Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Fall has arrived and there’s a haze over our Springfield’s, that can only mean one thing….it’s Halloween in our pocket-sized towns! This year EA’s thrown a little magic into the mix, with an Angelica Button theme invading our towns. We’ve got beasts to battle, creatures to capture, wizards to wand wave and goblin gold to gather! Quite a few alliteration altercations huh?
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the third act, you’re tasked with collecting Toad Princes (
) to unlock each prize!
The sixth act 3 Prize awarded at 23,400 is Lord Montymort’s Lair, because even Lord Montymort needs somewhere to plan his evil schemes…
So let’s take a closer look at this sixth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 23,400 you’ll automatically be awarded the lair and you’ll see this message popup:
As you can see this one goes right into your inventory. Some of you are having trouble finding this one. You’ll have to look in your full inventory, not one of the categories…
Once placed in Springfield it does come with a tiny bit of dialogue and a task for Burns…

Not much to say about the Lair, it’s a skin for the Cooling Towers. Doesn’t add much else to Springfield except for a different appearance for the towers…

I was three hearts away from defeating montymort. I thought the update would come overnight. I would have gotten two hearts gone by afternoon and could have finished him off that evening or spend the two donuts. I go to check that afternoon and it required the update!!! Uggghhhhh!!! Can you still get him or pay the 6 donuts (three hearts left) to finish him off?
I dont see my count dracula any where ?????
Dude, I just got Dracula, but as a Freemium player am cutting it close on the Montymort quest I can tell. Thank goodness Safi warned me via your last podcast how many times you have to defeat Montymort or I would have been even even farther behind and not in such a hurry like I need to be to complete it successfully. I am farming a few KEM’s (25) every four hours within reason because I am going to definitely have to spend a few four donut rounds to speed along my last round where the monsters fight Montymort. Only four donuts each time to speed it up I an afford, not the eight it costs when the Simpsons non monster characters are fighting him. When Montymort slumbered after defeat last time it only cost two donuts to skip the four hours so I spent the donuts then

This is my worst showing at an Event since I started playing 4+ years ago. I’m going to get Dracula later tonight, but probably not complete the Montymort quest… what are the repercussions of that, if any?
Looks like I am one of several players who won Montymort’s lair and Dracula, only to be unable to find or deploy them. Both items are checked off on the prize track (I got more than enough points to complete all items on the prize track), but neither can be found in any category of my storage. If I look at the character collection for this event it shows the the various characters that I have completed or received, but Dracula is faded out as if he was never received. Likewise, tapping on the cooling towers reveals the 2 different skins I have for that, but not the new lair one that I should have received.
The problem is that I was tapping a mile a minute when each item was won, and so accidentally stored both the lair and Dracula instead of placing them. However, they are not in storage or anywhere else that I can find.
Any suggestions?
I found the two missing items. They were not listed in any of the individual inventory categories (characters, buildings, etc.), but were listed in the all-inclusive inventory category that lists EVERYTHING that you have.
For those getting close to defeating/getting Montymort, but worried…
Of course you’ll be able to buy him with donuts at the end of the event, but that could be expensive. In my mind, it was better to use a few strategic donuts to rush the battles. Here’s my take:
1. DO rush the 4 hr recovery period (2 donuts).
2. DO rush the beast battles (4 donuts each); as needed to feel comfortable.
3. DON’T rush the character battles (8 donuts each).
I haven’t been able to log in my usual 4x/day lately. By spending 12 donuts, I quickly cut 16 hours of tapping. Now I’m on track to get him by the end of the event. Beast battles are the final stage, so even if a couple more rushes are necessary, we’re still talking ~20 donuts spent for a full character.
For those worrying about Dracula; if you focus on Montymort battles and consistently release your beasts, you should get him without much of a problem. Good luck!
Are there any characters with frog prince earning tasks when the big monsters are fighting montymort?
Only 2 monsters can fight Montymort at a time so any others you have can be doing their normal tasks.
Just defeated montymort for the 3rd time and was very disappointedly by the payout, 50 goblin gold, thought after all that grinding and no Bonuts this act I thought some donuts would be on the cards, montymort now on an 8 hour task 😣

Yeah it’s just a Building Skin – but it’s a neat one – and I will take it vs another useless Decor going into Storage 👍
I unlocked the skin for the cooling towers. now i can’t find it in the inventory
Try tapping the cooling towers may be on that as its a skin
I’ve defeated Montymort twice but it still only says 1/3 in the tasks.
Did you beat both forms twice?
Any thoughts on what to craft, is there any that earn more than others when placed?
Not sure if i’ll get the final prize, still haven’t defeated Monty 3 times. I want all the stuff, but this is the year of both best and worst events. Bleargh!
I’m at the point of giving up on Tapped Out. Soo tired of this event and with there days to go I’m only at 1 of 3 defeats for moldymort. I play quiet often (multi times per day) but there is no way I’ll get another round of kids plus beasts to defeat him.
Plus the whole Harry Potter theme sucks. I already had the big crafting items from previous years events. Anyways…just putting my 2c into a rant.
I’m with you. I feel like I’ve been tapping A LOT during this event, only part way through defeating Lord Montymort the 2nd time. No way I’m spending donuts to rush just out of principle of how tedious this has been. I may or may not win Dracula. Not sure I care anymore! I all ready had all of the returning craft items so that’s been a bummer as well. I enjoy Harry Potter but this event has been a real snooze fest.
I’m having trouble getting there, because visiting my 100 friends isn’t giving me any frog princes. It’s still crediting me with the goblin gold, but not the frogs. It’s very frustrating, since the only thing I actually wanted from this event was Dracula. Is anyone else having this problem?
I’m still 2000 toads of dracula and just when i thought i will defeated morty the beast took their turn. Since i don’t have any premiun beast i don’t know if i will defeat him in time. I’m so tired of this event i want to finish already but at the same time i want to ‘get all’ before it does. I have issues i know…. darm game…

I really like the look of this skin because it is another Halloween themed skin in the game, I only wish that it was released earlier in the event so I could of kept it up for a while longer because in the winter I like to keep up the Candy Cooling Towers at the Power Plant.
I’m deliberately short on toad princes and probably won’t be getting this skin, which I’m ok with. About a week ago, my collection of mead, toilets and microphone stands started building up past a level with which I was comfortable, so I stopped sending beasts to earn currency. I still send Treestache because I like the things he earns – I’ve had a good number of willows – and have been fighting Montymort out of sheer bloodymindedness but it’s not likely to be enough.
How many people are earning bonus? I have completed the prize track in my one game, but am not earning bonus because I haven’t defeated Montymort 3 times yet.

The bonus donuts doesn’t start when you unlock all the prize track prizes. It starts when you complete the Act 3 questline.
I completed the questline on Monday, but I probably won’t get my first set of bonuts until tomorrow. (though to be fair, I’ve only tapped three times in the past 48 hours)
Since you’ve already got him? In your opinion is it worth spending donuts to unlock Montymort if we aren’t quite there when the event is almost over? I’ll be starting my 3rd round in the morning. Stupid cool down time is going to hit at 11pm.
Depends on the donut cost.
Anytime you can get a full character for under 70 donuts, it’s a steal.
For over 100 donuts, I’d pass.
70 to 100 is a gray zone and would depend on several factors including your views on the characters, your total amount of donuts, characters still to make appearances in your vault, etc., etc.
Okay, thanks so much for the quick response and the well thought out, fact filled response. All good things to consider. I’ve got three days yet, so hopefully I can get it down to a reasonable number. If not? Guess no Montymort for me. 70 is definitely about as high as I’d be willing to go for a presumably freemium character. Especially with Black Friday and Christmas right around the corner.
Just to update anyone who’s curious, I’m going to be one heart away from getting him fully unlocked for free by the looks of it. 4 donuts isn’t bad considering I figured I was going to be north of 20 when I originally asked Safi. Still slightly frustrating, though, if only because the whole event otherwise has been relatively lax but this aspect has been very much every 4hrs and for the first time since Wild West I’m going to fall short. Sigh.
At least I have the donuts to spare.
Rather than the “Buy Now” donut cost, consider spending a few sprinkles to rush tasks until you’re sure you’ll finish in time.
That was my plan. To rush the battles if it looked like I might miss – which yes, just barely, one round by the looks of it which makes me wish I’d rushed the cool down for half the cost. Live and learn. I’m glad it won’t be too much of a hit at least. Thanks 🙂
I did not get the lair skin or Dracula. I can’t figure out where they are. Neither appears in inventory.

I reached the final level and the prize track menu says I earned Count Dracula, but he is nowhere to be found. Nothing happened when I reached the level either. Is he a NPC? Is anyone else having this problem?
I had an issue with this as well, it locked my game up when I unlocked him. I restarted and found him in my inventory, but not in the characters section, just in the general inventory list (like Alissa said above with the lair skin). Hopefully this helps!
Worked like a charm! I had already checked the character inventory, but not the general one. Ton of junk from this event gunking up my inventory.
I definitely like the look of the skin. I could only switch between the standard and red/white christmas versions, so this is one of the few highlights in this event’s prizes.
Totally love this new look cooling tower/lair will montymort be standing on one of the ledges !like an evil overseer I hope so
