Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Fall has arrived and there’s a haze over our Springfield’s, that can only mean one thing….it’s Halloween in our pocket-sized towns! This year EA’s thrown a little magic into the mix, with an Angelica Button theme invading our towns. We’ve got beasts to battle, creatures to capture, wizards to wand wave and goblin gold to gather! Quite a few alliteration altercations huh?
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the second act, you’re tasked with collecting Fairy Dust (
) to unlock each prize!
The seventh Act 2 Prize awarded at 22,700 is Greystash, because every magical story needs an old grey haired wizard to show the little wizards the way….
So let’s take a closer look at this seventh prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 22,700 you’ll automatically be awarded the Greystash and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place Greystash in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it later. But I wouldn’t store it…he’ll help fight beasts for Act 3…
Once placed you’ll see his character unlock message appear…
And he’s part of the THOH XXVII Adults Character Collection…
Once placed Greystash also comes with a very short questline, here’s a look…

And yes, you can wait until the event is over to complete the questline..BUT it’s only 4parts and once you’ve unlocked Greystash you’ve finished the Act 2 prize track. So personally, I’d just finish his questline before Act 3 starts to clear it from your task book (it’s not like the questline earns event currency)
Greystash does come with a set of tasks, here’s a look…

Nothing. Just keep collecting those bonuts and wait until Act 3 starts on Halloween, October 31st.

When you post a new comment for a post you’re not ahead subscribed to, you should see options right below the comment box, one that you can choose if you want to receive emails for other comments in the same post and one if you want to subscribe to get emails when new posts are made. Just select what you want, submit your comment, and you should be good to go.
Greystash’ questline DOES earn eventcurrency (not much, but still…..)
Well…kinda…like I said “hardly.”
I don’t have enough Fairy Dust to unlock Greystash and Act 2 is up in about 12 hours – is it worth me using Donuts to buy him or will I still be able to earn Fairy Dust to buy him after the deadline?
He may be offered after…but as he doesn’t really contribute much to the earning, it’s your call.
Depends how much donuts you have to spend?
At the moment it would cost me 15 donuts. (The more fairy dust you earn, the less donuts you pay)
I will get him next time I collect fairy Dust which is plenty of time before the event ends.
Could you please confirm that EA’s files say that Angelica Button and her building will be available for approximately 15 days, until the end of the entire event? Can you see what will be released in act 3 or if EA will release during act 3 something that we could buy with donuts? I ask because I want to know every piece of this event in order to decide, if I buy Angelica or EA brings us something even better (Harry Potter related). 🙂
What can you see character wise for act 3?
Sorry. We do not post information about future updates. EA has a way of changing them at the last miunute.
So could it happen that a character that is advertised to be available for two weeks could be pulled by EA beforehand? Did that ever happen?
That isn’t likely. They tend to keep their word if it has to do with Premium characters.
You probably should go check one of the many spoiler sites that publish everything that’s expected to appear during the event (although EA does sometimes change their minds about things…). Just Google the event and you’ll find links to them.

Lol – I don’t think you’d want the pressure of having the only one. As much as I love that this is a relatively “spoiler-free” site, I think even I would be clamoring for a spoilers area if there weren’t other places to turn to on the occasions when I did want to see them. (Plus, you’d have to add a chat feature, like the UK site has, and absorb all of the obnoxiousness that occupies a portion of the EA forums.)
Noooooooooooooooooooooo! (runs screaming from the room). Good points. I know other sites exist…and I “go there” myself from time to time. We just don’t prognosticate…because it seems every time we do (like with the last two calendars) it ends up getting changed by EA, and I end up doing the work twice. Ergh!
Alright, so it’s unlikely that they pull Angelica Button because she’s advertised for the whole event and EA usually keeps their word regarding premium characters. Are their any files that you see that confirm the time we have to get her that is advertised in the game?
Again…nope…I don’t see a kill date listed for her, so she may be available well past the event. Or not.

I have earned enough for Greystache, and the notification banner appeared – however, the character hasn’t actually appeared in my game. I have the tick on the prize track but nothing. Has anyone else experienced this (for Greystache or any other character)?
Any advice on how to rectify this or who to contact would be much appreciated!
Love the visual tasks! I love Dumbledore so I’m really enjoying the 8 hr task 🙂
Hi, I just experienced a problem that makes me nervous:
After Crawl, Lewd and Kearnymon were enchanted and roaming Springfield with their 4 hour tasks, I got Bully-vern and enchanted him too. During his enchanting, he was just in his cave with no wizards in front of him but it seemed that the enchantment worked. Now it seems he is enchanted since he roams Springfield with a 4 hour task and just dropped me a toilet.
But – and that freaks me out – this greenish event icon in the upper right corner of the screen has since Bully-verns enchantment an exclamation mark that I cannot figure out.

Once I click the event icon with the exclamation mark, it takes me to the event menu, specifically to the beasts, showing me Treestache (he is hidden, I did not buy him) first.
I don’t know what the exclamation mark wants to tell me. Maybe that I ran out of beasts that I can fight and that EA wants to recommend that I buy a new beast?
Since Bully-vern was my last beast at the moment, I wenn to him in the menu, but there is nothing the game tells me to do, he just is set free for his 4 hour task.

Chillax… they are actually just trying to get you to purchase one of the premium monsters. I had the same thing happen- and it implied that Treestache was ready to enchant. Sure… if you bought him.

Thank you, that’s awesome. I love Harry Potter, so even though EA wasted tons of potential for both a Potter and a Halloween event (the Dementors, Voldemort, Bellatrix, Gryffindor vs Slytherin, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Mad Eye Moody, Aragog, Hagrid and so much more they could have done for Potter and Halloween fans, like Hogwarts and Azkaban…), I am eager to get all of the new stuff (Which is low in number, but at least partially nice. Some wasted potential…).
Except all of those characters weren’t on the Simpsons…remember, this is an “Angelica Buttons” event, not really a Harry Potter event. Angelica Buttons was the Simpsons takeoff on Harry Potter, but, of course, it didn’t attempt to replicate the entire magnum opus.
The first task in the quest line for Greystash does show game currency in my game. So I’m saving his task until act 3.
I just got the Magic Shop this morning. I only bought Angelica & Martin. Didn’t buy Wiggops or Burns Dragon…though I would love that dragon. Hoping I manage to get Greystache.
So, Greystash cannot earn any event currency in Act 2 and hence doing his tasks, in case one gets him early enough, is recommend because his quest line is gone once Act 3 is there?
Do you have some pics of craftable items? I’d like to see what the iron fences, magic academy court and hanging lanterns look like.
Is the magic essence sucker of any use?
I have difficulties with earning things in Springfield Heights, I heard about Googloplex – how can I get it?

The questline will still be there, but the fairy dust he earns will probably be replaced with cash.

This event is way harder to earn event currency to complete, and earn Bonuts. My main account has almost every possible boost, Wizard Martin, little Miss Button , Raymundo, Wiggops and Treestache. All but the Burns Dragon, coz I mean Come On! Was that the most ridiculously priced thing or what!? So bummed too, as I really love dragons and really wanted that one but Daaaaaaaaaang! Anyway, even with all the extras & keeping Angelica & Raymundo on the 2 part task over and over, as well as the 2 extra mumster, I only just got Greystash “Stache” 😉 on my primary. (Have not reached Bonuts yet for Act 2, tho got them once on Act 1. The prior event got them 3 to 4 times on each act.) My 4 other mostly freemium accounts are only 1/2 way thru the prize track.
Speaking of dragons, anyone else a little disappointed in the really weird Bully Vern 3 headed Dragon design? So weird! All through act one I couldn’t wait to get to it as I thought it looked like it was gonna look so cool, but yikes! So weird! The upright almost worthiness of it. The feet don’t even move like it’s walking. The heads are still very cool, but the body and movement kinda hurts my eyes. Hmmmm…. don’t remember if I seen it breathe fire….? Anybody? Will have to go back and check.
Yes – all three heads breathe fire both out and up. This is actually my favorite monster of the bunch!
I’m surprised to hear that you’re finding this event difficult, considering theyou have premium characters and all. I’ve been playing much more laxly than usual and had no problem committing the prize track a day or two ago. But, yes, harder to earn bonuts and definitely harder to earn crafting currency. And neighbor visits pay out so little that they’re basically not even worth doing (unless you’re really desperate to get every last bit of event currency you can or unos you want to see what an item you’re thinking of getting looks like).
I got him with just wiggops and treestache, my lack of posting is a sign i had been busy lately.
If you check out the calendar you should not worry. You may get him on 30th if you keep the 4 hour grind with no bonuses
How do you get that muscular mustache animation? I thought I looked for it during his visible tasks, but haven’t seen it. I want it!

Is anyone’s else’s game really laggy?
Yep! The other day it was extremely so, but discovered when I suddenly got the low battery warning notification that my power strip switch got bumped to off during my kitty’s night patrol. So when I logged in this morning and noticed the lag, immediately checked battery level but no, not the problem this time as it showed 99%.
I am just happy its a full character and not another skin for Homer.

It seems they seperated the cauldron and the skin … I have the same problem and a few people in the EA forum as well …
I think they split that bundle up awhile back, when it was a returning item… so you probably won’t find her skin.
