Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Fall has arrived and there’s a haze over our Springfield’s, that can only mean one thing….it’s Halloween in our pocket-sized towns! This year EA’s thrown a little magic into the mix, with an Angelica Button theme invading our towns. We’ve got beasts to battle, creatures to capture, wizards to wand wave and goblin gold to gather! Quite a few alliteration altercations huh?
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the third act, you’re tasked with collecting Toad Princes (
) to unlock each prize!
The First act 3 Prize awarded at 1,300 is Barfy the Troll and his Bar, because we’ve already had see no and speak no Trolls, only fitting we get a speak no Troll…
So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 1,300 you’ll automatically be awarded Barfy (and his Bar) and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place the Bar in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later. Don’t store it…it helps with the event.
Once you’ve placed the Bar in Springfield you’ll get Barfy’s character unlock message:
And he’s the final piece of the THOH XXVIII Trolls Character Collection:
Yes, he’s a character, but no not a full character. Crawl is technically an NPC. (like Lewd and Crawl only the Barney version).
He does come with a short questline, here’s a look at it now:

Barfy: Oh no! The tap is empty. Time for a beer run. This would be a lot easier if I could fit in a car and drive somewhere. Maybe someone has a hay wagon they could tow me in?
Release Barfy- 4hrs.
Once you’ve completed Capturing and enchanting Barfy, you’ll be able to release him every 4hrs to earn event currency (without needing a wizard). We’ve got more info on releasing him, and what decorations he earns when you do so here. (Barfy awards the same decorations as Lewd and Crawl…no changes.)
Let’s move onto the quick details on the Bar…
Size: 4×4
Earns: Nada. Right now just a decoration, but this is the “hub” for Barfy. Once you’ve captured/enchanted him you’ll use the Bar to release him.
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Other Info: Can be placed on the grass/pavement/beach/dirt.

What’s Next?
Technically the Free Land Tile and a new venue unlocked is next….awarded at 3,900, but since that’s not a tangible gift for Springfield (just a free land space) the next prize we’ll cover is…
Skinner Boxkite- Awarded at 7,800. This will be the next prize we break down in the prize guide post.

Like if I don’t eventually do the the full quest line for each of these similar characters. Will they go away ????
What happens if I never do the capture & with all the rest of the quest ? Along with all the other characters that have the same quest & etc? I’ve already done LEWD all the way with his quest. But if rather have them just run around instead of having to go to each character spot in my town to activate their own walk a bout. You know ? Any help is needed.
The quest lines will stay long after you and I are gone!

A bit off topic but does Slithers help fight Montymort and beasts or is he still loyal his master and not fight him?
Even after the penultimate episode from season 28, when Mr. Burns puts him up for wager against Nigel, Smithers in any form will always remain loyal to his master.

No, he doesn’t Capture or Enchant beasts, or battle Lord Montymort.

Do you get anything after defeating Lord Voldeymort? I don’t think I’ve seen anyone saying what happens.
You get him.
Yup..that’s about it .. you get him. Then your icon will Potion disappear and Homer will start… then you get an 8 hours serving his First Life Sentence and then a 24 hour Life Sentence. You will see that in his tasks as Requires Quest.
Hi, sorry if it’s been mentioned in another post (tons of comments to scroll thru) but is anyone else stuck defeating Lord Voldeymort? I’m at 1/3 and have defeated him at least 3 times total but it doesn’t seem to affect the questline… Thanks!!!
You have to do a full round of normal (15 hearts) then you have to do a full round of Giant (15 hearts) then you have to do a 4 hour rest. This has to be done 3 times. It will register when you do a full normal a full Giant, and a 4 hour rest.

Yeah, I unlocked Lord Montymort yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately seems like a few people had a glitch that the 30 damage wasn’t registering a 1/3 defeat. Though for most people, it was them prematurely thinking they should be at 1/3 after their characters defeat 15 hearts, even though they’ve only defeated half of the tasks (or 15 of the 30 damage needed to actually record 1 defeat).
Is good to hear is working for most, guess I’ll keep trying a couple more rounds and if it’s still stuck, contact good I’m EA… Thanks everyone!!! Love the site and the community!
I did unlock him last night and now he is on his first 8 hour life sentence task. Then it will be a 24 hour life sentence task
I had thought there was a glitch when I first started fighting him but saw that I had to go through Normal, Giant, then rest x3 for everything to register.
I had the same problem.
I won Dracula today and that seemed to fix the fights as my counter then showed 2/3. For some reason the last 3 hearts were not registering defeated when I did the beast battles. It’s an odd one for sure!
No, EA brought a fix for that problem.
I’ve been fighting him for 4 days now, using all premium characters…have finished 3 complete rounds including the 4 hr rest in between and am still at 1 out of 3. So, you’re not alone. If I don’t finish up by the time I win Dracula, I will pass on Montymort…not spending another 4 days to get to 2/3.
I’ve been having this problem. I’ve also been experiencing a problem where my trolls aren’t earning anything despite having been sent out.
Example: I release my five already-enchanted trolls (when they aren’t fighting Lord Voldeymort) for their regular four-hour task intervals. Normally, this would earn me 100 toads, 40 goblin gold and 45 XP.
However, four hours later, I return to find them at “home” and my balance of toads, goblin gold and XP hasn’t changed. It is extremely frustrating.
I first thought that this was my imagination. However, I began writing down my numbers on paper. It hasn’t been my imagination. It is yet another glitch in this Worst. Event. Ever.
While Barfy is funny still wish the decorations were differents. For shame and lame EA.
It’s quite logical they have the same. All they want is beer, beer, beer and BEER 🍺 🍺 🍺 🍺 🍺
That would have been great if they were.. My issue is that you can’t do much with the decorations after a while. I have all of mine in storage and that is where they will end up staying. Might find a use for a few items later.
What can one do with. Can’t delete them or sell them.
17 beast cribs, 18 beast toilets, 67 Chaise Lounges, 29 Crushed Cars, 67 Dance Platforms, 29 Lard Lad Donuts, 66 Mead Crates, 35 Nerd Gold, 17 old TVs, 35 Skull Flags, 29, Weapon Racks, 35 Wedgie Skeletons,
Trees and Small Islands I can use but really don’t need them.
Since I am finished with collecting everything I have stopped putting them on tasks.. ya it will affect my free donuts in the end but rather that than have a stock pile of useless items.
Barfy reminds me of my early days of going to th pub. I never had a hangover after drinking heavily. I lost all of the beer 🍺 while being very drunk 😵
My brother and our mutual friends were no that “lucky”.
