Fall has arrived and there’s a haze over our Springfield’s, that can only mean one thing….it’s Halloween in our pocket-sized towns! This year EA’s thrown a little magic into the mix, with an Angelica Button theme invading our towns. An all new event means loads of new premium items in our stores just tempting us to drop those donuts while they’re hot!
Of course with that limited-time label, it can be tempting to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Angelica Button and the Magic Academy Library to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Wizarding Wonder to your town…

Pros
-Angelica Button has a full set of tasks and comes with a questline (which you can wait to do)
-Wizard for Beast battles. Clears/fills 1 full mana at a time.
-Magic Library is animated when in use, lights turn on books fly
-Angelica Button is voiced
Cons
-Pricey for a character/building combo (although this is starting to feel like the new norm in price)
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
If you’re going to buy a character/building combo for the event this is the one to get. Main character the event revolves around, she’s voiced, helps with Beast battles & comes with a full set of tasks. Not a must buy, but not a bad one. (although you certainly do not need her to complete the event)
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell you I’ve already picked her up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now). Also, this is one of those items that helps with the event. So if you’re picking it up grab it sooner rather than later, so it can help you the most. So if you’re planning on picking it up I’d do so by this weekend.

I have bought her but now need Lisa for her questline but also need Lisa to battle Montymort (together with Greystache, Bart and Unicorn) while Milhouse battles Barfy. Should I pull Lisa from the battle in favor of Angelica’s questline or wait until one of the battles is over so that Lisa would be available?
I want as many event currency as possible to buy as many red walls as possible, what would you recommend? 🙂
It takes a while to unlock Lord Montymort, so focus on that, as it will give you a whole new character. But you’ll have periods when you send beasts to battle Lord Montymort. That’s when you can have Lisa do Angelica’s questline.

Alissa & Safi, I know you dont post spoilers, but can you please advise if Wizard Martin will battle/enchant beasts during ALL 3 Acts?
I suspect Angelica Button will help in all 3 Acts (like BGM did in Homerpalooza) but Im not sure about Wizard Martin’s helpfulness …….. If you can tell me he’s helpful in ALL 3 Acts, I’ll buy him (and not Angelica) simply because his purchase price is less
I can’t. I can only tell you I’m operating under the assumption that he will. (and that has nothing to do with a won’t issue, I actually can’t tell you..i don’t know. I can only assume he will)
Also, he’s available for the whole event…so that indicates my assumption is correct 🙂
While not very excited about Angelica Button, it would be strange to have the other items from the event and not have her. I usually have trouble making it to the final prize of the acts so another premium character to capture and enchant definitely helps. I wish the brick from the library matched the brick of the school better, but I’ll make it work. Sometimes I feel like EA is mocking me by releasing the various towers, ruins, lairs, castles, roads, walls etc. in all different colors and textures just to vex me and my matching neuroses. It doesn’t really bother me about all the crafting repeats so I can focus on the walls, gates and dormitory for my magic campus. At least Caveman Moe’s bar and Lewd’s Lair go well together.
I’m about to finish capturing Kearneymon so I need to remember to check out her voice before sending her out again.
When I saw the Angelica Button teaser I went back and watched the episodes that she appears in and was unenthused even though I like the Potter movies a lot. So since I had low expectations going in, I’m pleasantly surprised and happy its low maintenance. Happy Tapping everyone.
For her quest line you occasionally get wands, not sure if I should finish it or wait and hope the currency changes if I need it later.
Yas! A girl that is voiced! and she is a central character, pretty happy about this. 🙂
If I earn lots of Bonuts during Act 1? Chances are I will pick up Angelica Button and the Magic Academy Library (I 💜 both glad she is a voiced Character)
I’m not impressed at all with most of Act 1 Prizes – I’d rather have less prizes as in 1 Building + 1 Character + 1 Interactive Decor vs some things (like NPC’s)-that will go right into storage 👎
I 💜 the Wizards vs Monster Battles (except for the 4 Hour grind). I hope EA unlocks more Springfield Kids to become Wizards (we have a permanent task to send All Kids to the Wizard Academy, so why aren’t they Wizards we can use now?) Remember when we could use more Springfield Characters during a Halloween Event? (to trick-or-treat, tell ghost stories, or roam around affected by zombies?) Yeah, that’s what we’re missing this year
We’re encouraged to collect Monster Snot to be used in Crafting – but certain Buildings and Decor from prior Halloween long time Tappers can’t Craft (EPIC FAIL EA! now those who have played this game app for so long have no initiative to even Craft, unless it’s related to The Wizarding Academy – i.e. Gate + Walls) 👎
This is a cute Event for November, but it’s a shame that Treehouse of Horror isn’t being used by EA this year (now I wonder if this Event would’ve been better off not beginning until after this Season’s THOH aired?) 🤔
I am glad that I do not have to craft those things and can concentrate on walls and gates!

I’m surpised/disappointed that she is an expensive premium character. She is the lead character of the story for this update. It would have made sense to make her available for free at the start or maybe even as the final prize in the act I prize track. The wizard unicorn would have made more sense as a premium character.
Regardless, I got her. But ever since the EA update that forced us to restrict our carbohydrates intake to 1000 donuts every few days my KEM farming has barely been able to keep up with the rising prices in the game though. Not sure if I’ll be able to buy it all for this event, even though I bought the donut/svt peasant deal. I am a completionist so it’s worrysome… 😅
I’m very confused by your post…you say that only being able to earn a thousand donuts every few days is putting a crimp in your game, but yet you don’t have enough donuts to buy everything you want from this event so far? I had almost nothing from the mystery box selection (i think I started out this event with asst least 8 items in there, and I calculated that, to buy every event item released so far during this event (not including the stupid license or permit or whatever they’re calling out in this event), it would cost about 1,000 donuts (give or take a hundred or two). So, if you can earn 1,000 donuts we’ve few days, what’s the problem? Just buy the shortest-time items that you want first and you should have no problems getting everything.

There is no restriction on donuts. There was, but it only lasted a few days. And if you are making a 1000 donuts every few days, why do you even care what stuff costs?
I was unclear and you took the post too seriously. 😋 I am definitely not making 1000 donuts every few days. I do occasional KEM farming, about once every three months or so and getting around 600 a day during that time. Used to be three day runs but during the restriction I lost some donuts which was disappointing. Glad to find out it’s been fixed.
Just curious, how many KEMs do you need to have to get 600 donuts a day?
Well, I know for me, at ~780% Multiplier, plus the hidden SH, ~45 KEM yields 4 – 5 Bonut rounds (12 to 15 donuts as I buy to get 3 donuts) every 4 hours. Plus every 8 hours I get a round from my 230+ characters.
Roughly 60+ per day
Must be a large Multiplier (or a large wallet)?
After reading all the positive reviews, i would like to have her but I don’t have enough donuts to get angelica button. Just enough for a wizard Martin. I have lots of homework and chores and not enough tapping time. Should i settle for martin instead? Or should i just wait until i get the unicorn wizard to help with capturing beasts? What to do? What to do?

I bought her first day and lost her same day I hope EA will help I sent them a email I put her on cleaning and poof she was gone

Had to have her and the library! I always play with my sound off so I haven’t heard her voice yet- excited to listen! Might save my donuts for the next act. Might get Wiggops… I’m still undecided on that one.
I’m short on donuts, but bought her right away. I’m glad I did. She helps with the event, she talks, and I like the library. If you’re on the fence, I would say get her.
Off-topic question/problem for Safi:
Now that the rail yard is always available, at what level of bonus percentage is a player better off just ignoring the rail yard? Let’s assume I have the XP Collider always on, all Springfield Heights buildings, check in to play the game every 4h (5x daily) and have premium skins available for all the workers involved.
Got her to help with the event. Working hard on the railyard for 10 bonuts per day.
You can can compete two rounds of rail yard a day?!? How is that possible? How many hours a day do you play?

When writing a Magic themed Event idea, a while back, I watched loads of magic themed episodes and it’s SO cool to see all of them (Angelica Button and other items that I didn’t want to spoil!!) hitting the games so a very thankful tapper 😊

The voice is… marvellous 😀 Didn’t understand her fully due to her lisp. But the accent makes me giggle.
Got this right away. She’s the Harry Potter of the event. Saving the rest of my donuts for now.

picked her up as soon as i saw her, was waiting for Halloween to spend my donuts and this was a no brainer. Love her voice and sayings. Thought this was a good buy 🙂
