Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So, something pretty cool happened over the weekend. Something that made me feel a little bit better about the Yankees leaving their bats in New York and having to listen to Joe Buck and John Smoltz drool all over freakin’ Zoolander and mini-me….not to mention the TERRIBLE baseball broadcasters. (sorry, I know many of you have no idea what I’m talking about, but consider those last few sentences my therapy until Opening Day 2018) But in the words of Patric, I digress….
Back to what I was originally saying…something pretty cool happened over the weekend. This site, in just over 4 years of existence, had our 100,000,000 hit! Yes, that’s right…100 Millionth hit!
How insane is that?
Big shoutout to Safi for noticing it, letting me know about it and grabbing the screenshots. I’ve been so busy I totally forgot all about it…
As I’ve said many, many, times in the past…if you would have asked me back in 2013 when we first started if we’d still be here doing this…or even if I thought TSTO would still be around I would have said not a chance in h-e double hockey sticks. And if you would have told the 2013 version we’d have 100,000,000 million hits 4 years later I likely would have had you committed to the Springfield Asylum. But wow…here we are. Still here, and getting blown away by the hits…
As has been well documented by us over the last 4+ years, back when we were first started in 2013 we were just a little blog. Happy with 1,000 hits a day and talking to the few people who commented on our site. We never imagined this site would blow up into what it is today…with 100,000,000 million hits (and counting), nearly half a million comments and nearly 5,000 posts! It certainly is crazy to think about it!
Maybe I’m the one that should be committed…
We’ve seen a lot over the years…faces come, faces go, faces come back…but we’ve stayed the course and here we are at a HUGE milestone!
And, if I’m being honest, a milestone that I told myself a while ago when we hit it would probably be time to stop blogging. Because when you’re doing a site like this, how do you know when it’s time to quit? Do you keep going forever? It does take A LOT of work to maintain this site. And I’m pretty sure y’all (and EA) have given me one or two gray hairs over the years. Is that effort and energy something I want to spend forever?
Plus, I’m someone that needs goals, something to push towards…and so far in the blogging world I’ve hit every goal I set.
So I kind of chuckled when I told my husband we hit 100 million and he asked if it was time to stop now.
Then when I texted Patric with the number, he asked if I was going to retire now.
I chuckled because shortly before I told either one of them, I texted Wook. The one who’s been here with me from the start, who knows all about the ups and downs we’ve had…and told him “I guess it’s not time to quit, huh?”
So we’re still here. And we’ll still be here. Just like we always have.
I love this community and thank y’all from the bottom of my heart for making TSTO Addicts what it is today! Here’s to 100 million more!

CONGRATULATIONS! I simply love everything about this site–from the ever-changing banner at the top (which now incorporates Miss Riley and Super Safi), to the practical here’s-what-you-need-to-know-about-this-event/game advice, to how the game ties in to the show, to the rantings of a cranky old guy, to the newest statistical posts to the comments from my fellow addicts. Each post adds value in its own way, and as many have said before me, this site enhances my enjoyment of the game to the point where–again, as many have said before me–I might not still be playing if this site didn’t exist. (No pressure, right?) I am so appreciative of the massive amount of time it takes to keep this site up and running and relevant, and I couldn’t be more grateful to Alissa, Wookiee, Patric and Safi for your continued dedication and overall awesomeness. THANK YOU!

Congratulations on reaching this milestone! Long may this site go on! Over the years, it has been an integral part of my own TSTO experience, and some days I spend more time on this blog than playing the game. It is also one of the few internet sites I visit daily. Well done!
That was cruel towards the end, making me think you were announcing your retirement from the site (horrors!!!) or the retirement of the site altogether (double horrors!!!!!), because I know you’re the glue that holds it together.
Congratulations on this major milestone…given what you built here, I can’t say I’m surprised. (I will say I’m surprised the number of comments isn’t *higher* – I figure I’ve probably left about 10,000 of them myself! 😜)
