It’s nearly Fall in Springfield and of course, that means it’s time for Fall Harvest! Nothing says Fall Harvest quite like a good old County Fair! A nice relaxing way to slowing bring Springfield back to normal after the crazy music fest! But of course a new event, no matter how small, means our stores are now jam-packed with premium items just tempting us to drop our sprinkles on!
Of course with that limited-time label, it can be tempting to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Mary Spuckler and the Springfield Opry House to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this great love of Bart Simpson to your town…

Pros
-Opry is animated when in use, lights inside flash blue and yellow
-Mary earns Ribbons for the County Fair Event (15/3hrs)
-Mary will use the Opry House for her tasks
-Popularly requested character
-Mary comes with her own questline
Cons
-Pricey for a character/building combo, even if it is Mary Spuckler..it’s still expensive
-Not voiced (not a surprise, but still)
Final Thought
Premium:
Buy her. While not the best deal, premium players can afford to spend the extra on Mary. She’s a classic and Bart’s greatest love, how could you not add her to Springfield?
Freemium:
This one is a tossup. Great character, in terms of how she was on the show, but pricey for the combo. Of the 2 Premium characters with this event, Mary takes highest priority to me. So if you’re thinking about getting her, grab her.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell you I’ve already picked her up. Too classic not to. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before he leaves our games for good (or for now). Plus Mary is a character that’ll help with the event, so the sooner you get her (if you’re planning on it) the better. So try to make your final decision before this weekend, so that she can provide the most help for this event.

Mary Spuckler and the Springfield Opry House is the ONLY interest I have from this event (yeah she’s not voiced, but so are 70% of the Characters in this game app – most of the New Characters haven’t been voiced since the Casino Event) …. I have a feeling most of what I earned is going into Storage ’til I find space for it (bring on Halloween)
That is such a good deal! You can send nearly all Springfielders on a 4h task and they all go into the opry house. You’re so much faster with collecting and restarting!
I definitely would buy it, if you’re a player who plays a lot of 4h tasks. 🙂

Doesn’t work, the rest of the town only uses the building once durring the quest after that Mary is the only one who uses the building
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work actually. The only disadvantage is that you MUST NOT send Mary to Manage opening Night. Alternatively you can just NOT send Cletus to Opening Night. So long as at least one of those two tasks remains undone you should be able to keep sending people there even using the unemployment office. It works for the She-She Lounge anyway.
I should have noted that this means that you WILL NOT complete the quest line obviously. You will be on the first part of the quest until you send both Mary & Cletus on their respective tasks and move on to the next part. Which will of course remove the 4 hour task at the Opry House ending the one stop tap convenience of having everyone in one place.

Yeah, this is the first time they have offered Mary. It is also the first time they have offered Amber as well. Just keep in mind the next THOH update is around the corner so you may want to watch your donuts to make sure you have enough.
I’m reading a lot of comments about people getting Astronaut Barney. I passed the first time but would like to get him now. He’s not being offered in my store. Any reason why? I’ve checked everywhere and he’s 100% not there. Really gutted….💜X

I’m so torn. I really want to save those donuts for Halloween! I’m not worried about Ribbons either. If only there was a bonus % somewhere so I could really justify it. I’ll probably pick her up later today.
Do you think Mary will be added to the kids group so she can watch a movie or go on a field trip to Cypress creek?
This was a no brainer, but then I buy all limited time characters. 🙂 Another possible positive is Amber and Mary may help the Halloween event, but I know this is too risky a justification for newer fremium players. It’d be great if they already designed Halloween costumes for them, but I’m probably just dreaming. 😊
Glad I spent this weekend donut farming for Hallowe’en, picked up Mary and Amber right away! Will have to build up the bank so I can farm again.
I’m on team Amber instead of team Mary. Any character from the first 10 seasons, no matter how big of a role they had, gets precedence over newer season characters.

I’m REALLY not doing a good job saving for Halloween. Passed on Mary this time, Barney and Astronaut Barney is enough for me. And you never know; BGM, Leon, Mary etc might return for Black Friday, or for amazing rebates, so I’m just taking the risk.. Come on Black Friday, don’t let me down!!
So tempted to get her, but that would lower my donut count to 5, and with THOT around the corner, will have to resist for now and hope she’s offered again later (hopefully with a rebate).
