It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

After a week off, the Simpsons are back tonight with an all-new episode! Will you be watching? What do you think will happen in the new episode?
Act 3 is in full swing, the final act of Halloween. Lord Montymort is finally on his last leg….what are your thoughts? Enjoying yourself? Ready for it to end? Ready to see what’s next?
ICYMI an all-new episode of Addicts Live aired yesterday. We talked about how TSTO isn’t ending anytime soon, a little more about Halloween and a few teasers about nuking.

Yesterday my game had an error and then a lot of things stopped working….like the character button in the left corner didn’t work, rail yard stopped working, etc…..Late today they called to help. They are going to have to reset my game to 2 days ago, which I suspected would have to happen.
The challenge is I earned 170 donuts in the last two days….100 donuts from a paid Scratcher and the rest earned from farming. She kept on saying I would lose anything from my progress in the last two days and resisted to confirm she would replace any missing donuts if not present after the game was restored…..even tho I used real for 100 of those donuts.
After 1 hour and 3 minutes of only getting vague non committal answers to having my donuts restored she disconnected the call….without resolving my broken game.
I requested a second call back. He called 2 hours later put me on hold to review my claim. Within 90 seconds of coming off hold he disconnected the call….obviously without resolving my broken game.
Neither bothered to call me back after obviously not resolving the issue.
So……once i can get someone who will not hang up….with 2 days left in the Harry Potter event, my game will be reset to 3 days ago…..leaving me no physical way to earn the Montymort character.
Just venting……so frustrating……
I’m onto the third round of defeating Lord Montymort but doesn’t look like I’m going to get done in time. I’m logging in 4, sometimes 5 times a day. Any other tips for me?
You should have a minimum of 2 hearts each 4 hour round. So that is 8 plus 8 or 16 periods. Max for Sun and Mon is 12 plus 1 today and maybe 1 Tues. So it may cost you a few donuts to speed up task. How many hearts have your finished?
Should be plenty of time. If not could you spare a handful of donuts to speed things up?
My game keeps saying, cannot connect to server😕
In addition to the previously mentioned glitches for this event, I have also discovered that my trolls aren’t removing TWO healths from Lord Montymort for each battle. Instead, they are only removing ONE. My trolls are currently on their THIRD battle today — but I only have removed two stars. Ugh.
I should already be finished with this part of the event (Battle for Springfield). The glitch in the first round put me behind quite a bit. Now, I understand why I went from being several days ahead to the point where I am beginning to lag behind (despite tapping every four hours an average of five times were day).
The glitches in this event have made an already mediocre experience feel like an awful waste of time.

Ex: I sent two trolls to battle Montymort. Together, they are supposed to remove two healths. However, I return to find that they’ve only removed one health. This makes an already tedious task to be TWICE AS LONG.
Please fix this, EA. Please.

Musicians, help jump start my memory. I play the ukulele.
The four notes:
GCEA are sometimes called,
Am7
Other times called,
C6
Sometimes the same 4 notes/chord change name within a given song – and back again.
I’m trying to remember what determines which name to use. There is a rule, just can’t remember the rule.
The tonic (the bottom-most note, usually) should determine which name you give it. If it’s A then call it an A minor chord. If it’s C then call it C maj. With G and E it’s an inversion of either, so it’s dealer’s choice.

Went to an intensive 11 hour session Friday. Asked the leader. His response was similar but suggested that the choice of which to choose dealt with where the the Melody line was going. Whether the composer wanted to emphasize the ‘A’ being the tonic or the ‘C’ being the important note.
I earned the Nuke Plant Burnsamort Towers yesterday, but I cannot find them in my inventory or when I tap on the towers. Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions?
It’s just a glitch some people are reporting. Try re-starting/re-syncing your game and then checking the Inventory. Don’t go into the Buildings folder or Decorations folder. Within the full main Inventory that initially pops up, start scrolling through. I found mine about 50 items in.

I keep having to sign in to my game every single time now. First it was every once and in awhile, now it is every time. Has anyone had this issue before?

Ok…is EA EVER going to fix the glitch! I am so over them not fixing things.
I don’t know if this was brought up and I missed it but there are two characters I seem to have missed a THOH adult and a Serfson. They are in my character check off thing but I don’t recall seeing them
I am disappointed that I can`t place the film set on the boardwalk or pier tiles like I can the wild west film set. I have developed a gaming/entertainment area on those tiles with an elaborate arcade, bowling, paint ball wild west film set, etc. The original film set would be a perfect addition to this, next to the wild west paint ball area. But nope, not today, so I won`t get it. Sad face…
I keep sending Lisa, Bart, Milford and the unicorn to defeat Montymort and the battle for 4 hours, but the quest still shows 0 of 3 defeats done! What am I doing wrong??
After your characters are sent and defeat his 15 hearts, you’ll have to send your beasts to defeat his 15 giant hearts. Only after ALL 30 of those hearts/giant hearts are defeated will you show 1/3.
I’ve already done that 3 t8mes. I’m on the 4th round. It only shows 1/3. Wish they would fix the glitch!
They supposedly fixed it yesterday. Numerous people who had the issue are now saying it works just fine.
They apparently fixed the glitch yesterday…but they didn’t credit us for all of our tapping. I should already be finished with this part of the event. I now have several more days of every-four-hours tapping to go.
Also: I am still having a problem with releasing my enchanted trolls only to come back later to find that they aren’t released. So, I did an experiment tonight — writing down the time, toad count, etc. after I released them. I came back to find two of my trolls aren’t released (although they were a couple of hours previously) and I was NOT credited any toads. It is very frustrating.
Just today it happened ALL THREE TIMES that I released the enchanted trolls. Once, it happened with four, then two and now two again. That represents 800 toads today that I should have earned that are lost due to whatever glitch is in the game.
Between the Defeat Montymort fail and this one, I went from being several days ahead of the calendar to up-to-date (despite tapping every four hours…even during the middle of the night).
This is the worst event of TSTO since I began tapping. It is even worse than the infamous pagan Christmas event (in my opinion). This is the first event that I feel like I am simply wasting my time tapping and getting nothing in return for it.
I’m a little disappointed that my five characters have no way of earning toads now that they’ve enchanted their five beasts, and two of those are busy earning 50% fewer toads battling Montymort.
Yeah, it was counterintuitive that premium wizards actually resulted in *less* event currency. 🙁
