Black Friday Breakdown…Great Outdoor Mystery Box

Bonjour Beautiful Business-minded Bargain Box Budget Buyers & Barterers,

(Today’s post is sponsored by the letter “B”)

While yesterday Americans gave thanks and focused on the three F’s – Family, Food, and Football; today is Black Friday. Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving and is known for it’s promotional sales (Think “Boxing Day” sales the day after Christmas for those in the Commonwealth).

As was previewed on Monday in this post here, Black Friday has arrived and brought with it eight Mystery Boxes. So today we’ll take an in-depth look at each of these eight Mystery Boxes.

We continue with the Great Outdoor Mystery Box!

This is a premium box full of your chance to get those premium character/building/decorations you may have missed out on or hesitated to buy earlier for a discounted price of 80 donuts.  And…if you already have everything in the box you won’t see the box in your store. By now we should all be familiar with how Mystery Boxes work, so let’s jump to the breakdown of what’s inside…

Here’s what you can win…

Bear Cave – Originally 100 donuts, Should I Buy, comes with 0.75% to all XP and cash

Carl’s Dad Caverns – Originally part of the Wild Wild West 2016 prize track, No SIB as it’s never been for sale

Golf Course – Originally 100 donuts, Should I Buy, comes with 1.5% to all XP and cash

   Half-Pipe – Originally 100 donuts, Should I Buy

Kamp Krusty with Kamp Bart – Originally 200 donuts, Should I Buy, unlocks premium skin for Bart

Kwik-E-Mart Central Office – Originally 145 donuts, Should I Buy

Mount Carlmore – Originally 120 donuts, Should I Buy, comes with 3.5% to all XP and cash

Murderhorn – Originally 250 donuts, Should I Buy, comes with 5% to all XP and cash

Springfield Falls – Originally 90 donuts, Should I Buy

Springfield Gorge – Originally 250 donuts, Should I Buy, comes with 5% to all XP and cash, unlocks premium skin for Bart

Springfield Hunting Supplies with Grant Connor – Originally 135 donuts, Should I Buy, full playable character

Springfield Sign – Originally 170 donuts, Should I Buy, comes with 4.5% to all XP and cash

Sugarloaf Mountain – Originally 100 donuts, Should I Buy, comes with 3% to all XP and cash

Tailgate – Originally 200 donuts, Should I Buy, comes with 4% to all XP and cash

The Scout Master – Originally 100 donuts, Should I Buy, full playable character

Now, while I know you can’t pick and choose which items you want from the box, I included the Should I Buy posts from the past so you all can see how much they originally cost and what specifically each building, character, or decoration does.

80 donuts is a bargain for most of these items…except for items that were originally free, as getting it for free is the best deal…but still 80 donuts is a fair price for most of the items at least. So my thoughts are, if you have something in there you really want…give it a try. You’ll likely get something worth it. Though, personally, I’ll be going for the Character Mystery Box first.

And that’s it my friends!  The details on the Great Outdoor Mystery Box. Be sure to come back every few hours when I go into details about the other Mystery Boxes.

What are your thoughts on the Great Outdoor Mystery Box? Have you tried it yet? What have you won so far from the Great Outdoor Mystery Box? What do you hope to get from this one? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. In this box, I have the Springfield Gorge, Sugarloaf Mountain and the Golf Course which cost 450 donuts to get all 3 at the regular price and 240 donuts from the box, if I am lucky and don’t get more than 1 golf course or not one at all just get the Gorge and the Mountain. It looks like an ok box if I can get at least the Gorge or the Mountain.

  2. 160 donuts for the cavern (which does nothing for %) and a pedophilic scout master. Maybe the last time I’ll ever open boxes. I hate this mechanism.

  3. I wish they included the CEO Kwik E Mart with the HQ

  4. yes, Kamp Krusty! Next box…

  5. Can you translate what the sign says on the Kwik-E-Mart Central Office? I recognize it as Hindi.

  6. If they would let me choose what I want, then I would spend donuts. But no, EA just does not get it.

    • They do get it – I’ve spent more donuts this year than any previous Black Friday sale/event.

In this case, I got pretty lucky. Got the best bargains I didn’t already have (Gorge, Central Office, Grant Connor) with my first 3x boxes so I could quit with no regrets. Other boxes required I go a lot deeper (and pick up more unwanted items) to get what I wanted.

  7. This is the only box from which I want nothing, because I already own the stuff in it that I wanted.

  8. Can SOMEBODY please tell me where to find the character sets feature on the game??? I don’t know where it is!!!!!

  9. Golf course should have been a non premium item. 80 or 100 donuts for one hole is silly tbh. My country club features everything else instead.

  10. Pass. Already have Hunting Supplies, Murderhorn, Bear Cave, and the Gorge. Nothing else of interest in here.
