Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s that time…calling all Springfield designs of Spooky (and not so spooky) Proportions! We’re getting ready to do the next Springfield Showoff featuring your Halloween inspired designs! So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
Now that the THOH event is nearing the end (remember it ends next Tuesday), it’s time to show off your towns. So send us your Halloween/Angelica Button inspired deigns and we’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs, on TUESDAY November 14th…so you’ve got about a week (ok a day short of a week) to prep your towns. Take your time and design as you see fit! 🙂
So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm EDT Monday, November 13th. Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂

For this event, I have about 3 different areas in my mind that I still want to finish off over the weekend: one is the Charmer’s Market that has the whacking day stalls, Magic Shoppe and some Kiosks from previous events, another is an area for the Bars, Cave and Alley from the Beasts and a small campus for the Magic Academy with the Magic Tower, Academy items from crafting and some nature related items like shrubs and trees.
Here’s my submission for the show-off, I apologise for it being late but if it doesn’t make it then I’ll post it in the comments of the post. (Those dark borders were really irritating when stitching so some of the images might be a bit off). 🙂

Hi Addicts! I’ve been playing TSTO since it’s launch (still playing it) and my town really in terrible mess since I last redecorated it … for ages. I think since the Superheroes event part 2. I’m planning to nuke it, so any tips to decorate it? What should I place first (buildings / roads etc) and should consider? Thanks for the advise and looking forward for inspirations from this showoff!

My ‘Beastiary’. The tendency to use dirt roads can be used to entrap all the beasts. Draw a rectangle of dirt road an place the lairs, bars or what the heck these things use to live in aside. Surround the whole ensemble with a decent wall and you have a circus, arena, prison or whatever you want it to be. The surrounding water keeps the beasts – wich are sometimes tunnelling through the walls – from escaping.
The school of magic isn’t designed yet. I will wait until the event is over to keep the money yielding buildings in town and discard the rest. Too late for the show-off 😜

A ‘maybe’ for all the magical clutter.
If Montymort has his only 4h task in the ruins (can’t check in the moment) they cannot be discarded. When Charmers Market gives no money I’ll discard it, too. The little pub resides in my winter/Christmas area. Walking KEM is somewhat special, I keep it for the profitable premium 4h tasks. When I bought all the land I will store it in my inventory to see my citizens at their natural visible tasks again.
Lord Montymort’s Lair and dracula aren’t appearing in my game? I earned all the prizes today. Anyone have the same issue?
You checked your Inventory for both? You can also restart/resync your game.
The show off always reminds me of a wish I have for the game.
I wish EA would feature an aesthetically pleasing town, either voted on or randomly chosen, to be the “Other Springfield”. It could change every day, week or month.
Not putting down their Other Springfield, yes I am. I mean, when you’re the programmer and have access to all in game content and ypu release that???

I used to copy the “Other Springfield” designs for a couple of years before the Springfield Heights update when it got changed. I think it would be interesting to see it get updated every couple of month or at the end of the year with items from the year’s updates.
I really liked that old design. I liked the layout of the town. Now it’s pretty bland.
