Put another dime in a jukebox and grab your dancing shoes, because Homerpalooza has arrived in Springfield! Yes, the biggest music fest to hit our pocket-sized Springfields since the Singing Stones is live and rocking on our devices! The latest event in TSTO has us feeling the beat as we experience different genres of music…with a little Weird Al thrown in the mix!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the third Act, Hip Hop, you’re tasked with collecting Bling (
) to unlock each prize!
The sixth Hip Hop Prize awarded at 146,000 is the Manager Cletus Bundle, because sometimes you just have live “Big Pimpin'”…
So let’s take a closer look at this sixth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 146,000 you’ll automatically be awarded Manager Cletus and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place him in your Springfield or store him for later. Remember if you store him you’ll have to go into your inventory later to retreive him.
Once you’ve placed his monster truck in Springfield you’ll see his character unlock message popup:
And he’s part of the Homerpalooza Hip Hop 2017 Character Collection…

Sooooo…. My manager Cletus isn’t doing tasks at the premium rate anymore (back to $70/1hr task). Anyone else having that issue?

I have earned the Truck now, but neither the Manager Cletus skin appeared nor the Questline. I have Cletus.
I got Cletus like a week ago. Been collecting lots of Bonuts since then. 😀
I got manager Cletus and his monster truck earlier today, I really like that he earns at a premium rate. I’m not sure where to put his truck but at least Cletus has a task there. For people that cannot find manager Cletus I found him in the characters section of the inventory at the very end separated from the monster truck, so if you only place the truck it will not unlock manager Cletus and you have to keep looking in the inventory.
I just realized I screwed up and left the act questline undone thinking it was one of the billion quests i could leave sitting until the event ends. So I lost out on a bunch of bonuts 🙁
I have earned and placed the Monster Truck but I haven’t got Manager Cletus, I didn’t get the unlock screen, he’s not in the outfit selection screen or the outfit in the gallery.

They’re not tied to the prize track, they’re tied to the questline. Just like they were for every other act.

Just got him for my town, thanks for all the help with the lawyers, that just made me get him so I didn’t need to wait another four hours. Saving up my crafting currency for Monday to buy a hundred pigs. 😀

I finished Act 3 last week. It’s been nice to have 8 days of Boughnut rounds. I picked up The YES Guy from the Vault since he was discounted. Back in 2013 he was a freebie but 75 doughnuts is a good deal for a premium character for me. Manager Cletus is premium so that’s a win for me as well. I really want EA to offer Brandine at some point.
I was thinking about getting him too. Do you know if he helps with anything else in game? I don’t think he helps with monorail, Springfield heights, or anything. On the fence and liking for a push but Halloween is coming up.
Lucky you! I’ve only had crappy decorations in my vault for the past 3-4 weeks. My last purchase was Dr Nick, and I’ve been waiting for something good to come around.
It’s a bit of a shame The he doesn’t perform on a stage. But, great that it’s a Premium costume. I’ve missed them!

Monkey-vest Burns, tuxedo Krusty, now manager Cletus. Next tuesday with full staff (no jamming anymore) the 5-donuts monorail run. And after that you’ve to fish the characters out of the masses to dress them properly again… Wish EA would fix this, aside from the flying things, Norbert & co., whose tap area is too far below.
Premium skin as a prize is nice and I like the truck too.
Did anyone else get the truck but not Manager Cletus? I had him when I played the game on my phone but logged on to my ipad and wasn’t warned that my game hadn’t updated. Got the truck once again but no Cletus. Tried storing the truck and storing the farm with no luck.
I had to retrieve the skin from inventory.
Finished the event early this week at a pace of 16k bling per day. No premium characters. Now have 8k event currency… don’t want to buy 150 Duff tents… EA should offer a char to buy from it, like Charcoal Briquette, at least I’d hope that.
I just got him this morning. I like that he’s premium but I wish the task with the truck was 4 or 8 hours instead of 1 hr.
Does anyone know what to do with all the orange tickets? do you think they will cash them in whatever you have at the end for money or donuts?
They definitely won’t do that. Crafting currency is “use it, or lose it” currency. You can craft more crowds, fences, tents; whatever you like and whatever would fit your designing. But it will be of no use post-event.
In one event, they had a char in the end to buy with craft currency (Charcoal Briquette). Let’s hope for that. Otherwise, I’ll have 200 pig ballons for my town…
Charcoal Briquette was launched on the second day of Act 3, as part of Bastille day celebrations. As this is a spoiler-free site, they never posted anything explicitly saying she’s coming, but quite a few hints were provided and the comments kept suggesting people keep crafting currency, as she was already in the files from the onset of the event, 25 days prior to her release into the game.
This time no one is hinting or commenting anything, so start purchasing your next hundred pigs. 🙂
You could craft White Spotlights. The produce about 400 base XP when placed. (None of the other craft items give XP.) This could be a useful addition if you are KEM farming or Bloodmobile/Rat trap truck buying/selling.
This is a hilarious, fun skin for Cletus I think. I love the whole “Malibu’s Most Wanted” thing he has going on here. Nice ride too 🙂 I am happy he has a 1 hour task where I can see him in his truck with his moonshine, chillin’ like George Jones. I was able to earn him a few days ago, finished his quests and am nearing my fourth donut round this time. I bought three beach hideaways and depleted my donut savings. I placed all the Hideaway parts and got a great earning boost! I’m saving donuts for Halloween now and looking forward to it. It will be my first year playing Tapped Out this Halloween (I started in January) and I am going to dress up as a Simpson’s character this year to celebrate the event. (I’m dressing as Milhouse because the blue hair, clothes and glasses will make it easy for people to identify who I am. Also, because Milhouse is so smooth with the ladies) I’m watching all the Treehouse of Horror episode with friends too
I figured with a name like yours, you’d dress up as Rodd or Todd Flanders. But glad you are picking my favourite Simpsons character Thrillhouse!
