildings join the mix since the launch of the Bracket Battle.

Now before I get to the announcement, I just want to take a minute to thank A/W/P for helping with these posts over the summer and providing their picks every week. Especially want to thank Alissa for all her hard work in creating, inserting, and sending me results from the polls each week.

Now without further ado, the winner of the title of Most Desired Building:

TROY MCCLURE’S HOUSE

Houses/Mansions #3 seed Troy McClure’s House (64% – 750 votes) defeated Springfield Mall’s #1 I Can’t Believe It’s A Law Firm (36% – 430 votes).

Here’s the final completed bracket:

Thank you to everyone who voted and commented each week. With the winning pick worth a massive 40 points, be sure to come back next week to see the winner of the Bracket Battle Pick’em contest announced.

What are your thoughts on the winner? How early on did you predict this? With the winner of Most Desired Character, Bleeding Gums Murphy, introduced into our game within a year of earning the title; how much time until Troy McClure’s House joins the mix? What were your overall thoughts of the Bracket Battle? While no one will top the suggestion of having a Bracket Battle to determine the next Bracket Battle, what Bracket Battle do you want to see next? Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you.

  1. . I’m gonna neglect the bracket challenge it was merriment, thanks Safi 😁

  2. Great outcome! Thanks for all the hard work!

  3. We had a character bracket battle, a building bracket battle – what’s next? The only thing left are decorations now. What tree would YOU like to see in the game next? 😉

  4. I’m curious as to whether this would have beat out the Jazz Hole, had the latter not have entered our game during the battle. Is there any way to tell? gIve think not, although it should be easy to see which building had the highest number of votes in the contest as to which building most folks thought *would* win, regardless of whether it was the one that they *wanted* to win.

  5. Always like the brackets challenge even if I don’t normally like the outcomes

  6. Not surprised by the outcome…but I want to know the MOST IMPORTANT NEWS… Did I crack the Top 150 in regards to guessing?????

  7. Thanks for all the hard work on the bracket…

  8. Do you think E.A trolls these sites to see what the customer/player of their games opinion is? I wonder? But job well done Safi 👍keep up the different contests I enjoy them. Thx.

  9. Excellent. (1) I think it’s a visually interesting structure. (2) Since both of the finalists were related to Phil Hartman characters, I think it’s an excellent vote for EA to give us some of his characters in the game.

While there may have been some reasons not to add them to the game, likely due to Mr. Hartman’s horrible untimely death, I loved his work — especially the three greats: Troy McClure, Lionel Hutz, and Lyle Lanley — and wish they were included.

  10. I’m gonna miss the bracket challenge it was fun, thanks Safi 😁
