Springfield Showoff: County Fair

As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.

The Fair has come and the Fair has gone…the County Fair is over in Springfield.  Time to move onto the next thing…Halloween will be here before you know it!

So now that the Fair is over, I thought it would be a good time for another Springfield Showoff!  This time featuring your County Fair/Farm inspired designs, as it can always be a little intimidating and frustrating trying to figure out just where to put all this stuff…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? Once again we’ve used a Gallery to display your images. This allows us to get all of your images displayed, and showoff your hard work!  Simply tap the images below to be taken to the slideshow.  The name of the creator will be listed at bottom of each pic. (and as always they’re in alphabetical order)

  1. I’m struggling for space and just can’t design anymore until they release a huge block of land instead of 1 strip at a time.

  2. Got some great ideas of how to move and place some things just not feeling right. Love this game. Thanks all!

  3. My best designs recently made:

  4. A lot of great designs here. Ebron great job as always neighbor. YourIVB99, loved your complete farm. Looks incredible. 70457, loved the way your brought in some of the other things in the game to your fair.

  5. I loved that there were so many people who made fair grounds. Awesome! Nice farms as well. Gamblor84 I liked how you incorporated the turkey machine into your design. OrinTeach I laughed at seeing the crowd watching Homer play in the beer, so funny!

    • Loved the way you tied in the old Chili cookoff stuff into your fair area. I considered doing the same thing but couldnt make it work. You pulled it off nicely.

      • You are too kind, thank you! Ever since the chili cook off I’ve been slowly adding to my fair grounds, so this lasted event was the icing on the cake.

        • Yes, the chili items worked well as did the Krustyburger van. I may expand my fair slightly as a result. 🙂

          • I really want the Krustyburger van…seen it in my neighbor’s town and get envious each time…hope it shows up again soon.🤡

          • I had a hard time finding the right spot for for the Krustyburger van , nothing seemed to make sense until the chili cook-off stuff came along.

          • @ebron It would be wonderful if EA could release past items every so often. There are a bunch of stuff that I wasn’t around for or didn’t have the donuts at the time. Top of my list is the guinea pig/rescue.

  6. Good job everyone! Yesterday flew by and I missed my chance to send in my design. Time to start cleaning out some of the clutter in my town, bring on Halloween! 🎃

  7. Nice work folks! Wish I wasn’t saving my donuts to buy the Springfield coliseum and got that harvester!

  8. Still working on my corn maze.. anyone have any suggestions?

  10. Thanks for sharing, everyone! Great stuff!
This time around I was actually ready in time, took the screenshots and everything – and then I went on a 10 day vacation and forgot to send it in…

  11. Wooohooo! Some great looking farms there! Great work everyone!

  12. OK I didn’t manage to get an entry done, but ermagerd…..that effect using the plowed field behind the combine…love it! Thanks for the ideas!

  13. Darn it I forgot!

Great designs everyone. I love how we all use the same stuff but use it in completely different ways.

What I’d like to see further down the line is some designs using the corn for a maze or a crop circle/square once we have hadctime to make enough of it 🙂
