Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Fall has arrived and there’s a haze over our Springfield’s, that can only mean one thing….it’s Halloween in our pocket-sized towns! This year EA’s thrown a little magic into the mix, with an Angelica Button theme invading our towns. We’ve got beasts to battle, creatures to capture, wizards to wand wave and goblin gold to gather! Quite a few alliteration altercations huh?
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the third act, you’re tasked with collecting Toad Princes (
) to unlock each prize!
The third act 3 Prize awarded at 7,800 is the Skinner Box Kite, because Skinner always looks better in the air…
So let’s take a closer look at this third prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 7,800 you’ll automatically be awarded the kite and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place the kite in your Springfield or store it in your inventory for later.
Once placed in Springfield it does come with a tiny bit of dialogue…
Bart: That box kite is a perfect depiction of Principal Skinner. A big square! And oddly mesmerizing to watch.
And that’s pretty much it, place it and move on.
Let’s move onto the quick details of the Kite…
Size: 2×3
Earns: Nada. Right now just a decoration, maybe in the future it’ll come back for donuts and they’ll slap a bonus % on it. Until then…it’s just a kite.
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Other Info: Animated when tapped…arms and legs wave in the wind. Also always animated, sways slightly

I have the it next to the Skinner Balloon. As I have written before. Tapping the balloon is a guilty pleasure 😁

Does anyone with a bit of education in Psychology think this kite is a hilarious joke on the idea of in game prizes? Look up “skinner’s box”.
Given I can’t find a reference to it in the show, yeah, probably a jab at the game (and players). :p
Like most of the decorations from this event it went straight into storage.
Mine was sent asap too… the only one that maybe out of storage is the fairyfields
I currently have this with my Charmer’s Market because you don’t know what unusual things they have on sale just before Black Friday. 😀

Anyone else got montymorts lair yet and then can’t find it in storage?
I can’t find mine either.
I restarted the game and found it in my inventory. It applies it as a new skin on your existing cooling towers.
Had the same problem with Slithers.He disappeared when I go to him and reappeared automagically in my inventory after some hours.
check your power plant’s cooling towers…
Yup, took me ages too. But then realised that it’s simply a skin for the cooling towers.
More disappointment!
I’m glad it wasn’t just me! When I went to place it from inventory, it seemed as if it just went *poof*, but then triggered a task for Burns. I didn’t even notice that the towers had a different skin applied to them.
Its a skin for the regular power plant towers. I was hoping for a building too 😖

Mine isn’t showing up either. Anywhere. So… may be a bug.
And yes. I have restarted…done the Krustyland dance…and visited other Springfield. Still no skin.

I called EA 7 times the first time the guy says xan i put you on hold briefly? I said sure after 45 minutes i hung up called .I was also promised compensation of dohnuts but ever recieved any.before my lair miraculously showed up covering my cooling towere at the nuclear power plant. FYI those folks are the rudest ever. Hope you get your missing item soon.
It is supposed to do that. The Lair is a “costume” for the Cooling Towers.
This has been an odd event in that I’ve “finished” the event in that I’ve received Dracula. But I’m still doing the quest line related to Montymort. That pretty much means the opportunity for bonuts is rather limited.
That took me a bit to figure out. Excited to see what happens when I finally defeat him.
Yeah, I’m pretty annoyed. I’ve got Dracula but probably won’t get Montymort until Saturday or Sunday which means all the event currency I earn for the next few days is wasted and I’ve already got more goblin gold than I know what to do with.
Popped it next to the school, quite happy with it there 😊

Hoping it’ll be a Black Friday sale item. I’ve been waiting for it to show up again too.
So I had to contact EA support for the game. I finished the prize track for Act 3 and I didn’t get the last two prizes. Now I didn’t finish battling Lord Montymort ( so far I’m 2/3 ). Maybe I need to defeat Lord Montymort to earn Lord Montymort’s Lair and dracula? I’m asking here in hopes someone has defeated Lord Montymort and can tell me they have received these last two prize items. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
I received them both as I went. Won’t defeat Montymort until tonight.
No, I got Lord Montymort’s Lair on Friday, Count Dracula on Sunday, and Lord Montymort on Monday. So you definitely don’t need Lord Montymort before the others.

This is the most useless decoration of the entire event, IMHO. This animation should have been built into a character’s task, e.g., a task for Bart to fly the Skinner box kite, that shows him holding the string.
But the kite looks so nice next to the Skinner Balloon 🎈
Not a fan of the balloon, either, but at least that one makes more “sense” stand-alone.
It’s a guilty pleasure for me to tap the balloon whenever I find it 😁
I think it’s the most squandered potential of an item… no more useless than the oversized useless crystal ball, the useless hourglass, the useless… well, most of the decorations…
The hourglass is in my inventory, I’ll admit, but at least it felt like it was part of the event. What the Skinner kite has to do with the whole Angelica Buttons theme, I really can’t fathom.

I wish we had gotten the animation for Patty, Selma, and the cat flying on brooms to go with the Magical Vehicles Registry! Also liked the Japanese-style Krustyburger with the smoke animation.
It is the second time EA failed to bring all the Bouvier sister as a witch flying on a broom. Marge does regular nightly bloomly rounds in my Springfield

No context on how this relates to Halloween too. It would he nice if one or two of these decorations provided bonus. Even half a percent adds up over time. If you grind to get the prize up the reward a little EA…
