Fall has arrived and there’s a haze over our Springfield’s, that can only mean one thing….it’s Halloween in our pocket-sized towns! This year EA’s thrown a little magic into the mix, with an Angelica Button theme invading our towns. An all new event means loads of new premium items in our stores just tempting us to drop those donuts while they’re hot!
Of course with that limited-time label, it can be tempting to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Elf Hotel to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Elfish spot to your town…

Pros
-Comes with dialogue and a short questline
-Animated when in use, the door opens and “magic dust” blows out. Also, it’s always animated in the water…always running out front.
-CBG has a permanent 4hr task there, to Overpay for a Novelty Stay (Earns $260, 70cp)
-Fun, unique looking building for Springfield.
Cons
-No benefit for the event
-It’s just a building (one with a premium task for a character, but still just a building)
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
It’s not bad. Price is ok, comes with a premium 4hr task for a freemium character (handy for many of you who use the 4hr cycles) and it has a fun look. If you like it, get it. Otherwise, pass.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I’ll probably be picking it up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

CBG: A themed hotel? For the role player with expendable income, the website suggests a three-night all-inclusive package. Well, one can’t roleplay an impoverish tavern without paying a pretty penny. I’ll collect tavern dregs and Starwood Points at the same time.

I love all the stuff that’s being offered. All I hear is complain, complain, complain. I think it’s very Halloweeny. I love the THTO episode that to me it seemes based upon. The new buildings look great. So many design possibilities. I really hope Christmas is non traditional again. Offer the reindeer and snowmen and nativity scene again. My Halloween and Christmas areas already have all the “traditional” things I can think of. Keep mixing it up.
4h cycle is the best when you have more than 15 characters to manage… It was even more useful before the introduction of the Office of unemployment, the search function in the City Hall and the character icon in the top left corner… Since sending them one by one in 1h tasks took longer until you find them all and you had to do it every hour. Man, how did we even survived without these functions?

I love love love this building. Honestly, I like it so much, it redeems the entire event for me. I know, that sounds crazy, but it is true. I need more items to fill out my forest areas – and this is perfect. LOVE IT. Love it.
I thought this was very cute, so I got it for the forest area. It’s near the huge tree fort and sawmill. (Now, what to do with the rock’n’roll cabin it displaced?)
As others have said, I am not spending any donuts on stand alone buildings for this event. I am very disappointed in EA with all the glitches and the lack of THOH theme to this event. This would have been a fine event for Feb. – Sept. Maybe I am turning into a Cranky, but the more I play this event the more disappointed I am. I might spend some more on returning items but I really don’t need another large section of non-cannon Springfield.
I agree with you on this. I would like more regular Springfiled buildings. All of the fantasy and international and alien items are hard to make sense of if you want a cohesive town.
I try to make something funny out those things. I have a drag race strip with a brick wall at the end and an obstacle bowling 🎳 alley

I’m one of many with an opinion against this Event’s Theme (this isn’t Treehouse of Horror!)
I’d rather save my 🍩 ‘s for returning Halloween stuff from prior years (and so far? EA has disappointed me by not offering much, so I’m not spending 💰 !)

Guys, it may not be the best thread for this, but I’m having a problem with the Great Raymondo. Two or even three days ago, I sent him to Perform the Great Milk Can Escape (8 hrs), and made all my Springfield kids Watch Performance (4 hrs). These tasks have been finished for a long time, but every time I as much as try to approach the Great Raymondo’s house to free all the characters, the game simply closes. I’ve tried to log out and log in again, but nothing works. I’m stuck. :-/ Any ideas?
Not sure if these ideas will work as I did not purchase this item.
But I have 2 ideas:
can you store the Great Raymondo? (not the building) but just the character himself.
If you can it should store the building as well.
Unless his task is also near or in his house…
However, if you do this, I don’t think it will register that you completed your tasks but I guess it is better than not being able to approach the house at all.
Or go to town Hall, click on 1 of the characters who is ‘watching the performance’ and click ‘go to’ hopefully it will take you there to the house without the game closing rather than trying to approach the house by scrolling to it yourself.

Hmmm, way too many buildings that some should have been craftables this event.
It was a nice idea but now it’s just send the ogre type characters out and that’s it. Hey ho! At least I can live in hope we could possibly get attack of the 50ft eyesores in the future of they want to go back to these sorts of big npcs! 😀

Anyone else disappointed that the Magick Shoppe is so small?
For me, it is a pass. Indolence for me it is always at 5 stars since destination springfield (just when i started). I preffer to spend donuts on outter bonuses (tree hugging is best for me, still can not get 4 stars despite my springfield being spammed with green stuff)
Regarding your tree hugging situation, different items are worth different points.
A couple of the highest point items include: Green peace boat, campfire, flowers and the rabbit hedge.

As an avid fan of Lords Of The Rings it is an instant buy for me.
Saving bonuts for Xmas! I will need some premiium characters for events if I am away and cannot log in as often as I would like. If Xmas hits beginning of December then I will need all the help I can get! So premium usually helps. Even if I am not a fan of the characters! I have 381 bonuts! Working hard the railyard
