With Homerpalooza leaving our games this morning, I thought now would be a good time to look back at how all of the items added for this event impact our Conform-O-Meters. Especially since this event brought LOADS of items to Springfield…
The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and XP from everything you collect in the game. When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town. If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.
While the Homerpalooza event brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring a bunch of buildings and decorations. So let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating:

I fell off the wagon for a while, and got back into TSTO about halfway through this task…. so sadly wasn’t able to collect enough bling in time to get all of the prizes.
But the Weird Al prizes still seem to be up for grabs which is a result, and I’m about 24 hours away from completing the whole thing and getting the final prize.
Sooooo tempted to update my app for the new summer fete mini event…. does anybody know if I will lose my chance to finish the Weird Al tasks if I did this now?
I know I only have to wait like 1 more day…. but it’s a new event guys, I want to get on it lol
Hold off on the update as long a you can…you will lose ALL of your Weird Al options the moment you do.

For all the impatient people: app store updates usually hit just after I’ve gone to bed. I just brushed my teeth and put on my nightie – so it should drop in about 10 minutes. 😉
Looks like I was only off by about half an hour. But I went to bed rather early yesterday. 🙂
I noticed they I didn’t finish the record store or Manager Cletus goals and I thought that I would be able to finish today because they haven’t updated and they weren’t marked with a orange “!”. Have a lost the ability to finish them?
I hope not! I havent updated yet, but still need to finish just Weird Al’s last 400 tokens, to unlock him for the hiphop stage. Hopefully this will allow him to play on it after the event. I really should have done it earlier.
I was without power and cellphone reception because of Hurricane Irma, and my tablet died a few days ago too. I lost 3 days of play and got the Manager Cletus yesterday.

So funny! Everyone is waiting for this event to end too! Sadly I am not alone! I have been waiting all morning too! I REFUSE to do the daily challenge.. “make someone perform on hip hop stage'” for 4 hours for bling I don’t need!! Sorry, the springfielders are busy on the monorail to produce 5 donuts later this week! I keep checking the app store too.. nothing. Ugh. And other events that I DON’T want to end, automatically go through without me blinking. 🙁
i hate to get behind on the daily challenge so I FINALLY went ahead with it…. but yeah i’m glad i’m not alone, I REALLY want this event over. But i’ve already said a few posts down, I wasn’t a fan of this event.
You can have up to 3 Daily Tasks in the, uh, Daily Tasks Taskbar, so you wouldn’t ‘get behind’ by leaving it a day. 😊 Had you left it, it would have changed to a ‘regular’ task once you download the event takedown, and you can complete 2 (or 3!) DTs in one day. ☺
I saw a quick update yesterday when I logged in, and had my fingers crossed that it was code to prep for the event takedown. And if my theory was correct, I was also hoping it would mean the takedown would be up this morning.
Guess it was just code to end the bonuts and event premium items.
And now I’ve been checking here every half hour or so, along with checks to the App Store…damn you, EA! 😄
I miss the old days when EA consistently released updates at 9:00 am Pacific time on Tuesdays. This event is over. What are they waiting for?
App Store updates were always released later, they have to be approved by their respective app store (Apple, Google, Amazon). EA likely released it they’re just waiting on the approvals.
Right. I’m trying to be patient…but I also would like to work in the rail yard bonuts. After 2pm, I’m hesitant to do that. Don’t want to find out EA decided to hit us with a mini-event.
11:00 am PDT and still no take down update. I want to get rid of this event already.

I wasn’t really a fan of this event. For some reason people didn’t want the superhero event… even though I don’t know where else they could have gone with it, I thought last years superhero event was probably the 2nd funnest event they had besides the “first”? THOH event with the zombies that actually attacked the citizens? But this one just seemed seemed boring to me.. Save for a few like maybe the crowds the craftable items weren’t interesting and why end the event on Skins for prizes, I want characters.
Anyhow i’m glad the event will be over.
I’m so done with this event! I don’t plan on playing until there is a takedown! 😠
Curious, I haven’t unlocked Weird Al for the hip hop stage, should I have? I see the other singers, Alaska,Nic,etc, can play for money now on their stages. Appreciate the input!

I did for the POP Stage, didn’t bother for the HipHop one. Thinking if I did, it would unlock a 4 hour task for Weird Al to play on that Stage after the event shuts down. Currently my Alaska will play on the POP stage for 4hrs/$175 and both Nic and Peter can play on my Rock Stage for 4hrs/$175 an hour each.
If I had of unlocked WA on the hiphop stage, perhaps he would have had a 4HR task there. Thank you for your answer though, always appreciated.
No, there’s no such job for Weird Al at the Hip Hop stage present. Oddly enough, though, for the time being (aka without having installed an update), you can have SIX people perform at the rock stage simoultaneously: the freemium Sungazer guys (earning money) plus four of the other eligible characters (earning bling). Probably the same goes for the other stages/characters…
Vault is still going. I Know the original post said the game files hinted at Sept 12 but appears to be going strong, at least for this week.
Who knows with the takedown? I grabbed Akira and Lugash immediately to be safe.
I’ve got Pet Shop & the iguan (65D net!) and police car (2% for 30D net) 🙂 Akira was 2 months ago for me, Lugash was a ‘regular’ rebate buy last year … The vault is fun and tempting to spend 10 or 20 € for sprinkles at shortage. Each Tuesday 8am GMT every 2-3 weeks this seems OK for me.
All the items are gone from the store and I can no longer earn bonuts but the event update isn’t in the store so I’m in limbo. Kind of bummed — I didn’t finish the rail yard tasks this week while I tried to push for one more bonuts round and ended up missing that, too.

Any indication of what use the 3 Stages will be? I presume Rapper Bart will have a Task at the Rap Stage, but there is a lot of Real
Estate being consumed if they don’t generate income.

ugh is there anything even worth crafting? i mean sure i got at least a couple of everything but other then cosmetics is there anything like the wailing wall with percentage bonus? i remember that one halloween i dumped most of my crafting into wailing walls now ive got dozens of them and they are the majority of my percentage
The white spotlights give you XP on placement. I crafted several hundred and leveled up about six times.
I know…so annoying, especially since the takedown hasn’t happened and I’ve got a daily task to clear festival goers. I would have completed it to get one last round of bonuts, but now I might as well wait to see if that turns into a donut task.

True, but normally the Bonut Rounds didn’t start in the middle of the act, so I think in the end we got more or at least the same amount of Bonuts as in previous events 🙂
I hope the take-down update comes soon .. I have 3 daily tasks open and would line to switch them into 3 or 6 Donut Tasks at best 😁
