Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Fall has arrived and there’s a haze over our Springfield’s, that can only mean one thing….it’s Halloween in our pocket-sized towns! This year EA’s thrown a little magic into the mix, with an Angelica Button theme invading our towns. We’ve got beasts to battle, creatures to capture, wizards to wand wave and goblin gold to gather! Quite a few alliteration altercations huh?
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the first act, you’re tasked with collecting Wands (
) to unlock each prize!
The sixth Act 1 Prize awarded at 7,600 is the Music Automation, because every town need someone playing a super tiny piano?
So let’s take a closer look at this sixth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 7,600 you’ll automatically be awarded the Music Automation and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place the music in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it later.
Once placed it does come with a little bit of dialogue….

At least this is something than can fit in a number of places (unlike the myPod thingy, which can only fit in inventory). Looks like he might fit in with the turban shop. Or the other automatons. Or with the music stuff.
For now he sits in front of the beastiarium and tries to draw in punters, but I will definitely start moving him around to find the best spot for him.

yay! got my unicorn. i need the “questy” lines; 1st task is 8hrs with $$ payout. xP. it says pt 1 so i’m thinking there is a quest line with event currency payout …. should i wait to do this quest until Act2? or wait until the event is over.

I do agree with some people that the Act 1 prizes are disappointing but some of last years Halloween prizes were not that great either (the buildings and characters were ok) . it is probably because most of this acts prizes are decorations and I hope in Act 2 that there are some (or at least 1) freemium buildings on offer in the next act so that the prizes can be a bit better.
the one thing i find funny is all the people complaining that this isn’t Halloween would be the same ones complaining that the need to do something different if it was just a regular Halloween event.
i agree totally Sharksman. you can only please some of the people all of the time or all of the people some of the time, but you just can’t please all of the people all of the time.
This is one of the items that I wish you could craft and have as many as you like.

I finished act 1 in both games yesterday, I do have Angelica Button in both games (really like her) I am happy with the style of the event but very underwhelmed with the prizes, all the retread crafting items are a huge disappointment. I am hoping act 2 gets better. The payout is awfully slow I am only going to get 1 round of bonuts
This one I was so debating if to store it since I didn’t see how it would fit in much of anywhere other than maybe with the academy. But I went ahead and stuck it with my country/farming area for now. I have it sitting next to opry house. Other than getting wiggop I am done with with act 1 and waiting for act 2 to start on tuesday
I had really high hopes for this event. I love Harry Potter, and the fantasy genre in general. However, I finished the act a week ahead, barely trying, and only with one premium character. This event has been boring, the story, quests, actions, and prizes have been the epitome of meh. I think I’ll just go back to my regularly scheduled programming of 4-hour tasks, a small amount of KEM farming, just enough of 3 rounds of bonuts every 4 hours, and just hoping something changes with EA.
On a lighter note…I love the giant Lard Lad donut from Wiggops!
His decorations are some of my favorites. I purchased him just for those.
Is there a SIB regarding what craft prizes come with Treestache ?
As mentioned in this post here, Treestache just drops trees and shrubs that are already available in our stores.

Treestache also drops small islands, which are a 10-donut purchase item.
Enough time and repetitions will allow the building of an archipelago of crashed-plane islands.
The squashed squad car (say that ten times fast😄) got moved to a spot right next to the Rolling Rock…must have parked too close…oops😮.
Honestly, this decoration feels like it was supposed to have been a part of the Time Travel Toaster event, in the Pirate era. It fits in with the other automatons from that event a little too well, which makes me wonder if maybe one of the artists missed the deadline for it to be included in that event.
And than of course, with the plethora of returning decos that are scattered throughout this event, I guess they just just badly needed this additional deco to pad the list of “new” decos out a tiny bit…
This is from The Great Simpsina where Lisa gets trained by The Great Raymondo in the ways of magic so there is a magic connection. Although I admit this could have gone in the Time Travelling Toaster event as well.
I just finished act 1 prize 7 today and it’s my birthday too. I’m surprised that I managed to do it all early.

This goes so well with Fairy Gardens and the Royal Mypad, I can’t beleive how they really nailed the prizes for this event. OK back to reality, WHY? WHY/ WHY? This is not magical or fantastical why is this a prize? Get people’s OCD working for you, make the prizes form a scene or even interact with each other when placed side by side, that would make people really have to have them. To call this lame is an insult to the word lame.
I got this yesterday…how am I so far ahead?! I’m suspicious now haha
