Another day, another Mystery Box arrives in Springfield! This time, as part of a Christmas teaser, the Winter Wonderland Box is full of Christmas & Winter themed goodies from years past!
This is a premium box full of your chance to get those limited-time premium character/building/decorations with a Christmassy flair to them. By now we should all be familiar with how Mystery Boxes work, so let’s jump to the breakdown of what’s inside…
This Mystery Box is a great way to get items you may have missed out on from Previous Events at a low price…
And…if you already have everything in the box you won’t see the box in your store.
So for 50 donuts you can have your shot at a variety of Christmas/Winter Themed premium characters, skins, decorations and buildings from the past, 50 Donuts is less than the initial value for each item (although some were initially prizes, so they were free when released)

Now, while I know you can’t pick and choose which items you want from the box, I included the Should I Buy posts from the past so y’all can see how much they originally cost & what specifically each building/character does.
50 Donuts is a bargain for most of these items…except for items that were originally free, as getting it for free is the best deal…but still 50 donuts is a fair price for most of the items at least. So my thoughts are, if you have something in there you want…give it a try. You’ll likely get something worth it.

I thought this is a good chance to get premium items for a small amount as i am a freemium player. But at 50 donuts it is fairy steep price for this kinda gamble that you could get something you never want. Anyway I opened the box 4 times in hopes of getting the Ice Palace or the Ski Lift.
And i got the Snow Monster, Murderhorn, King Winter’s Cave and The Grumple. Not bad? I knew they won’t easily give a good stuff with one try so that is way i continuously open it 4 times. But… y.y Although i got nothing i wanted, consider myself lucky that the Funzo bundle did not come out 😉 I really don’t know how many times should i open the box(spend donuts) to get one of thoes items i want. Should i just save donuts and buy a single item i want? What do you think about the results from my mistery box? bad or worth the donuts?
Hi!! I used to play this game a lot but my cell break down and when I bought a new one i didn’t download the game. I recently downloaded just before the halloween event and i had like 45 donuts. I worked very hard, did all the daily jobs, the plaudough mini game and now i have 150 donuts. I worked really hard for them but i don’t know if i should spend them in this mistery box. I have everything in my box because i begin to play last year at january and my cell broke down in november so.. should i spent my donuts on the mistery box? i don’t like anything in the store but find the box interesting except for the funsos jaja… what do yo think?

Was taking my time on this mystery box (only a few items in mine), but thought I’d take a spin in it this morning – Suprise!, the box is gone in my game. Came here to see if I’m crazy (thinking a month remained) or if others had the same issue. Good to see I’m not crazy; thankful for this site. Hopfully it’s just a minor glitch and EA will return it with the Christmas update.
The box disappeared from my game. Bummer. I was looking forward to picking up the items over the month.

I only have the globe left in my mystery box. Before I spend 50 donuts on it, I was wondering if all the jobs there pay premium. Like could I send Grampa there and get more than if I sent him on a regular job?
2hr tasks earns $175, 40xp. (usually, that’s the payout or a 4hr task)
The only completely useless item in this box is the Funzo Bundle. Everything else is worth it. After spending donuts on a box like this when I got a pretty good chance to get something cool, guess what I got. The fucking Funzo Bundle. There should be extra donuts for people who never earn the cool shit. I’m sick of spending donuts and not getting a single cool item from any box.

I feel for you, my sympathies. Totally agreed, everything’s useful except Funzos. I’m hesitant about the mystery box, afraid I’d strike the funzos too and completely wasting my donuts
I’m trying for everything. I figure even the unwanted funzos at least will ensure that they never ever appear in any mystery box for me again! Think long-term. Otherwise the rest do appeal, and usually I’m not very interested in mystery boxes.
My problem is that I also want to stock up on those 19-donut cat statues with 2% bonus. If I get the Murderhorn (5% bonus) and the 4% ski lift, I may rethink trying for the rest. I already won the Grumple, the Spruce Caboose and the big Snow Globe and am happy with those for the price. I’ve been spending game dollars on rat trap delivery trucks to at least pick up a few 2% cats while I’m deciding because they speed up my KEM garden donut harvest. It takes me a couple of days to get 50 donuts by harvesting and in other ways if I’m diligent.

Back from golf in spain, there online twice a day (8 and 12h tasks, bought KEM as much as I can) I have finally every christmas skin (and the plug 🙂 ) plus 500 D put aside for whatever will come in the next update.
Now it is time for my personal Advent calendar: 1x Christmas mystery box a day, the rest of the donuts farmed (until the 500 D limit is reached) in ‘normal’ mystery boxes for my bonus %.

With 13 possibilities in my box I got the goddam funzos! Used all my donuts 😕
I only had the snow globe, slide factory and murderhorn in my box. Since I didn’t really participate in the other deals I was like fine, whatevs. I’ll bite. I got the snow globe. There really isn’t a should I buy for it but considering how much it originally cost…I’m okay with that of the 3.
The Murderhorn has a 5% bonus, in case that inspires you.
I’m glad that the Funzos were valued at 180 donuts against Grumples 120, because I’m sure that’s the reason why I got Grumple instead of the nasty little creepers. Yay! 😀
They were the only two items in my xmas box. I think I got the premium ones from the Christmas box last year.
Man…I am just not a fan of the Mystery Box concept. Would rather have rebate items. But, what the heck. As a newly christened donut farmer (at least until I reach level 939) it didn’t cost me more than a bit of tapping time.
But…I wanted the Ski Lift or the Ice Palace…both of which have decent % multipliers…and Boom…was rewarded with the one thing I didn’t want. The Slide Factory. Since when is that Christmassy? But, it did have a bonus with it…so not altogether bummed.

The first thing I got was the slide factory too. But there’s no multiplier with it, just Barts 4 hour task, which is at least premium, though I already have a premium for him with the Shadow knight. I wouldn’t have bought it by choice but it does look cool and fits in with the school section.
Hoping to get SSF, Plough King or even King Winter. I have about 1/6 odds on getting one of them as there’s 18 items in the box haha
I have been slowly amassing a small fortune of 400+ donuts, and not been spending because none of the items in the vault or other discounted items are ones I want. I’m perfectly fine with just hoarding them until the EA jerks finally decide to give me what I want at a discount. Oh I remember the days when donuts were nearly impossible to gather without shelling out some real dough, so that’s one sort of nice thing the game has changed… but I did like the rewards they used to have for daily logins.,
That was the first thing I got as well. I like it because it’s fun. I put it near my Blocko building.
I just wasted 50 for festive CBG. As a new player, I’m really not liking these mystery boxes. Saved all my donuts for Black Friday, and it was indeed black…err bleak.

Same thing with Santa Homer…I bought the Ned and Homer Santa skin package from the other mystery box and Ned’s Santa skin is premium, but Homer’s isn’t. Doesn’t seem right…
Hmm, Snow Monster has a 4hr task, locked, ‘Requires Krusty Burger’. I have a Krusty Burger. Anyone else have this issue?
Any chance you have a skin for Krusty Burger and activated it? I noticed a while back that my Kwik-E-Mart quests weren’t working when my old “Kill-e-mart” skin was on.
Make sure you have the original krustyburger out.
That was it, thanks; I noticed I had two separate Krusty Burgers in inventory. Apparently the original is different. :p

I had some luck this time.
Got me 3 boxes. Got Winter king, Grumple and the slide factory. Surely worth the 150 donuts. Didn’t really want the slide factorÿ but the first 2 are a good deal.
Especially grumple has a great storyline.
Now i stop buying boxes until i see what Christmas has to offer.
Against my better judgment I went ahead and grabbed a box in hopes of something to up my bonus % a bit. And of course I got Plow King! Yay! Nothing like a premium skin for an already premium character! A premium character I don’t even have too! Good start for me.
Well, it beats Funzos. I got $100 for completing the set, and they immediately went into inventory.
I’d say they’re tied. Both are useless, especially without Barney. If the Plow King at least came with his plow that’d be one thing. But honestly I rarely find it worth it to buy premium skins for already premium characters.
Rolled twice and of course I would get 2 items that were previously free lol. (Dancing Reindeer and Ski Chalet)
FYI, Plow King doesn’t come with a quest line. Disappointed.
Very disappointed by this also. I just hopped on here to ask if I was missing something to trigger it.
I got really lucky on this one. This is my first Christmas so the box was full of stuff that I wanted and that I didn’t want. I wanted all the characters and got them with 9 items to go. Ended up with some skins that were classic (Maggie, Plow King, Mr. Plow, Ice Martin, Sexy Flanders) and on the second tier of things I wanted. Now I can try to replenish before next week when I assume we’ll get more options to buy
Only Snow Globe, Sky lift, Funzos, Grumple and Ice castle in box for me (have the rest). So considering the donuts price, every single one of them is a bargain for 50 donuts. Will have to save some to try the box few times.
Cool that snow monster is now a full character. I never bother with NPCs so he’s been in storage since I got him but I’ve brought him out now. Doesn’t seem like he has a quest line though?
In my town he sweeps with his broom….all day every day. That way i can see him all the time. 😊
