It’s nearly Fall in Springfield and of course, that means it’s time for Fall Harvest! Nothing says Fall Harvest quite like a good old County Fair! A nice relaxing way to slowing bring Springfield back to normal after the crazy music fest!
Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini event is similar to the previous mini-events (like Homer the Heretic and the Most Dangerous Game before it), in that you’ve got to complete various tasks to unlock the prizes.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all the farm inspired prizes…
Pride and Pageantry Intro

Make Homer Drink and Throw Empties Out the Window- 6s, Earns $35, 1xp
Make Flanders Do Normal Gardening Work Like a Sucker- 6s, Earns $35, 1xp
Once this is complete it’ll trigger the event content, prize track and questline….

Once the Cheddarbarrel Farm is placed and built you’ll be able to construct Corn Fields, Wheat Fields and Plowed Fields for designs in Springfield….
And that’s it my friends! All there is to the County Fair mini event main questline. Little Miss Springfield Lisa does have an additional questline, but we’ll cover that in her rundown post.

Hmmm….I seem to have reached a limit with my Cheddarbarrel Farm. I can’t buy any new cornfields or anything else from it. I’ve got six corn blocks, a few wheatfields and plowed fields, but no option to buy more. Dangit!
The infinite loop is fixed, but how do I buy more corn fields, wheat field, plowed fields? I don’t see them in the store, under the Event or in the Nature area. Is this another bug, or are they there and I just missed them?

Same issue with farm convo on loop
Anyone get stuck on the last quest dialog? I placed the farm and the dialog with Lisa, the mayor, and Moe continues to repeat. Tried a cache, then data, then reinstall with the same results. Will check again in 4 hours after the farm has built to see if that helps. But game is stuck in that dialog loop and isn’t playable (Android)

I was in the process of making a corn field (my first), app did an update this afternoon and now my missions are gone. Never got the chance to make Lisa hide from the mob, or have springfielders search cornfield. What gives?

Children of the Corn Fields!
Has anyone else noticed that if you are close to completing the ribbons that we loose any extra ribbons! Started staggering the ribbon quests but just went overtime (due to my trying to score 1 of the 50 available never ending pasta passes from O.G along with an all inclusive trip to Italy for $200 bucks) and lost 37 ribbons! Dang you pasta, I knew you would ruin me someday!
I have a problem with part 1 when I sent Springfielders to compare crops, I sent all available Springfielders and every time I try to collect from it my iPod crashes and it does not collect so I have all my Springfielders stuck in a building I can’t store to free them. Anyone got any advice or tips?
Uninstall and reinstall TSTO, that should help the crashing. Sounds like it’s a bad file when it downloaded. (make sure you have your game linked to a EA/Origin account before uninstalling)
Thanks Alissa, I freed the characters from the Simpson House by freeing up some storage on my device and storing some NPCs. I do have an origin account so maybe uninstalling and reinstalling might help the crashing because it only happens when I send ALL the Springfielders on the send Springfielders jobs.
I really like this event and prizes!! It gives a nice down home country feel to Springfield! I found my corn stalks and pumpkin patches from the insanity caldron prizes and put those out… and I found the chicken coop from the voodoo event with all those items. Makes it real! I think they should sell corn stalks and pumpkin patches for those without the insanity caldron prize option who want to build their farm area.
This Fair stuff looks like it would be a good fit with either my farms (Cletus’ and Simpsons’), or the Old West area. Unfortunately, there is no room, and redesigning seems like a lot of work… Plus, it always leaves oddly shaped holes in my town, and somehow there is never anything that fits in there properly. Can’t decide what to do!
Oddly shaped holes happen in real towns for the same reason. Consider filling part of it with a community garden to leave a more regularly shaped space.
That might be the best idea yet. There never seems to be enough space to do something bigger, but one or two buildings with a lot of plants around them might work.
Just visited Krustyland for a daily task and was awarded some doughnuts from Lenny because of some Grammy link!
It’s actually the Emmy’s, not Grammy’s. The Simpsons were nominated for more Emmy’s this year, so they are celebrating by giving us doughnoughts (donuts).
Wait, is that why they’re called Donuts? Because they’re made of dough and shaped like naughts (zeros)?
