It’s nearly Fall in Springfield and of course, that means it’s time for Fall Harvest! Nothing says Fall Harvest quite like a good old County Fair! A nice relaxing way to slowing bring Springfield back to normal after the crazy music fest! But of course a new event, no matter how small, means our stores are now jam-packed with premium items just tempting us to drop our sprinkles on!
Of course with that limited-time label, it can be tempting to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Amber Dempsey and the Ye Olde Off-Ramp Inn to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this beauty to your town…

Pros
-Inn is animated when in use
-Amber earns Ribbons for the County Fair Event (15/3hrs)
-Amber will use the Inn for all of her indoor tasks
-Amber comes with a full questline
-A couple of fun animated tasks (8 and 12hrs)
Cons
-Pricey for a character/building combo
-Not voiced (not a surprise, but still)
-Off-Ramp Inn has a very large footprint, 12×12, and can be hard to fit into Springfield
Final Thought
Premium:
Premium toss up. Classic character, but expensive. Between her and Mary I’d rather have Mary, but if you have the donuts you may want to grab Amber too (I did). She helps with the event and comes with the Off-Ramp Inn…a requested building on the Bracket Battle.
Freemium:
Meh. Given the choice between Amber and Mary, I’d pick Mary. I’d pass on Amber and save your donuts for Halloween…
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell you I’ve already picked her up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before he leaves our games for good (or for now). Plus Amber is a character that’ll help with the event, so the sooner you get her (if you’re planning on it) the better. So try to make your final decision before this weekend, so that she can provide the most help for this event.

All you lovely people who have pulled the trigger on Amber? Will I regret passing on her and saving the rest of my donuts for halloween? I have enough to get her now but it would knock me down to less than 100 and not much time (presumably) before that event is upon us to restock and no funds to buy any until after Christmas.
I’ve already finished the prize track so her extra earning isn’t an issue there. Thoughts?

Tuxedo Krusty is back to having both his usual 12- and 24-hour jobs.
I passed on her. Too expensive for my liking. She will return on rebate like most items do or in the mystery boxes.

I was torn about this one. I really wish I could know what was coming for Halloween to see what it has to offer that I might grab over this. Mary was a no-brainer to buy, but this was a toss-up. In the end I took the gamble to grab and hope it doesn’t cost me anything too awesome from the Halloween event.

On one of my games I have to play the harvest thing and on my other I have the harvest and heretic homer.
What’s up with that?
If you haven’t completed a mini event, Deep Space Homer, Heretic, Rosewood, or Chilliad, you get this time to complete it. Based on what my friends have in their towns, I think it’s just them four, and you have to complete the first one to get the next. All the items being sold in that mini event will return if you didn’t complete it. 🙂
How weird! I didn’t know about that (because I already did those events originally), but, for some of them, I wasn’t yet “donut comfortable” when I originally played them, so I may have passed on some premium items that I would like to have the option again of buying now. I wonder whether they’ll have some kind of sale for those of us who played these events before?
They have all classic events going. Homer the hetrioc, Crooks and Ladders, Space Coyote and some others
That is awesome that new players get to play the previous mini events. That way they don’t have to use donuts to get some of the prizes long time players got for free.
Another character that has all their indoor tasks at the same location (like Mary, Jay-G and Grady). Not even a brown house or kwik e mart task. Oh well, still going to buy her – love the building and the episode she is from.
I actually prefer that they animate a new building, rather than just joining the crowds at the brown house or Kwik-E-Mart!
Got Mary but not buying anything else until Halloween.
