Homerpalooza Prize Guide: Act 3 (Hip Hop), Prize 3 All Sales Vinyl

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Put another dime in a jukebox and grab your dancing shoes, because Homerpalooza has arrived in Springfield!  Yes, the biggest music fest to hit our pocket-sized Springfields since the Singing Stones is live and rocking on our devices!  The latest event in TSTO has us feeling the beat as we experience different genres of music…with a little Weird Al thrown in the mix!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the third Act, Hip Hop, you’re tasked with collecting Bling () to unlock each prize!

The third Hip Hop Prize awarded at 56,900  is the All Sales Vinyl, because Vinyly there’s a building for a prize…

So let’s take a closer look at this third prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 56,900 you’ll automatically be awarded All Sales Vinyl and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.

It does come with a little questline/dialogue when placed…

Lisa starts

Lisa: Wow, a vinyl record store.  I can search for some of my favorite out-of-print jazz records.

Lisa: *sigh* A passion is a passion.
Make Lisa Search for Obscure Jazz Records- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp
Make Bart Search for Obscure Fart Records- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp

And here are the quick details:

Size: 4×6
Build Time: 24hrs
Earns: $200, 20xp/12hrs
Conform-O-Meter:
Consumerism+10
Other Info: Can be placed on the grass/pavement/dirt/Boardwalk/Pier

  1. All Sales Vinyl – finally! EA gives us a Prize Building (same size as your Downtown Buildings – which is cool!) Principal Skinner already has a 3 Hour Task (Mensa Meeting), this should’ve been a 6 Hour Task (with more Springfield Characters, too) but cool Building!👍

  2. New user here so I don’t have a lot of wiggle room. Added it at the end of the main street. When this event is over I’m cosidering redecorating and making it a real shopping street.

  3. I am sorry for bothering everyone it might have been answered all ready I have manager Cletus does he get to jam also I started doing his quest but don’t know if after a certain quest if he can jam also like Bart did

  4. I should finish & unlock the final prizes tomorrow morning Australian time in both my towns. Have been doing bonuts for 2 days now this 3rd act cycle & got 1 lot on each game. I can honestly say this has been the worst event ever! Worse than Whacking Day or the dreaded Easter Wheel event (was that 2014?)

With all the switcheroos as to whom can go where there is no incentive for middle of the night wakers / players or “other side of the world from USA people” to bother. I want to jump in then out of my 2 towns @ 3am – not have to think about who goes where to jam!

Finding lawyers in grey suits the same colour as the grey roads & hiding behind buildings? No Thank You! Not impressed @ all EA! (Just in case a representative reads this post!)

There are too many variables & components to this event. In all honesty; It’s the first time I’ve thought about giving up playing & I’ve been playing since week 1 on my A game. 5 years evidently!

This whole event is more like a grind than fun! I play this game for fun & as a pastime when I’m alone. (Elderly female player) I’m now seriously considering hanging up my hat & quitting!

  5. I guess EA heard my complaints… already finished the event with 5 days to spare (personal record… once I got the last prize 32 minutes before the update, at 2 AM). I might actually spend some money on donuts…

  6. I got to manager Cleetus and his truck this morning and the Homerpalooza prize board says that I won all the prizes and to keep collecting to earn donuts. I don’t have the open task in my task book though so I can’t tell if it’s counting them. Anyone else seeing this? I haven’t gotten through my various quests because I have all the questers singing on stage.

    • Your task book is completely empty? Or do you see this icon?

    • You don’t need to unlock Manager Cletus to get bonuts. You just need to complete Rappin’ Bart’s qeustline, Straight Outta Bartton Part 6. If you’ve only been sending Bart on Jam sessions and not doing his questline, you won’t get bonuts.

      • Ok, that’s it then. I’ve had Bart doing sessions like a sucker instead of completing his quests like less of a sucker.

        • Just be aware it’s a long questline. I unlocked Rappin Bart last Thursday and didn’t get my first set of Hip Hop bonuts until Saturday.

      • Isn’t it the main questline, Straight Outta Dumbton, that needs to be completed?

        • I don’t remember if it’s Dumbton or Bartton, I guess Dumbton sounds better. Either way, it’s a play on words of Straight Outta Compton. Yes, it is the main questline, but a lot of people are leaving it on hold post-unlocking Rappin’ Bart. So I’m just emphasizing Bart’s role in it by calling it Rappin’ Bart’s questline.

  7. I’m not getting option nor is it showing the bonuts at all and I’ve collected all the prizes why can’t I earn my free donuts.

    • Have you completed the quest line? I think that’s also required.

    • Getting all the prizes doesn’t trigger the bonuts rounds for this event…just like in the first two acts, it’s finishing the questline that triggers the bonuts rounds.

  8. I’ve grouped many of my smaller stores together to create a downtown shopping plaza.

    • I did something similar. I always appreciate a good tiny building. They fit anywhere and you can do a lot with them when you think creatively.

  9. i say this in the humblest way possible but i got cletus yesterday and am maybe 3-4 quests into his chain. i only bring up ’cause i’ve never completed one of these big events with this much time left…seems like the last 3-4 events i’ve been finishing but with maybe 1-2 days left. i did buy BGM which surely has helped but also wanted to thank TSTOA, once again, for all the info. i definitely hadn’t picked up the nuances of sending out performers during that first week, not until safi explained in comments, etc. now time to get some bonuts!

    • Sweet, I got a shout out! 🙂

    • Yeah, I’m going to finish up today more then likely (maybe small amount to clean up tomorrow first thing). Earliest I have ever finished an event. Only been tapping 3 times a day average this act. Saturday I didn’t tap once. Finished the crafting half way through act 2. This event was easy. I do have lots of premium characters, so made it that way. Never once felt the grind, or worry of tapping. Knew I was going to be done.

    • A_HarryWurstmann

I also got through with the whole event today, earning 16k bling per day. No premium figures involved.

  10. I like this building. Didn’t know Skinner had a task there, bonus!

  11. Unlocked it some days ago, and put it into the neighbourhood I made with this year’s pride buildings. It fits in nicely, size-wise.

    • I put it in the same place! Seemed like a nice fit for my little gay district.

    • I put mine next to Stu’s Disco, since I figure that people who like disco need a place where they can actually buy some (unless they’re looking for 8-tracks 😉 )

  12. This building brought back some memories of level update buildings with it’s 24 hour build time. I kind of wish the animation on it was a bit better (door opens + fan spins), but at least there is a permanent task for skinner here so that is something.
