As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. The Turkey was stuffed, the pies were eaten & the malls were packed….and Thanksgiving is over! Bring on Christmas!
So now that the turkey day is over , I thought it would be a good time for another Springfield Showoff! This time featuring your Thanksiving inspired designs, as it can always be a little intimidating and frustrating trying to figure out just where to put all this stuff…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? And as always you guys came through big time! You guys have some great designs and ideas so let’s take a look:
Not a lot of submissions this time around. I guess you guys were a little uninspired by Turkey Day & more inspired by the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. So if you’re looking for a few more ideas here’s the showoff from last Thanksgiving.

Don’t know why I never thought about it before, but seeing 101Raynor’s design inspired me to redo my Slaugherhouse resturant right next to the Slaughterhouse factory
There’s a guy on Reddit.com that made a Costington’s day parade with the balloons, the crowds, santa’s sleigh etc. way cute.

101raynor, The deer is cute and it funny how he is standing next to the sign, he is protesting not to eat meat.
But… I hope he doesn’t tap the ‘Don’t eat Meat’ sign or he will be sad.. 🙁
I can’t remember seeing this before – “Finish your current quest to earn its reward” – but I thought it was a nice touch for EA to allow players to complete their quests before pulling the plug on the Thanksgiving event. If this is a new initiative and is something EA plans to continue with in future events, then thank you!
Now, fix the inventory please.
Anyone looking for a Christmas update might have to wait. I remember last year the Christmas Event Dropped late in December. I only hope EA does something Christmas related this time.
2016 event hit on December 6th, the first Tuesday in December.
2015 event hit on December 8th, 2nd Tuesday in December (first Tuesday was the 1st)
2014 event hit on December 3rd, first Wednesday in December
2013 event hit on December 10th, second Tuesday in December
2012 event hit on December 3rd, first MONDAY in December

Wasn’t the christmas update supposed to launch today?
Well….
1. No one knows (except EA) when it’ll launch unless EA puts out some kind of hint/teaser about it.
2. If it were to hit today, it wouldn’t hit for at least 4-5 more hours, at most 9-10 hrs. It wouldn’t be live right now.
3. Most of us think it’ll hit next week, December 5th. Since November 28th feels a little early for it. But it’s EA…so who knows…
I sure hope you’re right about the Christmas event not hitting until next week. I’m having surgery tomorrow and should be home from the hospital by then. Would be nice to not have to worry about a new event while in the hospital.

Those are nice. I never have any ideas where to put my small amount of Thanksgiving stuff because despite playing for 4 years they don’t really give you much to work with for it.
I’ve created a Holiday Park for all the seasons and there’s a section for Thanksgiving. Wish I could post a picture of what it looks like. Missed the Show Off deadline.
