Season Premiere season is here! And it’s time for our favorite yellow family to return to the small screen! Woohoo! After 4 months off…the wait is almost over…The Simpsons Season 29 Premiere airs this Sunday! And of course to celebrate (and get us hyped up) EA dropped a little Season Premiere Episode tie-in in our games. And of course, that means…new premium content in our stores tempting us to spend our sprinkles!
Of course with that limited-time label, it can be tempting to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Treestache’s Grove to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Tree’s Lair to your town…

Earns: 1% Bonus on all cash and XP

Where Can I Place It?: grass|pavement|dirt|beach

Pros
-Comes with the Treestache Character (only item in the Serfsons character collection)
-Comes with a short 2 part questline for Homer
-Treestache is animated when tapped
-Treestache’s Grove is always animated (birds fly around)
Cons
-Treestache is an NPC (although some of you may see that as a pro)
-Bonus % isn’t great for donuts spent (Although it’s a decoration +NPC)
Final Thought
Premium:
It’s not bad. If you like it, pick it up. Reasonably priced for NPC + decoration. So if you like it grab it, otherwise pass.
Freemium:
It’s a fun item, for sure, but if you’re low on donuts this may be something you want to hold off on it. At the end of the day, it’s just a decoration and NPC. Usually, full character/buildings take higher priority for freemium donuts. Plus Halloween is coming….
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell you I’ll likely pass on this one. Not a huge fan. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

I just bought him and can’t enchant or capture him. Also I can no longer open the event menu; I think there is some kind of glitch 🙁 Hope they will fix it soon.
I have the same problem. Wish I hadn’t bought treestache. My event menu won’t work any more
Seems to be broken right now. Enchant/Capture menu won’t open after placing, mine came back after sending all characters on 4 hour jobs, but Treestache disappeared from enchant/capture choices (only 6 characters available). Treestache not doing a job, of course, as NPC.
Ok let me amend this. Finish the two-part quest line and everything should go back to normal.
I have the same problem too – what a waste of 60 donuts. Is there a fix available?
Whilst not getting something that you’ve paid for is annoying, losing the event menu is much worse!! I don’t fancy doing a re-install as the 1GB of updates that take an hour, and only when you have wi-if is equally annoying!!
Can you post images of the decorations Treestash unlocks after he has been enchanted? That would really help me decide if I want to purchase him or not.

I’ve said it a few times, including on the decorations post…he unlocks trees and shrubs you can purchase for in-game cash all the time in your store. I wouldn’t spend the donuts on him for his decorations.
you can also sell his decorations who gives xp when placed there is 3 differents trees 1 shrubs and 1 small island all for tree hugging : )
Treestache is no longer an enchantable beast, what gives? Is this a glitch?
That’s weird. I just Released him under an hour ago. Odd that they would cancel his Capturing and Enchanting ability, when some of us can still Release him.
It says treestache unlocks new decorations. Are they the same one unlocked by Wiggpops, does anyone know?

What trees and shrubs, exactly? I checked and nothing seems new to me. 🙁
I think you have to enchant him first, just like Wiggpops.
Also, he now is a monster to capture for the THOH 2017!
Treestache shows up in the Town Census! Maybe he will get some jobs AFTER the show airs!
That’s what I’m hoping/expecting.
This would be great, but Rosa the robot showed up in the census, and she never got jobs.

I would have preferred it if the Ent guy was another decoration that could go in my forest, or maybe by the magic tree I got last winter event. A wandering NPC? Pass.
Got the Tree Grove but I’m a sucker for animated Trees , TreeBeard , The Tree with the face on GOT , 2 vintage Marx Kooky spooky whistling trees, Groot , Even the tree from poltergeist was cool :p

Just HAD to get this little grove for my Tree City USA Springfield! I am playing on the cheap and ought to be saving my donuts for Halloween. But this is a fun little character that fits great with my town. The animation is well above average; he looks like he’s giggling at being tickled. No regrets. Thank you, Alissa & Addicts. I hope you know how much we appreciate you!!!
The bonus % isn’t great but I like the grove. Should work nicely in my nature area.
This event and one store item popped up out of the blue around 24 hours ago, so it’s a job well done to have the event alert and a walkthrough, together with an SIB for the NPC – and a bonus that there’s a post on the stuff added overnight (yet t read, sure it’ll be great as per)
Anyhoo, this is me saying thanks for the hard work, and maybe get lightly oiled with a glass of your favourite tipple later, you deserve it.
I got it for the nice nature look (had crossed fingers that the tree would be at least a semi playable character, but alas no).
I too want a LOTR event…each act may be a movie though. We’ll see.
Act 1 LOTR-esque, Act 2 Harry Potter-esque, etc.
Oh, man, I’m having a hard time deciding between this (trees! nature! ents!) and the Magic Station (magic! HP! another station!). I could get both, but I want to keep enough donuts for at least one premium item from the coming THoH.

I have seen s couple of comments from readers on the last few posts about returning content from mini-events, like the chili contest, but I’m not seeing these in my game. Am I missing something? Thanks for all you do, this site has proven a valuable resource.

I thought about it for a minute, but it appears as though my Springfield has a Chiliad mini-event going on and I HAD to get the coyote. I missed him last time because I had taken a break from TSTO.
Like many others I was debating and then more monorail things popped up!
I was considering after building up some kem bonuts but the Magic Station promo got my donuts instead. No need for Alyssa to post much on that. Donut rebates = buy it if you like it. As cool as this item is, I went with the mechanical ants and Jesse Grass.
When you bought the magic monorail, did you get the additional platforms as well like with the others?
It comes with track…but I didn’t see any of the other parts. But is pretty inexpensive by comparison. I bought both monorail offerings…as I didn’t have Krusty’s yet, either. Major Monorail remodel coming!

People can be SO brave hiding behind a user name. I think Alissa does a great job (along with everone else who writes for TSTOA) compiling and posting tons of information, all while spending prescious donuts to get that info in a timely fashion. Those that read here regularly greatly appreciate all the hard work that goes into keeping a site like this up and running, those that don’t….to put it nicely, it’s a big web, world wide I’m told, I’m sure there’s somwhere else that you can post your helpful insights.

I think it’s safe to say that the overwhelming majority of Addicts greatly appreciate the time and effort all of you put into this site. And how much am I paying on a daily basis for you to provide me with all of this great info and a community to boot? Oh, that’s right, nothing! You seem to have a great perspective on not letting other people’s stink become your stink, if that makes any sense, but I imagine it has to be pretty difficult sometimes. Wow that is not how I took her reply at all. I go to this site daily and I believe that Alissa, Wookiee, Bunny, Patric and now Safi have shown more patience and put in more effort than I would have and I would have quit long ago. The amount of information I have received from this site is invaluable. I have played for almost 5 years and Alissa and Co. have been along the ride with me for the whole time and they have never been anything but pleasant and courteous, even to those who don’t really deserve it.. They have shown me easter eggs, KEM farming, given me inspiration for my town design etc etc.

There have been a few replies to about NPC already (I knew what it meant from my MMO days… whoops… :^) massively multiplayer online games), so I will not add yet another. I’ve seen other abbreviations/acronyms for Tapped Out that I sometimes have to dig around for, and often go “oh yeah, duh”. However, to save time, is there a place/guide/list/pointer for such things (abbreviations/acronyms, etc.) in Addicts? Silly question?
The teaser on the Magic Station is the only thing that has truly piqued my interest. Someone will bite and tell us what magic happens.
The ants should be a decent sales price, based on the older SIB.
BUT……
IMHO, EA is throwing a lot of appetizers at us when the Steak and Lobster of the main course and dessert bar of Halloween is coming around the corner.

I got suckered into buying this for the same reason. I would be happy with a LOTR themed event. I also have my drive in playing Bored of the Things all the time.
