What Does It Do?: Typical vehicle in Springfield. Sticks there and doesn’t do much (doesn’t go on the road).
My Opinion On It Now: It’s 35 donuts. Bonus % isn’t great, but it’s one of those if you like it and have a spot for it, get it items. If not, pass. (bonus % isn’t great, so not worth getting for that alone)

What Does It Do?: This one is cool. This one is an NPC, but it’s a vehicle that MOVES on it’s own, on the streets of Springfield! It’s pretty cool. However, if you have dirt in Springfield (dirt roads) it’ll spend all of it’s time stuck on the dirt. So keep that in mind.
My Opinion On It Now: I liked it when it first came out and I like it now, especially with the discounted price. I’d pick this one up again. It’s fun.

Garbage Truck or Street Sweeper – nope! not spending Donuts / Bonuts on these (just eating my Krispe Kreme, EA!) 😅
I got my street sweeper and Nessie off my dirt roads by placing more dirt roads in other parts of my town. They still spend the majority of time on the dirt roads but they travel now from one to the other.
If it gave a bonus I might consider it..

I was able to ground my street cleaner off the dirt roads using the one thing characters don’t walk thought: land not purchased. I did the same with the monster of lochness
I tend to be obtuse, but what does this mean? Sounds like you found a way for your street cleaner to avoid dirt roads. Could you elaborate please? It sounds intriguing.
Exactly. Sorry about my rusty English. I put my old west neighborhood above a strip of land that I didn’t´t buy. Store and replace the street car some times util he appears below my old west neighborhood. We still trying to go there, but it’s not smart enough to go around. So it is grounded at my France neighborhood. I will try to upload a picture.

Help! I just bought the street cleaner with the donut rebate, donuts were deducted, but the street cleaner is no where to be found! Not stuck in dirt, just no where. What do I do?
Just found it stored with my characters in inventory! Weird place, but it is quite cool!
Passed on the Garbage Truck, but I have been envious of the Street Cleaner in some of my neighbour’s towns, so I’m glad it returned. Instant buy. 😀
I got the street cleaner this time, but it’s going to stay in storage with Nessie until they fix it from constantly being on dirt roads… It just kills the whole “wild west” vibe.
Try putting dirt roads in sections of your town that are blocked from view by buildings. That worked in helping get my Street Cleaner to move around everywhere.
I had a question, the other day I was looking around for the S.I.B post for the street sweeper I found the original posting and upon reading the thread I came upon a post from I think it was Mab taking a picture of Lee’s town and it had a channel 6 van on the road, so I was wondering if that was a trick of the eye or were you able to find out a secret way to put the cars on the road? Thx.
There was alimited time a couple of years ago when you could put roads under some vehicles (you couldn’t put the vehicles on the roads, but you could drag roads under vehicles), which is how I was able to put my ice cream truck on the road. But they fixed that glitch, which is why I’m never gonna move that truck! (Which is a pain when I want to release Ice Cream Man Homer from his task prematurely, because I need him for something or sent him on that task accidentally.)

There are pictures on the Addicts flickr page from ages ago showing how to make the illusion of vehicles on roads…my garbage truck has been in the same place for ages in a street with bins outside each house like it’s dustbin-day

OZANHUS- 😂. I love my NPCs. My favourites are still the Bob Clones. I always tap them whenever I see them and still chuckle, especially the popcorn one. Street sweeper in storage now tho!…..💜X
Street cleaner is cool but trapped in the lower left hand part of my town, which is the old west. I guess there are too many road apples.
The road cleaner stays on the dirt roads cleaning up if you have them in your town. That is why mine has been and stays in storage. EA has not fixed that and wish they would.
I’d be more likely to buy the garbage truck if it could go on roads.
The garbage truck goes well next to the Garbage Dump, the Recycling Centers, and Garbage Cans.
At least, I believe so.
I just realized it is trying to clean up all that dirt on the dirt roads!
Finally a chance for me to get a second truck for my town. Let’s heat up the XP multiplier and get these (very expensive) donuts of the bloodmobile oven!
I created a garbage and recycling area for my Springfield from the monorail event things…have a couple garbage trucks from them as a result.
The street sweeper is great, but I wish they’d fix the stuck on dirt roads thing….it’s annoying.
It’s cool, it luvs dirt roads(my springfield “Westworld” will be immaculate!) and it’s kinda tiny – but I like it!
I like the look of the garbage truck so I got one. And I thought the street cleaner was a little too expensive before so glad it came back with a discount.
Let all the cars be NPCs and tasks to drive them, granpa in his classic or homer in his car, add some life to the streets, its a no for me!!!
I got both from first time around
When I don’t have enough performers for one of my stages ….I don’t mind not getting the currency but it’s a shame to see one person performing on their own
